we closed on our construction loan in may of 2016, broke ground July 2016 (delays because permits were not filed for correctly or timely), and we are still not closed on the hosue as of 04/18/2017. Mistakes occurred from the date of close with the permit process, then the day of the dig it was discovered the lot wasn't not properly prepped resulting in covering over the construction driveway that we paid over $2500 for. They did not accurately determine if we needed a sump pump. We were told no at our lot inspection but they somehow installed one. We argued this and finally the construction manager went back out to check again. He said we did not have enough fall for natural drains. We had 2 other people check and were told we had plenty. So once again Wayne homes did it again and agreed but still arguing to put in French drains. The pipes would end up close to the ditch at the bottom of our lot. It would have to back up over 3' to ever back up into our hosue. We have more of a chance of the sump failing. They installed wrong color shingles on roof. We had issues with windows that they didn't take care of right away when brought to their attention resulting in ripping them out after stone, siding, drywall, trim was up. They completely missed windows that by code needed to be tempered glass. Drywall and framing horrendous. Drywall was all patched after whole house almost complete custom dust to get on everything. They did not cover anytning including kitchen appliances. Scratched our almost $1000 cooktop. Carpeting installed 4 months ago and has dried up paint on it, major amounts of dust that you can see just by rubbing your hands across, stones, mud, dirt. They are refusing to replace the carpeting. They messed up the entire kitchen cabinet order more than once. Ordered wrong finish. Didn't order extra upgrades. Lied about the order. Carried pipes from sump into sewer which is illegal. Freaking all over main floor but they won't fix it. Countertops in kitchen do not sit flush where they are cut and had to be reordered. One sink was installed crooked and the faucets were reversed. The faucet for the island sink was the wrong size and had to be reordered all together. Horrific experience. Every exterior door had to be fixed because framers did awful job. Extremely incompetent and negligent people.
