"Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I am sorry that it appears you were dissatisfied with our services and would like to specifically address these concerns. After initially purchasing a $49 A/C tune-up through the Big Deal, we began our correspondence on August 11, 2014. We started arranging a maintenance appointment for you, but quickly learned that your unit was not in good working order. We discussed over the phone and I followed up with an email to detail that your unit was actually in need of a service call first to see why it wasn’t working properly; and we were able to get out to you on the same day. Our service call fee ($119 in this case) provided a professional technician to your door in a fully stocked truck and full uniform. As I mentioned in the email, he would arrive, introduce himself, and assess the unit. Once he had made his determinations, he would sit down with you to discuss the findings. All of our pricing is presented upfront, so that you can make the decision as to what path you would like to follow. When our technician arrived at your home, he found several major concerns with the unit. The indoor coil was frozen (which is why it wasn’t cooling well). Upon finding this condition, the technician presented you with pricing to de-ice the coil ($202) and to perform a leak search ($202) to determine why the coil was frozen in the first place. It is our policy to present this pricing upfront for your authorization. If this was not the case, please let us know and we will address this concern. After de-icing the coil, he performed a leak search on the unit and located leaks on both service valves as well as the coil itself. Unfortunately, a coil was not available at that immediate time so we rescheduled a few days later when the part would be in. Upon receiving the part, we returned to the home to replace the coil, the service valves, and to completely recharge the system with refrigerant ($1511). (Total bill from both days, $2034) As I mentioned above, our policy is to present all of our pricing upfront for your agreement before moving forward. This started with our phone call when you agreed to the $119 service call fee and continued as the technician had you authorize the work that he was doing. In authorizing this work, we were able to restore the cooling to your home. I am sorry if you were not satisfied with our service. We would be happy to address the specifics of this call with you at any time. Thank you for your business and please let us know if we can do anything else."

Very polite and punctual. I believe the repairman/inspector did a very thorough job. He did make recommendations for additional work on my heating system that I appreciated but which I thought were pricey.

Overall, the service call and repair was a very positive experience and would highly recommend.
Our heat was out, it was the beginning of winter and I was nervous about the repair cost going in. I did what I could do to try to figure it out but eventually knew I needed to call a repairman. I went on Angie's list and saw several provider reviews and chose One Hour Heating and Air. I choose their 'Big Deal' coupon through Angie's list and it ended up saving about $70 on the repair visit.
The service call was courteous. The service call rep was able to answer all my questions and had the repair visit scheduled in 2 days. Could have had the repair visit the next day but this fit our schedule better.
The repairman showed up on time and was able to diagnosis the problem within 5-10 mins. The repair options were clearly laid out, chose the middle of the road cost, and the problem was fixed within 30 mins. Thankfully it was a relatively minor repair but I know it was done right, fit our needs & we now have heat! The repairman Dave was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, courteous, respectful to your home and patient with all my questions, etc.. Learned a lot and would ask for him again. Nothing bad to say. I was very pleased with the service call and repair - really like the new thermostat. Thanks!
The only negatives I can say, is that the overall cost seemed a little pricey. I looked online after the repair and the replacement part cost about $80 and the total cost was about $310 with all the coupon/discounts. But I checked around some and the price was competitive with other service providers so this really isn't a negative; just the cost of owning a home I figure.. The only other thing I can say is that the initial visit is geared toward getting a service contract (ie it offered a 20% discount on the current repair) - so get ready for a decision. I initially said no like I always do for any service contract but after asking a few questions later I took it. In the end, I know I will probably lose some money as in any service contract, which ironically is a good thing, but its nice knowing I have a service provider on call for free that I trust, can get constructive advice from and will get the job done right to my satisfaction, my 2 HVACs and water heater will be well maintained (2 service visits for each a year) , will work efficiently and will last full-life with all repairs up to $500 per visit covered. So time will tell but I can always cancel for just $30 if the yearly contact is cancelled early. Catastrophic coverage and air filters are not covered.. Its tough to live without Heat/AC or hot water! Anything else in our home I probably would not insure as they probably can be replaced under $1000, except maybe the plumbing which is covered under our mortgage ins. to a degree. It seemed worth it to me compared to the monthly cost... Hope this helps. Good luck!
