Liberty Tree & Landscape Management

Everything went fine. The well mannered staff was considerate of the occupants living up in the tree (smile). They removed the debris from the premise. No complaints!

I was very impressed with their work. My landscaped looks great. They had a lot of weeds to pull and remove. Then Dax asked what types of flowers I would like and offered suggestions since the only thing I wanted was a Lilac tree. They came back and planted and mulched.

We purchased a coupon, received a call (i expected to have to call) and a rep came out. He specified work that could be done for the coupon price. Afterward we talked about additional items on a pick and choose basis. we agrred on work scope and date. Liberty was here a little earlier than scheduled but set up and waited. Work was done to their specs, which were better than mine - the way I wanted a tree trimmed was not in the best interest of that tree. Cleanup was complete.

Mike calls on Monday, Aug 6, at 8:20 AM, asking if he could come by to look at the yard. I was not even in Philadelphia at that time and reminded him that we had a Wednesday, 3PM meeting scheduled. On Wendesday, he called to see me on the spur of the moment, at 10:30 AM. I was no where near my property, again mentioning our 3 PM appointment. He said that was fine and he would meet with me then. At 2:30 PM, I was not at the house yet, he called and said he had looked at the yard from the vacant lot next to it. My yard is about 15' x 45'. Mike offered these estimates: $1,600 to cut the weed, 2 sprayings for $200 each; One month later a layer of top soil for $1,000 and a layer of sod for $1,000. I did not get the impression he wanted the job. Fortunately, a few days later I found someone else, an excellent professional landscaper, who wanted $500.00 for cutting and collecting the weed, and for 2 spraying, instead of $2,000!

They have how given me a price of $400 and is ignoring the Big Deal that I purchased.

I purchased a Big Deal for $400 worth of tree service for $199. After they completed the work, they billed me for an additional $750.00 without informing me ahead of time that it would be this much extra money. The estimate did not include the Big Deal that I had purchased and they overcharged me. I should only owe them $350.00.

I found them through Angie's list. John was very friendly, knowledgeable and was down to earth person. He was honest and made me feel comfortable. They cleaned up after the work and did a good job. I had purchased a Big Deal from Angie's list and I got a great deal from this company. I could actually ask for a refund.

Their estimate was a third more than the company we chose. They never even called back to try to close the deal. They gave us many options over and above the removal. Too agressive, too pricey and not very responsive.

These guys are good and very professional. From the initial review of the proposed work to the completed job, I experienced only courtesy, honest opinions, and high level of competency. The two man work crew knew their business and went about it diligently. They were great and when they were finished, they pointed out a couple of trees that may develop into problems in the future. I never would have been aware of them without the crew pointing them out. I could go on about the job they did. Suffice to say I was thoroughly satisfied with the entire experience and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs tree work done.

The job was fairly priced, but the work is just OK.

We had difficulty in scheduling. They were so supposed to come but arborist was on vacation. Then came while I was on vacation without notifying me. Also, I used an Angie's list coupon which I purchased before getting quote from vendor (bad idea). The quoted price was $200 more than other quotes so I saved nothing by getting the coupon.

I liked them very much. They did a great job on my tree. They pruned other shrubs and cleaned up the front and back yard.

Called last week for an estimate and was told by John that someone would be out either on Friday (7/6) or Monday (7/9). No one showed. I called 7/11/12 and reminded John of our conversation and he was apologetic for not having the estimate promising me that he would come out that day (7/11). By the time I returned home, I had an envelope with my estimate and made a call to follow up to schedule the services. I originally gave Liberty a grade of a D overall, but am very appreciative that things worked out for the better.

Very pleased with the communication, professionalism, and work performed. I would not hesitate to recommend/use this provider in the future!!!

Dax got in touch with me the day after I signed up for The Big Deal offered here. When he came out to discuss the work, he was very helpful and considerate. He listened to what I wanted and discussed various options. He never tried to sell me anything I didn't want and made sure that he understood exactly what I wanted done. When his team came to do the work, they were very knowledgable and professional. The work was done in no time at all with some extra work added in where it was needed (at no extra charge). They were professional, clean, and neat. And Dax was helpful with advice about neighbors and trees. It was a wonderful experience with a knid and caring individual and his team of professionals.

I can not say enough about Liberty Tree and the work performed. The work was scheduled for a full crew for the entire day. They complete the work in little over a half day. The work was outstanding and the clean up was amazing. You could not even tell we had any tree trimming done in the yard. They were careful around the pool and they did exactly what we wanted done and then some..... Thank you Liberty Tree Service.. Also, we were told that a different service truck was needed for the removal of the tree stump. The stump just disappeared one day and that was within one week of tree trimming. Awesome!!!!!

After a rough start to the process John and Dax came out to my property and we discussed the work that needed to be fixed. They agreed that the original work was not what was ordered and fixed what they could. I appreciate Dax making sure that the situation was handled correctly.

The crew was later than scheduled, due to a special celebration luncheon they had been attending, but the company made up for it by sending two crews so that the work would be completed within the time frame originally agreed upon. They moved the big trash out of the yard so they could work, took care of the trees, picked up and bagged all the small trash, and cleaned up after their work incredibly well. They let me know that one of the trees was being used as a post for the fence, and gave me the option of leaving part of the trunk or having to have a post hole dug (I chose to leave the tree -andt was told how to keep the tree from growing further). They offered to carry the big trash out to the street, but since I didn't know when trash collection was, I said no. When I started to move the trash back into the yard until I could find out when it could be put out legally, they pitched in to help me move it back. I was also pleased to see that the workers all wore eye and ear protection (I am an eye doc and have treated too many injuries due to unprotected eyes). No one was hurt, no limbs crashed into the house or the neighbors' houses, and one of the crew even apologized because some of the sawdust was blown into the kitchen through the partway open door. I'd never had trees removed before, and couldn't imagine how they could handle it all in such a confined space, but Liberty Tree Service staff obviously knew exactly what they were doing and did it extremely well.

The entire crew arrived on time and had the tree down out out in under 7 hours. My back space was cleaner than when they got here. Also cleaned up my neighbors spaces. Got some nice fireplace logs out of it as well. The 3-man crew that did the work were, to a man, professional, efficient, and clean. No complaints here.

They did a great job. They were knowledgeable, professional, and did what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up after themselves so good that you could not even tell they were here.

MIke Duffy showed up on schedule. I explained to him what I wanted done and he was very opinionated and struggled with me from the beginning on what I wanted done. He told me he was the expert and he knew best. I thought to myself hmmmm I'm the customer please just respect my wishes and take the trees down along with the bushes. He proceded to tell me what he thought should be done on trees I did not have him here for which further did not help the conversation. I shook his hand and told thanks but no thanks. He said he did not mean to be rude but he was.

They were able to remove some dead plants for me.They were also able to plant some new ones for me. They were also able to trim some of the other plants and bushes. I will not be sure until spring if some of the work they did turns out good.

Liberty, Mike Duffy and 2 other workers, arrived on schedule to begin day long pruning. After a short conversation involving what they would be doing (and they added in a few extra things - additional thank you), the job began. What an amazing job they did! They spent hours in the trees shaping them up; the clean-up was terrific...there was no evidence left of all the limbs removed; and when they were finished they just departed. I had to call their office to tell them how happy and impressed we are with the work they had completed. Even our trees say thank you.

During the freak Fall snowstorm of 2011, our two beatiful Bradford Pear trees suffered heavy damage. One was almost completely destroyed, the other just over half the branches were split. I called several tree companies and was told the price would be 1100 to 1200 dollars. Some companies were so overwhelmed, they would take new customers. I had previously bought a Big Deal coupon from Angies List for Liberty Tree, with the intent that they would do some tree thinning in the spring. When i called them about the pear trees, the responded quickly, gave me an estimate of 800 dollars, and scheduled the work without a deposit. The trees and debris were gone within a week. The cost to me was 700, because of the 100/200 coupon. Thanks, Liberty Tree!

THe work was never done.I lost time fielding all of the bids for the job. When companies are called for this kind of work, they cannot respond right away because they are out on job sites.
