It was good. I would recommend them. They were very careful.

I got them off of Angie’s List.  I hadn’t subscribed to Angie’s List at that point, but I managed to use them because they had good reviews.  It’s a very useful service though.  They were really good.  They were on time.  They were professional.  They worked when it was 100 degrees.  I wasn’t terribly organized with the move and I didn’t have everything packed and they finished packing things up for me.  I probably had more than they thought because they thought that I had an apartment, but it wasn’t an apartment and it was a house.  They were very nice and very friendly.  I also liked the fact that somebody from the movers had called asking if I wanted an extra person.  I originally had 3 men scheduled and I decided to go ahead with the extra person.  I was glad that they asked me again because I had realized that I had a lot more stuff that still needed some attention.  I thought that was really good.  They were great and competitively priced.  They didn’t break anything.  I didn’t have any problems with them moving me.  The issue was that I had a lot of stuff.  I have no complaints.  They charged by the hour as I prefer to pay by the hour because I could see how hard they were working and when I asked them to do extra things I knew it was going to cost me more, but it was honestly worth it.  The distance was short, but it was $1250 for moving the entire household.  I would use them again in the future if need be.                        

The crew of 4 showed up on time and was able to load all of our stuff from a 2 BR townhouse onto the truck in about an hour! The original plan was to then proceed to a storage locker and load its contents onto the truck as well.  However, after loading the contents of the townhouse it was obvious that there would not be enough space to also accommodate the storage locker. We thus decided to unload at the house and then load up at the storage locker. Overall the process took about 8 hours.

My wife and I were very satisfied with the crew and their work. Would definitely recommend to others.

Day 1 the packing team arrived on time and got right to work. They were generally efficient in their packing but I was shocked and offended by their lack of professionalism. My husband and I were in the next room over from them and they were commenting (loudly) to each other things like "Wow you should have seen the basement when I got here- it was a disaster!" and other observations about our home and us.  Midway through the day, one of the packers informed me that it was highly unlikely that they would be able to finish the job that day because we have "so much stuff" and then headed out for a lunch break. In a panic, I spent the next hour packing as much as I could myself. Upon return from their lunch break, they continued to pack and updated me that they would finish with time to spare (gosh thanks!).  The biggest shock came at the end of the day when the team lead had me sign off on the invoice and then yelled at me because he felt that he should have received snacks, drinks, lunch and tips throughout the day.  I was pretty upset and called the owner to ensure that this disgruntled employee would not be back at my home the next day.
Day 2 was the move itself and that went very smoothly. B and K sent 6 men to ensure that the job would be completed in a timely manner and it was indeed. The team leads were professional and skilled movers and did a great job trying to ensure that nothing was damaged on either end of the move.  The negative was that some of the other team members were not paying attention to my directives and a couple dozen boxes ended up in the wrong room...on the wrong floor, which caused us a great deal of hassle later. Another problem we discovered post-move was that they had re-assembled our baby's crib and our son's twin bed very poorly and in such a way that it would have been dangerous for them to sleep in.  I was disappointed that no one from B and K called to follow up given the problems on Day 1 and so hopefully they will read this review.

The crew of 4 men and a truck arrived at 9 and worked as directed until the job was finished 10 hours later.

They arrived at time they stated. They worked hard and were efficient movers. I was very impressed with their service and would highly recommend them.

We started at 9AM, and did not finish until around 7 PM, using a 3-man moving crew.  We had two homes moving into one, so we had one pickup / dropoff, then a second pickup dropoff, as there was too much furniture to fit it in one trip.   The bottom line - the crew was professional, was very careful navigating a staircase we have in our new place and some narrow doorways.  They did not leave a scratch on any walls or floors or staircase banister.  

It was a long day, given the logistics of the move and the amount of furniture we had to move.  Through it all the crew was upbeat and professional, and I enjoyed chatting with the guys as we went through the day.  I would definitely use B&K again. 

BK was scheduled for 1pm but finished their morning job early and had to start my move or release the crew for the day.  While the original schedule left me free to manage openning both houses and responding to any other issues, I had a conflict until about 11:30am.  BK worked hard to co-ordinate with me by phone and we successfully managed to start the job late morning around 11:15am.  The job went quickly and they moved the piece in short order. 

Be aware in moving that there are many factors out of control of the movers and the client.  Keep your time open and be flexible as well as patient.

The crew was excellent--cheerful, helpful, and they worked HARD. It ended up being a 100 degrees on the day of the move, and they still managed to do everything. Brian was helpful with the quote for services as well. He also called the night before to let me know that the heat may affect the move a bit, and asked if I wanted to upgrade to 4 movers. I considerd, and found that to be good idea--i did! and boy was I glad, since the heat had us all fustered. In any case, this was the smoothest move--in terms of actual moving--I've ever done!

We found them from Angie's list. They were great. They charged $105 per hour for three guys. Everything was great. They were very courteous. They didn't damage anything. They put everything back together like their own house. It was a good experience.

John and his team did an amazing job. It was a very hot and humid day even early in the morning. They worked very quickly and did a great job maneuvering the furniture around my small stair cases. They were very professional and extremely fast disassembling my furniture and moving it. 

We had an estimate before we moved. We were counseled by them on how to prepare. We talked to them about what was the best arrangement in terms of men per time because one can have 2 men, 3 men, 4 men depending on what they are moving and how much time they want to spend on it. One of those mathematical things and what works best for them. We went for 4 men and that was a higher hourly rate. They worked so well, having them working here in concerts, one to disassemble, a couple to carry and one to manage everybody. They did it really fast. I had prepared the move in advance by boxing everything up myself and labeling things according to where they went. I had the rooms in the house we were going to marked, bedroom 1, bedroom 2, etc so that they would know where to put the boxes. It just really went so fast, I could hardly believe it. They disassembled a number of things like tables, various pieces of furniture that needed it and then everything arrived. I had damaged one piece. It was a kind of thing that they don't guarantee so if one has particle board furniture that's really cheap, they won't necessarily guarantee that it will survive being juggled in the move. In deed, my piece of particle board got a little smashed, but everything else came so beautifully. I didn't have any scratches or I didn't lose anything. They made sure I was happy with way things worked. If I wanted something moved across the room in terms of a piece of furniture because it didn't fit quite the way I thought it would. They moved it for me and they were pleasant. They were very nice. I would hire them again in a minute. They do move pianos and I did have one, but it was a piano that I was giving to a friend. It was given before the movers had to deal with it which was a good thing. They were very comparable with other companies in terms of price. They weren't at the basement level pricing, but they were very comparable with any other reputable company. They were perfectly fine. It was a 3 bedroom family house move and I thought it was really quite reasonably priced. It was actually drizzling when we arrived and they covered everything before they carried in. They took some extra time to do that. They made sure everything was protected. They got wet, but the furniture was dry. I was pleased with their price. They were responsive in terms of both when I called them and their ability to make a schedule to suit our hours and in the promptness with which they showed up and alacrity with which they worked. They were extremely responsive. They were right on time. I was amazed at how good this experience was. They did what they said they would do. I started to use Angie's List providers and I read the reviews and look at the ratings and so on. I'm consistently pleased with the results that I'm getting. It's when I don't hire someone from Angie's List that I get into a mess. I've got a mess right now with a company that I hired because our new neighbors belonged to their family. I've got a kitchen and a bath on their way and they've been on their way for 10 or 11 weeks. Any company that I've been hiring through Angie' List, I've been really pleased with.

This is was not the first time I had used movers, but this was my absolute best experience. The people were timely, courteous, and professional. I did feel anxious at the beginning of the move, however the supervisor calmed me and explained everything then I exhaled. This is the moving company to use.

We were scheduled for December 1st. However, on the morning of the 1st, Mr. Link called to say that due to the weather, they would not be coming out. They did arrive promptly on the 2nd and completed the move.

This wasn't the easiest move, but John and his crew were patient and professional. Furnishings were being directed both to a storage facility and to a condo, but everything arrived safely and they took extra precautions with all of my things. The storage facility required the use of an elevator and then a hike down a long hallway to the unit itself. The majority of my household goods were being stored, so this process was long and involved. I couldn't be more pleased with their work.

Let me start by saying that it was the HOTTEST day of the whole summer, heat index of 110. We booked them last minute (on a wednesday for that saturday) The guys showed up to our apartment right on time about 9:00 am. They proceeded to empty our entire 2 bedroom 2nd floor apartment and basement, load the truck, travel to the new house, unload the truck and put everything where it needed to go in 4 hours 15 minutes! The guys were nice, professional, careful with our belongings and very understanding of our poor last minute packing. There was not 1 ding on a piece of furniture, not even a scratch on the wall! They work their behinds off in horrible heat. Really, Really WONDERFUL!!

Scheduled within a few days. 4 men arrived on time, all mature and knowledgeable about moving and packing. This job required a lot of packing of special items. First day was all packing and loading of the truck, Day 2, the same crew requested to be put on my job. They finished packing.loading and unloading into storage by day's end. Little or no supervision required by me. Really nice guys who wanted to work right through and get the job done. I was blessed to find Bob and his crew. We will be using them again soon for another move. Would recommend Charlie and his crew to do anything!

John, Ed, and Steve arrived on time and cleared out my place in what seemed like record time, working nonstop through scorching hot temperatures. My hat's off to these men for working in such beastly weather without complaint and without lagging. Always courteous, they were careful, moving heavy, bulky furniture into a newly renovated, freshly painted home and up a flight of stairs without damaging anything--the furniture or the walls. Their professionalism and expertise were evident at every turn, making suggestions that streamlined planning and eased the distribution of my belongings at my new home. Moving can, by nature, be highly stressful. I'll always be grateful to John, Ed, and Steve for taking such good care, not only of my belongings, but also of my psyche. I was allowed to enjoy absolute faith in their work, which considerably eased my mind during the move and my unpacking once they left. To finish a major move with such peace of mind is truly priceless. Thank you, Robert Link of B & K Moving for sending me three angels!

We had four guys for our move. They showed up on time and worked hard all day. I felt bad for the guys because it was so hot out, but they were fun to work with and did a great job for us. I never heard them complain once about the heat. They thought outside of the box when they were faced with challenges getting large furniture in, and treated us and our property with respect. I'd highly recommend them and would hire them again.

I'm former military and have moved about 23 times, but these guys are about the best moves I've ever had. They're pros and they know just what to do. They worked quickly and tirelessly on a 90-degree day, didn't break or chip a thing, and were friendly besides. They also helped me out when a sofa would simply NOT fit through a narrow hallway and into the new living room. After 15 minutes of twisting it every which way, Charlie suggested removing the back legs (which were removable) and sawing off the other two in front. It was either that or leave a beautiful leather sofa on the curb (and then I'd have had to go buy another). I got a saw, he accomplished the job beautifully, and I soon had a sofa in my living room. (Whew!) Doesn't look bad, either. He also described how it could later be fixed, if I wished to have that done. Ed, Charlie and (I forget that last man's name, I'm sorry!), you did a bang-up job, and I thank you for it.

We could not be happier with B&K. Bob assesed our driveway situation before the move and recommended renting two smaller U-Hauls instead of using a large truck which would not have worked for the driveway. Great to know this before the move date! The guys who came and packed our house as well as the additonal guys who came and moved us were very professional, polite, and treated our stuff and our new house with great care. These guys worked!!! They took very few breaks and didn't stop for a very short lunch break until 1:30pm! They worked with us to make sure everything was in place and in good shape and they were done on-time (according to estimate). My husband and I were very impressed. I am 7 months pregnant and my husband is just finishing up grad school, and B&K movers made a potentially very stressful moving situtation easy and fast. Thanks!

I had a week-old baby at the time, and they were extremely friendly and very helpful. They were on time, professional and very fast. They were perfect with our belongings. They were fantastic - they did a good job. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future, if necessary.

They are polite and get work done well.

We were extremely pleased. The crew arrived on time, worked at a high pace all day long, and handled a complex move very helpfully. They were great about getting some large pieces up an awkward staircase, putting heavy items into an attic, and generally doing all we asked of them. I've moved a number of times and had a wide range of experiences with movers -- this was one of the best, and I would recommend them very highly.
