Because of all of the great reviews, I tried the salon.  First time, I got a cut and color by a female stylist.  I expressed that my hair was too blond and had some choppiness.  She put in more blond and did help even the hair.  The second time I went, she must have followed the original cut and put the choppiness back in - no color.  tried another girl for a touch up and got a cut by yet another stylist -- she was the best one - gave a nice cut and had some good ideas for color.  The next time, I tried a guy who was supposed to be the top colorist.  I again expressed that I did not like all of the blond in my hair.  He said he was going to do a soft ombre to fix it and make it more current.  He "painted" my hair.  I wound up with deep roots and blond hair == no soft ombre.  He told me to just come back for touch up next time.  I went back and he thought it looked washed out and suggested more highlights to fix the "root" problem.  I let him know that he put the "roots" in for a soft ombre look.  I left with more roots and deeper roots.  All of this cost a fortune.  The stylist are not friendly either.  I waited for about 15-20 mins each visit.  The girls at the front desk are very friendly and nice.  I would not go back.  I am going to an upscale salon downtown just to get it fixed.  Then to a local stylist.

This is the best place to get a haircut. They are the best because of the quality of their work and professionalism.

It has been a great experience. There is a relaxed atmosphere there. You go in and they get your hair done. They offer you whatever you need like coffee, water or soda. They have a whole line of stuff and I have never had a bad experience there. I usually get my grey hair covered up and everything. For haircut and hair color, they usually charge me about $200. That also includes blow dry and hair styling.

I love this place! Maryn gives me a beautiful cut every time. It's been years since I got so many compliments on my hair, and it looks good, even if I can only do the bare minimum (i.e. brush it!). I get semi-perm color too, and that looks really nice as well. I have also used them for some brow waxing. The spa services woman does a super job. Plus, it's just a fun and funky place to go. They have live jazz on Saturdays, and the stylists all seem to actually like their jobs. Thumbs up for Blue!
