Description of Work: I called to schedule an appointment to repair a Bosch dishwasher. I was told they do not service our area. In their description of their service area, Lower Bucks County is listed. I'm baffled why they wouldn't schedule an appointment when we are in their service area.

Description of Work: Had a problem with my Thermador Oven - timer was beeping when oven was off. Checked out oven and found problem with touch pad. Fixed and no problem since. Technician was professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the oven and the problem.

Description of Work: Needed hose on dishwasher. Joe, who came out, was nice, had to order hose. Was without dishwasher over Christmas holidays, about a month. Said they could not get hose. My Husband ordered directly and had it here overnight. Made three calls to office for app't. Finally told they would come at 9 am. three days later. By noon no one here, husband called and they told him they changed schedule and would come around 3. No one had called or told us of change. Repairman(Joe) was fine but will not support ACE again.

+ -1 moreThe company came to give me an estimate to repair my thermador oven. I paid the 90.00 for a 1/2 service call and then the estimate they gave me was for 359.00 for parts and labor so I called thermador directly for the part which they were willing to give me at 16.50 and Ace wanted to charge me 90.00 for this same part. they do not charge an hourly rate just a flat rate for labor of 250.00 regardless of wether it takes 30 minute or 2 hours. I have called 2 other Thermador appliance repair companies and they have quoted me a price of 100-150.00 to install the part. That is a savings of over 200.00. This Ace Appliance is a rip off! They gouge people on prices!

+ -1 moreAfter 4 days we called them looking for the estimate. Quoted an additional $745. We declined parts/service. Bought parts from manufacturer for $95 installed them myself and it now works fine. The technician was polite, fast and showed up on time.
Description of Work: Called for service on diswasher. Technician came to house, advised the washer needed parts (motor and controller) and they would call the next day with an estimate. Paid $89.95 for service call.

Description of Work: I had them fix my washing machine because it was not turning on. They did this by cleaning out the track. Something had gotten caught in it and the washing machine has an automatic shut off feature in that case.

Description of Work: The Ace repair man was called to repair our laundry dryer. He came at the agreed time and found the cause of the malfunction. Because of the cost of the parts involve and the age of the dryer he recommended that we not repairing the dryer but buying a new one. He did not recommend a retailer for such a purchase.

+ -1 moreAttended promptly, but did nothing that couldn't t have been done over the phone. Quoted over $800 to replace the clock and control panel. I ordered the control panel from partselect.com (numerous websites that give appliance troubleshooting and fault code information suggested there's no need for the clock) and installed it myself. Problem solved for $178, about 15 minutes of my time, and the cost of wear on a screwdriver. Even allowing for the higher parts costs, the hourly labor rate implicit in their quote is beyond absurd.

However, we later found out from Sears (our dryer is a Kenmore) that the part required costs about $18.!! So it seems that $250 for about 35 minutes of work was a very steep price.
