Giroud Tree & Lawn Care

This is the second time I've used Giroud and they were out on time as promised for the estimate, completed work as promised and overall I find them to be professional, informative and great work!

They were prompt, professional and cleaned up well.

Giroud is a very professional organization, and their prices are competitive.  I have had other lawn treatment services for more money and they didn't perform as well as Giroud. They always schedule a day or two before the treatments,  arrive on schedule, perform their services, and leave an invoice that I can either pay by check or mail later.  They will visit between treatments free of charge if there is a problem.  My lawn has never looked better.  I like that I don't have to give them my credit card number to make automatic payments each month.  The technicians are polite, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They even advised me to keep my dogs inside for at least one hour after treatment.    I would recommend this company to anyone.

I was pleased at the quick response, but I felt he was in such a hurry and really did not seem to hear what I was questioning about the task. His quote was excellent, and compared favorably to the others I got, but he indicated they were clearly busy and would date the job out several weeks. I felt I wanted to go with a provider who did not try to advise me they were to busy right now.

I like the quality. They're clean, did the job and clean after themselves.

I think they're wonderful. I think they're really good and I believe in them. I think my son is using them because I recommended them. If you really want good pruning, they know trees, they know what to do, they keep things really healthy and done right. I would recommend Giroud and in fact I've recommended them to a lot of people but I do know that they're more expensive than others.

The work crew showed up on time and they were very efficient and professional.  The work took two full days.  Both trees were very close to the house and my neighbors property.  They took extreme care not cause damage to any of the structures or shrubs near the trees. I was very pleased with the work and would definely use them again for tree work.

They came out this morning and are cleaning up all the weeds in my yard and make sure everything is done and in order.  They won't be able to finish it all today so they said they'll come out as soon as possible to get the rest of it done.

It would take about 3 weeks for them to even provide an estimate.

When Giroud came out to give us an estimate for removing several dead trees and shrubs,  some of which they will be cutting down later this summer, they told us that some of our other shrubbery could probably be salvaged, and recommended a deep root fertilizing treatment.  Although this may have been a ploy to give them more money, it is certainly cheaper than having them removed and having to plant new shrubbery.  Also, another tree service had told us that those same shrubs were dead and would need to be removed, so we appreciated hearing that they weren't completely dead and could likely flourish if treated.  Although I did have to follow up with one phone call when a couple weeks had passed and they still hadn't come out to do the treatment, they did then schedule me for the following week and came out when they said they would.  They were here about 30 minutes and appeared to do a thorough job.  Our shrubs are definitely looking better.  Giroud will be coming back out later this summer to remove several dead trees.  They also came down on the estimate for the tree removal after we received a lower estimate from a competitor.

They do good work and their price is reasonable.

It went excellent. They quickly cut the trees and had the branches shredded. There was no mess left behind. There was no cursing or undue shouting. The workers got along with each other. They worked around a neighbors fence without any issues or damage. They also had to work around a power line. The workers were polite and professional. The price was a bit on the high side but not horribly so.

 The only complaint would be the secretary when it's time to pay the bill. She had a bit of an attitude. It would helped if she showed some empathy to her customers instead to treating them like idiots. Having said that, the workers were awesome, exactly what you would expect from A+ workers. So as long as you can deal with the snarky front office receptionist and a moderate to high price, your fine.

All of our experiences have been excellent with Giroud.  The sales team is very professional and they take the time to explain possible options and costs.  We first used them a year ago because we were concerned about the structure of a rather large tree in our yard.  Other tree service providers said the tree should be cut down and could not be saved.  Giroud felt we could keep the tree by cabling some key limbs.  This option saved us thousands of dollars.  The team also trimmed out a number of other trees and removed a couple of others that were being smothered by taller trees.  All of the work was done professionally and they cleaned up all the debrie after they were finished.  The second time we used them was to clear out broken limbs and trees that were damaged by the recent ice storm.  When I called they explained their priorities were safety and damaged homes/cars and would get to us as soon as they could.  I told them there were not safety or damage concerns just clean up form limbs that had fallen in our and my neighbors yard.  Within two weeks they were on site and had everything taken care of in one day.  Again the crew was very professional and did a great job.

He was very punctual, very nice and very professional.  When he knew that I was getting a second estimate, he came in and dropped his price.  He quoted me $765 at first and then he came down to $585.  He did very well on the estimate.  He was very responsive.  The only snag is he wasn’t able to do work until July and the only problem is the trees are giving me more shade out-front than I care to have and it is tall, it is like eighty feet high.  He said he would need four weeks to get to it but I really need it attended to, which is why we went with the other company because they were available to get to us sooner.  I am getting some landscaping done and whatever I am, putting under the tree needs some sun coming through, which is only possible once the pruning is done.

We have been using Giroud for years to prune our trees and fertilize them. They always show up when scheduled or call in advance if there is a problem. Their prices are reasonable and sometimes the most competitive. They always clean up when they are finished. They usually end up doing extra work at no additional cost. We are very happy with them and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

I did have lawn and yard work done and I went with Giroud Tree & Lawn Care. It wasn't through a big deal. They did work in August maybe. It was really like reclaiming my property because I had a lot of ivy around my house. I had a lot of vegetation in the front, the back and everywhere. They actually uncovered a bricked oven in my back yard. That's how much vegetation I had around the house. Overall I would rate this company 'A' absolutely beyond shadow. I would absolutely use this company again in the future.

They're great. They were very friendly and nice. They do what they say they're going to do and do a really good job. The results are very good.

The gentleman who comes out to give estimates in our area is a pro. He discusses your concerns and shares his professional advice.
We waited a total of 4 weeks from estimate to the job being completed - which seems like a long time, but really wasn't, because, as we were wisely told, it was best to wait until all the snow had melted and the ground had dried out some. That way they could do a more complete cleanup and no branch segments would be left frozen into the turf.  They called us a night ahead so that we could be home if we wanted (we requested this) and they picked the perfect day to come out, where the ground was not too soggy and just before several days of rain were expected.  We were very happy with this scheduling.
A crew of 3 showed up exactly on time, the crew leader introduced everyone, and discussed concerns I had.  They were polite, professional, and willing to remove the branches taking the "long route" on our  property to prevent any erosion that might cause us surface water problems later.  They laid down ground mats from our back yard all the way to the street where their chipper machinery and trucks were so that the turf on our yard would be minimally disturbed.  The Rose of Sharon trimming that we asked for on the spot, they were fine with adding to the job for a very reasonable extra amount.  The crew was always polite when I went out several times to check on their progress and add my thoughts or ask questions.
The job took over 6 hours to complete.  They did a good throughout and a good job of cleaning up.   Although I think this company may run a little higher than some cost-wise, they come with all the right equipment and manpower to do an efficient job.  They're a nice and reliable company to do business with.  We've used them several times before.

Their prices are a little on the high side but it is very well worth what they do. They are superior in what they do because they send somebody out who analysis what the situation is and writes up a report, give the price and if people agree to it they come out. They do an excellent job of tree trimming, clean the place up and people would not even know that they were there in the first place. I recommend them whole heartedly and would highly recommend them. They are an expert in what they do and definitely go out of their way to clean. They are very pleasant to speak with and super professional. They were fairly priced. I could not have asked for a better company to do the work for me.

Their price was very competitive, if not a little bit better than the other people that I had used for an estimate. I appreciated the fact that they said we could probably save the tree rather than cut it down, which everybody else was talking about cutting down. They provide a lot of good information on their website just around things that need to get done on a quarterly basis. They interact very well.
