I received a quote from Green Stone Energy for improving insulation, and part of their bid was for improving the exterior soffit vents for the roofing. The roofing portion of the bid was handled by Triple Pine Roofing.
I checked around with various roofers to be sure I was getting a good deal, and was pleasantly surprised that Triple Pine came in extremely competitive (some of the other contractors were charging x3 as much for the same job).
What helped me decide to use both Green Stone and Triple Pine is that they work well together for the job - they coordinated which areas of the house needed soffit work done, and which areas did not.
Mike (not the owner, but the person who did the work) from Triple Pine worked hard in the hot summer heat, and I was amazed at how much he accomplished in one day. It was definitely not a DIY project, and if it was, it would have taken me a week to do the same quality of work.
Mike (the owner) also checked that the work was done to high standards, and what attracted my attention was that he fixed something with the gutter that was broken before they began work. He didn't NEED to fix it, but he went ahead and fixed it, and I appreciate it.
Bottom line - Triple Pine Roofing did a great job at a great price, but, most importantly, they had pride in their work.
