Mike provided the required services and exceeded my expectations. I'm a delighted customer and would encourage anyone that has a computer problem to call Mike Petro. I hate waiting in queue at MicroCenter or BestBuys. Life's too short. Use Mike.

Mike picked up he computer and quoted a price on how much it might cost to repair. He installed a new harddrive and was able to save all the information on the old and copy it to the new drive. The price he quoted was what he charged and he gave us the old drive and recommended on how to either store it or to destroy it. He was very professional and very knowlegable AND prompt. My wife was especially thrilled because Mike was able to save her iTunes!! We highly recommend Michael to anyone who may be experiencing problems with their computer.

Michael explained that though he worked primarily on PC's, he would do his best for me. We made an appointment, he came over promptly and he proceeded to restore my computer rapidly and efficiently. And--he's also a really nice guy. The total cost of $99. was exceptionally reasonable and I strongly recommend him to anybody in need of computer help!

Mike Petro was fantastic! He came to my house, looked at my computer, decided it needed to have diagnostic tests run, and took it to repair. He quoted prices before beginning the work. He replaced my defective hard drive and reinstalled all my programs and files. He returned it shortly, hooked it back up, and checked everything to make sure it was working. He reinstalled the printer program to fix a glitch and spent time helping me fix an outdated e-mail program that I enjoy using. He set me up with a better, cheaper anitvirus program. He turned off unnecessary programs and made it run much faster. He patiently answered all my computer illiterate questions in a way that I could understand and gave me advice on how to back up my hard drive and what type of printer would suit my future needs. He was completely professional. I highly recommend Mike Petro.

Over the weekend, my ancient HP PC was seized with a virus that wouldn?t let me access anything ? on- or off-line. I called Michael who responded on Monday, arrived to pick up my computer on Tuesday. I also had an older than ancient laptop which I asked Mike to wipe clean so that I could donate it. He returned with both computers on Friday: the PC was virus free and equipped with a 60 trial version of Norton which he recommended. As requested, the laptop was wiped clean?several times with a very powerful program. Michael was very professional and very accommodating. I am very glad to have found him on Angie?s List and in my neighborhood. His service is excellent and very reasonably priced.

I contacted Mike to repair my existing computer and load files on new computer,he looked at the old unit and instantly saw a leaking capacitor on the main board and declined working on it knowing more problems may exist and determining it not to be worth the expense. He removed the drive and loaded the files in a new computer instantly. He flawlessly and quickly transferred all files with ease. I am thrilled to have discovered him and his talent.

He came & checked out my PC but to do a thorough job he had to take it home with him. He had it back the following morning

If I could rate higher than an "A", I would. Mike at Petro did a fantastic job!! This job was a little more complicated because I live in Minneapolis, but my mother and step-father live in Wynewood, PA. They have been having problems with their computers for a while. Among other things, she had no back-up system and her computer was running very slowly. Usually, I can help her over the phone, but this time, she really needed to have someone visit her. Not knowing anyone in the area, I signed up for Angie's List in the Philly area and found Petro. I called and talked to Mike, the owner. He sounded good over the phone, so got him in contact with my mother. Once my mother and step-father felt comfortable with Mike they made arrangements for him to visit. He went the next day to their condo. After he left I got the full report from my mother. They were absolutely thrilled with Mike and the work he did! They said he was fast, courteous, prompt and, most importantly, knew what he was doing. In a little over an hour, he was done. The best part was that he charged them only $80!! Believe me, that's incredibly reasonable. As a matter of fact...that's really cheap!!! In addition to the work he did during this visit, my mother has two new computers arriving in about a week. Mike is going back the their condo to do the complete setup, including the transferring of data from their current machines, setting-up the printers, backup systems...the whole thing! My mother told me that she doesn't need me anymore to help with her computer problems. She said I was now obsolete! :-) That was music to my ears! It's been tough trying to help long distance. I now know if she needs computer work done that there's someone close by. That makes me feel great! Thanks Mike!!!

All went well and he have recommended Mr. Petro to friends and colleagues.

It went quite well, my computer is now working great. He solved my computer problems and advised me on a better anti virus program that I could use. I certainly will be using him for my computer problems again.

A high end audio system installer set up a wireless bridge connection for a new system. Somehow the Linksys router was reprogrammed and our computers no longer interfaced with the wireless. I called Mike on a Friday and he came out on the following Monday. It was not an emergency as we have a aircard for backup. He immediately identified the problem. Configured the wireless system, 3 computers and the audio bridge so they all would work correctly. He did the job in under and hour and spoke several times to the audio installer to make sure the system would work correctly for all components. He did a great job; was polite and professional; and made sure I had all the information and passwords to pass along for future reference. Very thorough and reasonably priced. He also took the time to explain to me what was going in in terms I could understand.

Again the experience was great!..We have had 5 dvd's and vcr's not working because we could not cope, Mr Petro arrived almost immediately and an hour later we were back in business and he did not make me feel like an idiot

The whole process was done very quickly - in about 45 minutes. required very little extra information from me .

I am new to Angie's list, and this is my first experience with it. I hope going forward that they all go this well. I called Mike in the evening and we set up a time to pick up the computer the next day. He arrived the next day on time and we talked about what needed to be done and extra things I wanted done. I use the computer alot, but am technically challanged. He walked me through the process and clearly explained what he would do, what that would do for my computer, and how much it would cost. He left with the computer, and said he would be back at about the same time the next day. He returned the computer in less than 24 hrs, and it is working better and faster than when it was new. Aside from fixing the computer, he took the time to show me some things on the computer that I never really understood. The standard fix charge was $99, the $80 was for upgraded memory and 1 yr antivirus. The short of it is, If you have computer problems, this is the man to see.

Emailed Mike Petro on a weekend night to ask about service; he replied within hours. Explained cost, process in email. Picked up the computer at my house the next day -- ON TIME. Provided the service within 24 hrs and returned it the next day. So prompt. Set the computer up -- problem when he reconnected the computer -- printer was not responding to computer. He spent 20+ minutes problem solving -- updated a printer issue with the computer. Very nice, professional man.

My son called the company and explained that his laptop fan was making odd noises and that it was overheating because of it. Michael ordered a new fan after a brief discussion over the phone that since it was apparent that it needed to be replaced. He said he would call back when the part was in. Michael called back within a week and made arrangements to pick up the laptop from my home. He called back the next day and brought the repaired laptop back along with the original part that was replaced. It is working fine now.

He worked as you hoped he might to do the job. He was willing also to answer any questions I asked him .

It went very well.I was lucky enough to know about Mike before Angies List did.

I called Mr Petro and he came in an hour to pick it up, explaining the it takes several hours to clean, and he could do it at home. He brought it back in 24 hours unvirused and protected, for only $99. We, again, are extremely happy with Mr. Petro.

MIke was on time, professional, and knew what he was doing from the start. We told him our issues, and he immediately went to work. As a result all computers are now able to get on line and they are faster than before. Mike discussed with us the various security systems (McAFee vs Norton) and helped us be proactive with keeping our computers fast. He did a great job, was pleasant, and quite knowledgeable.

I bought Peachtree First Accounting and could not get the program to finish loading after installation and setup. After two hours on the phone with Sage support, they couldn't get it to work either but thought it had something to do with my firewall. While Petro Computer also couldn't figure out the issue, my computer was cleaned up and now runs much more smoothly and quickly. I returned Peachtree.

He was able to repair the Sony and it continues to work fine. The Gateway's hard drive was completely "fried." He was not able to retrieve any information from it. He did recommend other service providers who might be able to retrieve the information on the Gateway's hard drive. However, those services are quite expensive and we choose not to pursue the data retrieval. He did not charge for the Gatway and his fee for the Sony was very reasonable. We are very please and satisfied with the level of service, his promptness and price. Will use him again when or if the need arises.

We purchased a new computer (iMac) and wanted to network it with our old PC. We had been having problems with internet connectivity and had spent a lot of time on the phone with tech support. We received conflicting information about compatibility with a recently purchased router and modem so we were very reluctant to attempt to do anything more on our own. It was not something we had to have done right away so when I called Mike, I told him he could get to his at his convenience. He came out the same week and even apologized for not getting out sooner. He had everything set up and running in no time. He is amazing! Mike is very personable, professional and knowledgeable. He even took the time to set up our printer and shared a lot of useful information with us. We were even more amazed with what he charged us...very reasonable!!!! Since Mike was out, we had another internet connectivity problem. We intially called our ISP provider tech support but ended up getting caught in the automated telephone support loop. Getting frustrated and not wanting to spend hours on the phone again, I called and left a message for Mike. He called right back and suggested what we needed to do to correct the problem.It still required us to call our ISP tech support but at least we knew what the problem was and were able to expedite rectifying the problem. I would definitely recommend Mike to anyone needing assistance with computer issues! He's the best.
