RICK'S SAME DAY APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE

I called Rick as I found his company on Angie's List. He advertised that it was same day service. I called at 10. He arrived by 1.
Rick looked at my washer. He turned it on and said that he was familiar with the machine and that it had some very serious inherent problems that really could not be repaired. He said that he could repair it but it would be costly and would not really be useful for long.
I appreciated his honesty.
He recommended a different washer at a local dealer that he felt would best meet my needs.
I went to the store the following day. I cannot say enough about the machine and in a million years I would not ever have thought to buy this machine or go to this dealer. The machine is great and the store was wonderful.
Rick will be the person I call if and when another appliance breaks down.

Punctual, efficient, competent, courteous. An excellent experience.

I had called several companies, but Rick got back to me first. He was there the next day, on time, despite some bad weather.

I rated Rick's an F overall because Angie's List did not allow me to give them any other overall rating. Since they never called me back, I was not able to work with them or rate them in other categories. I don't feel it would be fair for me to rate them an F overall. I wanted to give them an overall rating of C to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Called Rick at 9P on Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The next day he was at my house by 9:30A. Diagnosed and then demonstrated the problem. Explained how the failing igniter produced the issue (oven failing to heat, why the oven would seem to turn on and off, why we might occasionally have a gas smell). I would definitely recommend Rick if you have issues with a large appliance. (while I hope none of the other appliances in my house break, I now know who to call.)

They came very quickly. They fixed the problem and gave us some advice how to make our machine run smoothly. He knew exactly what the problem was and told us how not to make that happen again. I appreciated that.

He is exactly what he says he is, "Same Day Service"! He is very prompt and professional. He does a great job at explaining what went wrong and what to do if there is a way to prevent it from happening again.

Dryer broke again about seven weeks later. Vendor did not make honest effort to communicate with me after I told him the Dryer broke again.

Rick promptly returned my call. He honestly advised me to buy a new air conditioner, rather than repair the noisy fan motor assembly in my 4 year old Sharp in-wall air conditioner, as the cost of the parts and repair would almost equal the cost of a new unit.

Rick returned my initial afternoon call that same evening and came as scheduled to check out the range. He needed an ignitor for the bad burner which he had to order and was to call to set up a return appointment to install the part when it arrived. I did have to call him in a week for status, and he came shortly thereafter. He had family medical problems and a funeral which extended his return visit. He was very thorough and cleaned up when repair completed. I don't know if pricing was fully competitive as I have had no recent experience in repair charges. The parts were worth about $50, and it took two visits to complete the repair.
