the work went well but took months to schedule, with contractor repeatedly pushing off possible dates. While discussing a larger job on other beds, the same process began. After several more months, we moved to a different, more responsive, contractor.

We had a 30 foot tall spruce fall during Hurricane Sandy. The tree was on our neighbor's driveway so we were anxious to have it removed soon after the storm. I saw that Joe was across the street looking at a neighbor's tree (they are clients of his) so I asked if he could take care of our tree as well. He quoted me on the spot, then came to remove both of our trees the next day! They did an extremely thorough job, and cleaned up better than any other crew I have seen for tree removal.

Joe has done many projects on my property, from replacing and adding shrubs (he made wonderful recommendations and stayed within my budget) to clearing out invasive weeds to hardscaping and overall cleanup/mulching/pruning. He will do as little or as much as a clients requests, and his enthusiasm with the smaller jobs is as apparent as the more profitable ones.
Most recently, I called him about replacing some hedges with more attractive plantings. He arrived at my house on time and we walked my property because he also wanted to follow up on some other work he recently completed. He is very concerned with making sure his clients are satisfied with all completed work. He's very good at listening to his clients and working with them to arrive at a plan with is financially manageable and aesthetically pleasing. I decided to move forward on this project based on the information he gave me, and I feel comfortable with my decision.

We found this man through a garden shop that we have been using for years. It was the biggest mistake of our lives. He basically ruined everything he touched. This is not a small firm; it is a large firm for this area. I am warning people not to use them. They will overcharge you, they will not do what they say they will and what they do will not work. They are not professional and they are not nice. He coated the slate, which should not have been done. Every time it rains, it turns white and it is horrible. Initially it was beautiful and I was thrilled until it rained. He has to be the best salesman in the world. He talked me into fixing a flooding problem and now it is worse. The experience has been horrible and he is not a very nice person. The fall cleanup was $1,400 and the walkway was $6,500, which he wanted in cash. That is not expensive for slate. He did not tell us that he was going to dig up the lawn and now we have mud. We called him two days before Christmas because we were having flooding in where we had never had it before. He couldn't come until after the holiday and blocked my husband in the driveway. He took us to Small Claims Court and the judge said that she could not make a decision based on the pictures. She wanted to see the property. She came out and awarded him only the cost of the materials, which was $3,000. He sent us a horrible letter threatening to take us back to court. We have been getting estimates on what it will cost to fix and we are talking about big money. You really have to check out the people you hire. He was initially nice when we were giving him money and would show up on time. We lost almost all our topsoil. He is not responsive and didn't return our phone calls. His initial price was in the middle. I would never use him again.

They were very nice when they were there. They showed up on time to do the work. They called two days before they came out. They did what they said they would. They cleaned up everything when they were done working.

I know some things about landscaping and everything they said seemed like it was right. They really knew what they were doing. They didn't make any mess.

The trees look great and the mulching was very well done. Joe was prompt with an estimate and discussed everything in detail. The service will continue providing lawn care throughout the season.

They not only did a beautiful job of the landscaping, but the work from start to finish was completed in 3 days. I couldn't be happier with the finished product or with their responsiveness and were a pleasure to work with. I will definitely contact them again in the spring to refurbish and treat the shrubs. They said nothing had to be done before then.

My front had been dug up, in order to put in new drain pipes, so it was a mess. I spoke with Joe senior, who listened to my thoughts and gave some great suggestions. The work was performed within a few days and I couldn't be happier. Neighbors continue to comment, how great it looks.

THEY FIXED THE HEADACHE CAUSED BY ANOTHER COMPANY THAT WASN'T NEARLY AS COMPETENT. VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR ATTITUDE and ABILITY.
