They actually sent us a post card advising the tune-up service was due  AND called us to schedule the fall service (previous provider had to be bugged, and usually repeatedly re-scheduled because an 'emergency' had occurred).  Their HVAC technician showed up on time and did a thorough tune-up; automatically replaced several parts that were suspect and could have caused a future issue; certified the in-home tank with a 10 year warranty certificate; and changed the humidifier filter.   All this work done over a 2+ hour period under the service contract at no additional charge.  When the HVAC technician left it was like he was never here - the area was clean and neat.

A few months ago, I noticed the basement was starting to smell like heating oil and there was a little puddle of oil on the floor next to the furnace. I called Young's Petroleum, the company that delivers our oil. They came out and tried to fix the leak, but since the shutoff valves for our oil tanks weren't working, every time they tried to take the pipe apart to fix the leak, oil would shoot everywhere. The first service guy had no idea what to do, so they sent a supervisor out. Eventually, we ended up having them come and pump out our oil tanks, replace both shutoff valves, fix the leak and pump the oil back in. Once they figured out what to do, they did a great job fixing it and gave us a much better price than our usual HVAC guy. (I suppose because they are more used to repairing oil tanks, or maybe because they've already made so much money selling us oil that they can offer cheaper labor rates.) I would definitely use them again, but hopefully I won't have to!
