Harvey'd crew did a great job of replacing and tiling the bathroom wall, installing the light fixture and ceiling fan, painting the bathroom and fixing issues with several interior doors.
The only problem I had with Harvey's work was the the installation of the new vanity, which is free standing on legs rather than going down to the floor. The work was delayed a month because Harvey was waiting for his team's plumber to be available. When the team arrived Harvey said he'd be doing the plumbing himself and was visibly dismayed to see the free standing vanity. Installing it presented technical issues that I believe were beyond his skill level. The vanity ended up a tad off center, with minor damage to the overflow trim and the pop up lift rod installed backwards (I later reinstalled it based on internet instructions).
If it weren't for that one sour note, I would be able to give Harvey all A's.

Don't let him in your house. Harvey only makes the estimate and the empty promises of satisfaction; unknown, un-introduced others do the work. Harvey claimed to be able to do the job. The workman arrived without tools for the job. The workman did not fill the uneven floor first, but using a 1/4and quot; tooth trowel ( 1/16thand quot; is specified on the adhesive's label) tried to fill cavities 1/4and quot; deep with glue. The result was a floor that was bubbly, lumpy and squishy for over 2 weeks. A vinyl floor should be rolled to effect consistent adhesion. They didn't have a roller. They borrowed a rolling pin from my kitchen, which proved inadequate. Rolled with pressure, great gobs of glue came oozing out the edges. I called Harvey back the next day and told him to take it out, scrape off the adhesive while it was still wet, and do the job right. (I had extra flooring material.) He stormed out . Maybe the glue has dried after 3 months : the depressions present before installation show, prominently, double ugly, and the workman created some new ones by cutting away parts of the existing sheet flooring. The fit, however, was perfection.
"Hi we did a beautiful job for the Member and she paid us upon completion we tolt her to stay off the floor for 24hours than I get a call saying there's is some wrong with floor so I go back to discover the Member pulled the vinyle floor up and tried to re lay the floor herself ishe just would not leave the job alone she kneeled on it walked on it and even tried to reinstall it after she claimed there was a problem basically she distroyed the job before I had the chance to examine it as far as my guys I have had the same workers for over 8 years ms son and a close family friend we have many references from customers who love our work the Member was happy enough to pay when we were done she just refused to follow our instructions"
"We will not purchase any material prior to the start of a job to many people cancel at the last minute or reschedule unforgonitly we can not carry all things needed sometimes we have to go pick up material this takes time I have no problem with the customer going to pick up material or if it is waiting at job site for us this will save time and money"

He was unwilling to give me a clear idea of what the overall cost for the project (to expand cabinets in my kitchen) and quoted me an hourly rate that on the high side of reasonable. I felt like he was an honorable guy and seemed to know what he was doing (although he made it clear he would not be doing the work personally). I called several times a few weeks later to offer him the job and after 3 calls never heard back.
"Sorry ur staff did not like me I showed up on time and patiently waited for the customer to meet with me took the time to look at his project at no charge presented the customer with his options explained our hourly rate and gave him a verbal estimate of how long it would take the customer says I didn't return his call I have no record of his follow up call maybe he was calling other handyman because I take great pride in returning every call as far as my pricing I am almost half price compared to other reputable handyman services in my area I have contacted the customer in an attempt to rectify his review I feel the customer's review is very out of line"
