Liberty did an amazing job pruning my 40+ foot oak tree. I would highly recommend them!

Great experience. From the moment I called, they were friendly and responsive. Mike called me back right away & came out the next day for an estimate. He was punctual and professional. The estimate was immediate and in-writing and lower than I expected. It was a no-brainer. We scheduled for a few weeks later and he came with his crew as planned. He remembered the specific details of our job and set his guy to work. I never knew they were there as they cleaned up and left no trace. The trees were gone, trunks cut close to the ground and surrounding shrubbery was trimmed and removed. I will definitely recommend them!

The man who came out was pleasant, seemed to know what he was talking about and gave me an estimate for $2500 worth of tree trimming etc. I thought the price was fair but the owner of the property decided he wasn't ready to spend that kind of money. So we went with the stump grinding which took forever to be done. I called a couple of times to find out when they were coming. I also asked that they call ahead of time so I could tell the elderly owners that they would be on the property and of course that didn't happen. I am not sure how deep the grinding was done and that we will be able to plant next spring. We had hoped to plant this fall but it was too late by the time the work was completed. It left me feeling that Liberty was unreliable.

Everything was done on point, but I received a bill for $200 when the special was for $99 for 300 of tree work. I am in the processing of working with the company to find out about this bill.

They contact me back twice and he was suppose to come out and give me an estimate. I did voice to him that I did not want it done until the spring. I will give him the benefit of the doubt but he has yet to come out and give me an estimate.

I liked the way they are all very nice and are willing to do what I would like them to do. They are very responsive and very good at what they do.

They dug a larger hole. They filled the hole with dirt and grass seed. The grass looks great now. They were very friendly and professional. John was great, he has great people skills. We would use them again.

The quote was for around $450. They were fine but we didn't use them. They were good with punctuality and professionalism.

It was a Big Deal that I purchased. They came out for the estimate and I was at work when they did the work. I came home one day and I noticed that the trees were not touching the roof. I told them to do what they could do for the price of the Big Deal and that I didn’t want to go over. I would recommend them and I think I am going to use them for my lawn service. I think I am actually going to call them again to do some pruning. They did a very good job.

I like the job that they did. I thought I was supposed to get some flowers, but I did not. I am calling about that. I did like the service though. I would recommend them. They do a fabulous clean up job.

He came out and gave us a estimate for $1000.00 thru the mail (he was suppose to call for the estimate). The estimate was suppose to be for just the trimming of one tree in our back yard and he had prices for additional trees in the front. This Big Deal was a little misleading for the price of the service. I was under the impression that he was going to do the work of $200 for $99 and he was trying to charge alot more. I told him that's all I wanted and he tried to get more from us. I did not ask for a estimate, but rather come do the work worth $200 of tree service.

After my the previous lawn service closed shop, I found Liberty Tree and Lawn Service via Angie's List at the end of August. One of the owners, Dax, came by my home to give me an estimate regarding the lawn cutting of my property. He was on time and very professional. I also wanted my bushes trimmed but he recommended that I wait a little before having that work done and just quoted the lawn cutting fee. I really like that this company has an office and that I am not just calling a someone's cell phone where I may/may not get a response. I also love the quality of the work. My lawn looks great and the edging is meticulous. They also do a great job keeping my English Ivy at bay. Almost 2 months later, I am still satisfied with their work and am having them over today to talk about the end-of-the-season bush/tree pruning. Since I just noticed the Angie's Big Deal coupon for this company, I am hoping to put that offer to good use!

I emailed the company on October 6 and received a reply the next day; within a day or two of the call, Mike Duffy came by and surveyed what needed to be done and called with an estimate. He explained that the two trees overhanging the house would be cut back 3-5 feet from the house; he explained they would be as aggressive as possible without killing the trees (the trees were on a property next to my house). He said he would put in a work order and it was possible the work would be done within a week or two. True to his word, the crew showed up within two weeks on a Saturday morning and set about the job at hand. The crew was professional and courteous. Shortly, after their arrival Mike showed up to oversee the work and to lend a hand. Mike again explained how the trimming would be done and that the trees would not need trimming for another five years or so. The workers took care not to bring down wires attached to the house and to protect cars parked nearby. After the trimming work was done, the workers did a good job of cleaning up the debris. I had an overall wonderful experience with this company. The owner Mike Duffy was professional and showed that he is interested in doing business. I would not hesitate to call on this company again.

They should have in their Big Deal that they need to be out for a half day for $800.00. I only needed a small plum tree prunned and they said they would only come out for at least a half of day. All the exclusions should be submitted within the big deal.

I called many companies for estimates on some regrading and pruning work we needed. John was extremely responsive and creative. He took a lot of time to understand what type of garden we wanted to install to attempt to mediate pooling water in our yard. We also needed a thorough pruning and clean-up, and a small tree removed. A three-person team did the work quickly and thoroughly. Sean, the leader of the crew, was very freindly. My husband came home and was amazed by what a great job they did. My neighbor asked for their card. They went around our entire property and touched everything, even things we hadn't specifically put in the contract. I felt they cared about the overall presentation of the yard, and were willing to invest extra energy. We will have them back soon to do some major tree work--the rate is $1600 per day, or $800 per half day. We needed our lawn aerated but we were trying to stay within a budget, so we did not have that service done. John was very understanding that we were working within a budget, and suggested many alternatives to control the price of the project. It's nice to find a company so easy to work with.

They came out, but I found them to be a little expensive for what I wanted to have done. It was going to be $2000 for what I needed to have done. I bought the deal and I had to use it. I am going to have them do a small job that doesn’t really require a tree surgeon because they are so expensive. I didn’t know how much that would cover and it was about $250 for an hour of their time. So, I was getting less than an hour of time, which I didn’t know when I bought the deal. I have a general idea and I know that tree work is expensive, but it would have been helpful to know that an hour of time is $250. The big deal was for $200 and it was less than an hour’s worth of work. Some of them do say how much you are going to get, but the guy from Liberty Tree didn’t do that. He was very nice and came when he said he was going to. The only problem I have is their price. I am going to have them come because I bought the coupon. I would use it on something else other than what I had intended to use it for. I would use them on a smaller job. I just found them to be a little pricey. I think they are probably very good, but I don’t think I would need that level of expertise.

They did a good job. It seems everything looks pretty good. They were very nice. The only question I had was I did get a second opinion on the price, and thought it was really comparable, but the other person I checked with said they can do the work in half a day and liberty people said they definitely need a full day. I don't think that they actually put the full day in; so I felt that I should have gone with the half day, it would have been a lot cheaper; but I am not sure 100% sure about that as it was the only reservation about them. They seemed really nice and reasonable. When I saw they were trying to fill up some time, I was wondering if they really overcharged me for the amount of time they actually needed. I am not sure about that, but that is the question I have. Other than that, I have no complaints about them and they were nice. I was not 100% sure, if they needed so much time as they said. They did a nice job on the tree. They did a good job. I got a $100 off on a big deal. They did say they would put me out on payment plan with no finance charges, so that was nice. The other person I spoke to said he would charge me $900 for half a day. They were pleasant and they were very nice. The quality of work was good. The price and time was the only issue I have. He said he would come at a certain time, but he actually showed up early. I think he forgot the time, but he was trying to get the work done earlier during the weekend. He was trying to run at his convenience.

Overall, I was very pleased. The trick was finding someone who would cut the grass. It is quite easy to find a landscaper, who will charge hundreds or thousands of dollars to do pretty much anything you want to your yard. What I needed was someone who could also maintain the lawn with weekly cutting and edging. Most companies that claim to perform lawn service didn't want to do a $25 job. Liberty was interested. My first phone call was returned within 48 hours, and we made an appointment to inspect my property. I received a written quote within a day or two of the inspection. The arborist listened carefully, and made appropriate suggestions, without trying to up-sell. It was clear that this contractor wanted to do the job that I wanted, and not the job that he wanted. The landscaping went just fine, (promptly, neatly, on budget), but the grass cutters left out a small section for many weeks. If there are any issues with the grass cutting, Liberty encourages you to call and complain, so that they can get it right the next time - so far so good. Yet my phone calls are never returned. If you are lucky enough to catch someone in the office, they will talk to you - but you have to place repeated calls and be a pest if you want to hear from a manager. After three or four weeks of minor omissions, they did get the grass cutting right. The biggest problem was on 8/26, when they didn't cut the grass at all! After two phone calls, I did get through to someone who could investigate and get back to me (but she did not call me back). On my third phone call, she told me that the lawn had been cut, because it had been marked cut on the day's work sheet. This was a frustrating call for me. The grass was up to mid-shin, but she kept telling me "That the sheet says "cut" and so therefore my lawn was cut". I declined to argue further and asked to have a manager call me back. When the manager did call the next day, everything was straightened out quickly. So, if you have the patience to keep calling, you can get good grass service too. Overall, I would hire them again. The grass is cut properly, and the price is right.

Nothing specifically stands out. The guy came out when he said he would and I would consider using them again in the future.

I think their sales guy John is the most honest person I have ever met. It’s not uncommon for him to come over and look at my plants, just to make sure they were doing fine. I think every single person in the team were the best I had. The job turned out to be beautiful. I’m very happy with this lawn cutting service. I’m very happy with everything about them.

This has been a great experience since the estimate with John. He gave a very fair price and broke the estimate down into pieces that I understood and could manage. He also helped me thinking through what parts I should do first and what, in his opinion, could and couldn't be done. The work came out great and now he is working on the rest of the property for me.

John and his crew were amazing - estimate was below 4 others and included more services - John came back to check work and to re-seed areas that were not growing. Did a few "little extras" that were not in the contract - offered many suggestions and took his time when he came to survey the property for the estimate - highly recommend him! The job went smoothly with the crew arriving promptly and working through the day. They even came back the following day to clean up a little more. They did good work-even pruning some tree branches back that wasn't on the original proposal. In all, a pleasant experience.

They could not have improved on anything. They were fabulous. They were professional and prompt. I was impressed with their punctuality and the niceness of the crew. You could actually talk to them . They were really nice. Their work was great. They did exactly what I asked them to do.
