Personnel both on the phone and conducting the repairs were polite, professional, and efficient. Problem was diagnosed quickly - a part had to be ordered, but once the part arrived the follow up appointment was scheduled quickly and the repair completed. Would definitely use Ace again!

It took two visits; one to assess the problem situation and one to replace the part after Ace ordered a replacement. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Repairmen came on time and called to let me know they were on their way.

The Ace technicians arrived timely and went right to work since they suspected what the problem was. They were professional and polite and they showed me the problem and had suggestions going forward to keep the washer running properly.

I originally called on a Monday. I read the error code and message when I called for service. Service was schedule for between 9am-12pm that Wednesday. We received a call mid-morning saying that tech would now arrive between 12pm-2pm. At 1:15pm, we called to confirm the tech would be coming. We were assured that they would be there by 2pm. At 2:20pm, we called and said that we had to reschedule since the tech was still not on his way. We rescheduled to the following Monday. The tech came out, looked at the error code, and told my husband that we needed a new fan. My husband pointed out that I gave the error code when I called for service. The tech said that he needed to confirm the code before ordering the part. The part would be another 2wks and cost $525. It cost $95.35 for them to just come out and read the code that I already gave them over the phone. My husband called around. We had the part in a much shorter time frame, and the part and repair only cost $198. We just moved this summer and had used this provider at least a half a dozen times at our previous house. We thought they were expensive due to our high-end appliances, but this is a GE oven and they were still expensive. We hadn't comparison shopped in the past, since this is was the company recommended by the place were bought our appliances. I called the company and spoke to a manager to complain about the way the call was handled...from waiting for a repairman that never showed, to not ordering the part when I called originally, to charging us $95.35 to come to our house and read the error code that we had provided over the phone. I was calm and just stated all the facts. He claimed that the tech had to check the oven to make sure it wasn't a faulty switch before ordering a part. I said that the tech didn't check anything on the oven except the error code. When I said that we ended up using a different company that was able to perform the repair quicker, he said that it sounded like I had found a new company that I was happy with. I pointed out that we had used Acequite a bit in the past and that us having a different company complete the repair wasn't the point. I said the point was how badly they failed from the beginning to end of the service process. He said that clients come and clients go. I was infuriated. He didn't offer an apology or say that he'll look at their processes or even pretend to care. He finally asked what I wanted. I said that I wanted acknowledgement that they screwed up multiple times throughout the process, and I wanted a refund of the $95.35. He said that he would have to talk to the person who was in charge of this call to find out what happened and that I'd receive a call back next week. Based on his lack of acknowledgement that anything may have been handled poorly with this service call, I'm not expecting anything except more frustration at his lack of customer service IF he happens to call me back next week.

Hi, I would like to apologize for the scheduling issues and the way your call was handled. We do not stock the fan motor for your Whirlpool oven and prior to ordering any parts we like to verify what parts are needed. When parts are ordered they usually arrive in a day or two. We are a Factory Authorized Servicer and only use factory parts, which are more expensive. If the cooling fan was replaced by the other company you mentioned and they installed a new factory part, then you got an exception price on that repair, considering the price of the part is more than you paid for the total repair including labor. Please send us a copy of the repair from the other company so we can show our technician what was done and avoid any issues like this in the future. I have spoken to our service manager who is handling your complaint and he assured me he has talked with you and will be refunding the service call you paid. Sent message through Angie's List and received prompt call back to schedule service. Technician arrived on time and was careful to put down mats and protect everything and was able to quickly find the problem and fix. Scheduling person and technician were very friendly and easy to work with through the whole process. I was very happy and will definitely call them for future appliance repair needs.

We scheduled multiple visits with them (at least 3), which required changing our schedules so that we would be available when they arrived. Each time they called a day or two before and had to cancel the meeting. The last time I spoke with them there was a 'yeah... we are really busy this summer and can't keep up with our commitments...." excuse. We ended up going with another provider who came the next day.

Service was great. Company gave a time window in morning, called 40 mins in advance, showed up on time. Technician was professional and efficient. Job was completed within half hour. This is second time I've recently used this outfit and I'd highly recommend.

They ordered the parts and came back when promised and complete the work. They also suggested that they add me to their annual mailing list so that I will be notified when my inspection was due, rather than having to remember.

It turned out that I was mistaken that the washer needed repair, and of course I did have to pay for the service call. However, the repair man was very nice, explained use and care of the machine to me, and the company not only got a repairman out to me the next day so the repair could be done before Thanksgiving, but gave me a 2 hour window and came right on time. I'm still kicking myself over not understanding the dishwasher settings, but I have nothing but good things to say about Ace's service.

Very poorly. I scheduled a forth appointment to fix the same problem they could not fix the first 3 times. Asked for 1st thing in the morning which was 8 AM. At 9:15 I had to called them and they said they had a tech call out sick and my tech would not be there until at least 10AM.They refused to schedule some one at a time convenient to me after I lost 2 hours of work. They offered no solutions.

They didn't show up. When I called they cut me off while I was talking. When I called back the service provider said he was behind. I let them know I would not be here so we have to reschedule. I asked them 'do you want this job or not' and they said 'well no, I do not need this job. I gave them a 4 hour window to come to my home and they never showed up or call me. He did not care about his reputation. I will never call them again

DO NOT USE. Run, do not walk from these people. Unresponsive, incompetent, arrogant and dishonest. What more are you looking for in appliance repair?
Description of Work: This company was brought in to repair a dishwasher. Not only did they not properly evaluate the problem (and therefore did not have the correct parts to repair the dishwasher), when they returned they told the appliance manufacturer that the problem was user error that had rendered the appliance irreparably damaged. This was very clearly not the case - my wife and I live alone in a highly customized, very expensive apartment in one of the most exclusive areas in town. We ran the dishwasher just a few times per week and never did any damage to the unit. The repairman was simply trying to cover up that he had not done a full diagnosis on a previous visit (although that had been paid for), and that he may have further damaged the unit.

My husband called Ace Appliance after getting a referral from Bosch to repair our Bosch dishwasher (Bosch themselves could come out but the cost was going to be waaaaaay high) . My husband called Ace Appliance on a Monday afternoon and they were able to come Wednesday morning. I received a call from them at 10:00 AM letting me know the serviceman, Patrick, was on his way. He arrived at 10:15 and was able to diagnose the problem within 10 minutes and replace the pump to our dishwasher in about 20 minutes. The cost was $385 for the trip out, parts and labor. In comparison to purchasing and installing a new dishwasher ($1000+), I was happy with the price. Patrick did an excellent job and I was very pleased with the promptness and service. I would definately call them again for any appliance repair.

Joe from Ace addressed a problem we had with a Whirlpool refrigerator, under warranty from Lowe's. We were scheduled for a repair visit, but the afternoon before, we received a call from Ace saying that their repairman would be able to come right over if that suited. It did. Joe arrived soon thereafter, very quickly identified the problem, and expertly went about dismantling the unit to make the repair. When finished, he even checked to ensure that the factory had installed a particular part, one that he said was important but sometimes missing. Pleasant, professional and efficient; can't ask for much more. Our service call was covered under our service warranty, so I can't speak to what the charges would have been. We'll use them, and specifically Joe, again.
Description of Work: A blockage in the defrost drainage system was identified and removed.

We thought that our dryer wasn't working and the repairperson noted that the problem was with the vent and not the dryer itself. They fixed that. It was a positive experience. They came out in a timely manner. They were presentable and friendly. They were professional and took care of business.

I called this company on Monday morning because my dryer quit working. The scheduler said she could send someone on Wednesday and if I called back Wed. morning she would give me a time range. When I called Wednesday morning I was told a repairman would be at my home between 12 and 2. At 2:30 I called to find out if the repairman was on his way and was told he was finishing a job in Wayne and would come to my home next. Fifteen minutes later a man called and said the repairmen were behind and that they weren't going to show up at all. When I asked why they couldn't come later, that I had rearranged my day so I could be home for the appointment, I was told that they quit working at 4:30 so I would have to reschedule for another day. They canceled on me so late in the day that my chances of finding a responsible company to fix my dryer today are slim to none. Do not use this company unless you want to wait around all day, only to be dissappointed because they apparently can't keep their commitments and would rather leave their customers hanging than have to work past 4:30 to honor those commitments.

Everyone was very polite, professional and seemed knowledgeable but the overpricing and scheduling inflexibility is just not something I can overcome.
Description of Work: Called because my oven was not heating. The first available appointment was 5 days out. So, I had to live without my oven for almost a week. Then, when the repairman finally came, he explained that the door was slightly bent off its hinges so the door was not clicking completely into place. That sounded like a quick fix BUT NO -- this meant a $600 (just in parts) and another week to order parts and reschedule service. I was speechless. Then, the gravy for the appointment (which lasted 15 minutes) was a $90 service fee for simply coming out today and not fixing anything. I will not use Ace again.

Scheduling wasn't a problem. I was not in a rush and did not demand immediate service. A day was suggested which I accepted. Morning or afternoon? I chose morning. When contacted the morning of service and told I would be in the afternoon instead of morning I was not happy. Needless waste of my time. No consideration and even worse waiting until after 3:00 pm to let me know they wouldn't come at all. They did want to reschedule for Monday so we could do this again. I don't think so.
Description of Work: When I first purchased my Bosch dishwasher I had a problem and they recommended Ace. Now, a few years later, I have a similar issue and contacted them for service. When I made the appointment I was asked if I wished for an 8am-12noon OR afternoon appointment. I chose a morning appointment and rearranged by schedule. At 8:15 am on the scheduled morning I received a call saying they schedule the night before using the locations of service as a guide so as to save gas. I was told I would be on the schedule for early afternoon despite the necessity of my schedule. This representative told me they do not promise morning or afternoon when scheduling appointments. It is now after 3:00 and I just received a call stating, surprise, they want to reschedule for Monday. Very unprofessional. Thanks anyway, I'll use another company.

They were able to schedule an appointment the following day to inspect my dryer. He suggested that I not fix my dryer, but it would be in my best interest to buy a new dryer. He said I would be wasting my money fixing the dryer. They are honest and trustworthy. They are also prompt.

The guy said the controler board needed to be replaced within 20 minutes of showing up. Gave me an estimate to replace the part that was double of what I paid to get the part replaced by another company.
Description of Work: Amana Refridgerator was warm. Freezer was working. He said it was the controler board and gave an estimate of almost $400 to replace the part. I had another company replace the part for about $200.

Jim, who has serviced our appliance several times, came over and looked at the refridgerator. We had recently replaced the water filter for the dispenser but were getting flakes in the water. Jim made several calls and was advised to order a new water well unit. When he returned to put it in we found that we still had a problem. We then ordered a new filter housing and parts. Again, Jim came to install it but found it would not fix the problem. We did not install it. I apprecaite Ace's quick professional response and thorough research that was done. This wasa highly unsual probelm and Jim made many phone calls to find out how to handle the problem. I don't mind paying a service charge if someone is truly trying to fix an issue and Ace did this. Though the problem still exists I know we have done all we can and that we didn't spend a fortune on something that can't be resolved short of buying a new refridgerator.
Description of Work: My Jenn-Aire refriderator water filter was not working properly. There were flakes in the water dispensed from the door.

I was satisfied with them and they were fine. Everything had to be redone to fix my washing machine. The guy who came out gave me an estimate for $700. I was being told that I had to replace the whole drum which was actually going to be $1200. So, he just recommended that I should buy a new one. I was charged for the service call. I guess I chose him either because of his proximity or availability. He came on time. He was personable and tidy. I have never had to have somebody come out and look at a big appliance before. So, I have nothing to compare it to, but he was here for about 45 minutes. He also pointed out things that I was doing wrong in maintaining the machine, since I was using too much of soap. He could see mildew inside the machine and he also recommended that I use powdered soap in front loading washers rather than liquid soaps. Some of the liquid soaps create mildew. If need be, then I would call him back in the future.
Description of Work: I used Ace Appliance Service to have my washing machine repaired on 5th of March, since there was some quantity of oil that was leaking into my clothes.

It went very well. The repairman suggested that it would probably be worth buying a new dishwasher as the drain pump and another motor had gone on the one we had and he estimated it was going to cost between $600-900 to repair. He said the office would call me by Monday (he came on a Friday) with the estimate which they did. They do not sell appliances so they had nothing to gain by recommending buying a new one as opposed to repairing the one we had. Because we did not have service done, the cost was just for making the service call and this is what he told us it would cost.
