This contractor started the job without a permit & was issued a STOP WORK order. This caused me to pay double for the permit because it was not issued before the work was started. Building inspector found that the foottings were not to code depth & needed to be deeper. Simply carpentry attempted to charge me more to redo the footings & would not come back for over 1 month to correct the problem. I had to withhold final payment until he corrected the code violations. The door in the enclosure was installed on the wrong side of the porch & they refused to change it. I would not recommend this company. They did not follow the rules of the PENNSYLVANIA HOME IMPROVEMENT CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT Specifically, ? 517.7. Home improvement contracts. Buyer beware.

I was so very happy and impressed with this company, locally family owned, they only work on one home at a time. Very professional and I actually enjoyed have my kitchen ripped apart and watch the process of putting back together. Simply Carpentry works quickly too: not alot of standing around these guys hustle.
