Originally came to install a gas heater I purchased from Home depot but could not get it to work. Offered to repair the boiler in the basement instead to try to get it working after I said another repairman told me it was cracked. The pump needed to be replaced, so he did that but the boiler still did not work. Also repaired a pipe in the basement that had a hole in it, although this was not requested. Left remaining copper pipe in my home for over 2 weeks before coming back to get it. Not a big deal to me at all but others may have found it unprofessional to leave excess material behind. I appreciate that he tried diligently to install the gas heater from home depot, I later found out it was faulty and would have never worked. I'm sad that I basically paid $330 for a new pump on a broken boiler. Nice guy, but still in the same boat.

They had serviced the furnace before I had the house. They had a sticker on the outside of the furnace. That's how I found them and I have been quite pleased with their service. When we had a warm spell, I turned the furnace off and then when I went to turn it back on, it wouldn't come on. When I came down and looked at the furnace, the plastic case on the outside of the circuit board was melted so the circuit board failed. It must have gotten overheated. I tried to get a circuit board myself and wire it up. It wasn't working so that's when I decided it was time to call an expert. It was $125.00 for just labor because I had already bought the parts. The parts ran me about $125.00 so the total repair to me was about $300.00. The service was good. The guy was here for about an hour. I have had no problems since. He didn't leave the place a mess. He made sure he cleaned up after himself. That was nice. The experience was good. It's the price I didn't like. He came the same day I called. He said he would be over at a certain time and he was there.
Description of Work: RC McCleary serviced my furnace.
