the initial contact went well enough. KC did come out to look things over to provide an estimate. I never got an estimate, even after a call to ask about it. I understand that things can get busy, but this is not acceptable. KC will not get a contract from me.

Fine. The gentleman went up on the roof and 15 minutes later it was done.

This particular contractor doesn't repair or replace flat roofs. He replied right away to my call and we discussed what needed to be completed. He was very professional and I would call him again for other work.

The crew arrived first thing in the morning on the day promised. Quick and efficient. Cleaned up the site and performed good quality work.

John and his team started when they said they would and finished on time. He didn't mark up the cost of the skylights which saved me $1,500. All of his employees are US citizens and did a great job.

We had several contractors bid on the project. John's estimate and approach to the work was the most sound. John met with us early (7am) on a Saturday morning to draw up the original design and he followed through with a proposal within a very short period of time - each event demonstrating his timeliness and professionalism. There was about a 3 week wait between John's team wrapping up an existing project and him taking personal vacation, as John is onsite and oversees all work on his projects (i.e., there was no subcontracting with this job). Once started, the duration of the project was four days. John's team started at each day around 630am and wrapped up around 3pm each day. There was a 4 man crew plus John here each day diligently working. John asked to leverage our garage to store the supplies and tools for overnight periods, and to leave a dumptruck in the driveway for waste collection, which was fine and expected. Each day during construction, John showed my wife and I the progress that they made, the next steps of the task, and routinely asked if we had any questions. On the final day, John's team cleaned up all supplies/waste from the work area, including raking the yard to make sure that nothing was overlooked. John and his team were very professional and courteous throughout the project and built a high quality roof. There were no surprises along the way or any deviation from the initial proposal. We have received several compliments on his work from friends and family.

I called John to evaluate the roof of our house after discovering a leak. He and his crew were on time, polite, and made the repair within one hour.

John was very professional and took time to discuss our concerns regarding to the roof. discover other problems and how to fix it.

John arrived at the scheduled time with a truck, a ladder, and two crew members. They went on to the roof and did a thorough examination. John explained the work they would do and patiently answered all my questions. I went with another contractor this time but may request their services in the future.

The inspector gave me a detail report about 1. Leaked roof 2. Pictures of Chimney cracks. 3. Recommendation to fix

They came over and looked at the roof. They did what they said they would do.

Contractor arrived at my residence and completed an estimate. He stated that my roof should be replaced sooner rather than later. I had three other contractors come out and they said that my roof was fine and would be for a few more years. I understand when looking at things such as a roof it can come down to the providers opinion. That is why I got multiple estimates.

Outstanding service. John and his crew work quickly and accurately. One of the most important ways of determining the skill level of a roofer is when they run into "special" problems on a newly uncovered roof. John encounter major damage to a small porch roof and the rear of one of the buildings. He did not "run away" from the challenge of the repairs( it did cost extra, as expected but reasonable) like so many other roofers would do by telling you to get a carpenter. His crews experience and know how took over and made innovative and solid repair options for a reasonable price in a timely manner on both issues. John was not crazy about working in the city proper, but who can blame him all things considered, but he came in and banged out the work in great time for which I'm thankful. KC is worth every penny spent - bottom line. If your looking for a good roofer who will do the job right and fast in addition to on the spot nasty repairs (you never know what you'll find under an old roof, I seen it first hand) KC is worth the wait, time and money. There is a reason he's one of the top 3 roofers in the area, now I know why. He did two roofs consecutively in two weeks.

Workman cancelled appointment several times at the last minute.

Had a hard time reaching John by phone, we both missed each other's calls a few times. When we finally talked he agreed to come out and take a look to give an estimate on a specific day. He said he'd call about 30 minutes before arriving, he never called and didn't show up for the consultation.

John and his team were professional and responsive from day one. Pricing and scheduling were clearly outlined from the start and any unforeseen conditions requiring additional work were documented and confirmed with me before proceeding. During the work John and his team kept me informed of the progress on a very regular basis. Given my experience on what was a very difficult repair/replacement job, I would work with John again in a heartbeat and wish that other contractors and service providers exhibited the same level or honest, efficient professionalism that John does.

Everything was very good. Neat job. Good materials. Good pace of the work. Good communication. Constructive criticism is be sure to pick up any cigarette butts.

I wrote a review right after service. However, their service was great. They had a good price and the workmanship was outstanding. One worker even retrieved one of our dogs who had left the yard. They honored a first estimate that was verbal and lower than their written contract. The person who scoped the job was very knowledgeable and made me feel confident that the work would be excellent.

Based on his cursory inspection, he reported that the roof was not in need of replacement at this time.

Contractor performed work as descibed. Workers were professional and will use again in future.

I contacted KC Contracting originally because I wanted my gutters re-hung, as the pitch was off. I also asked for a quote on a new roof because I new I needed it sooner rather than later. After contacting KC, John called me fairly soon there after and set an appointment to come look at my roof. He gave me an estimate on the new roof, which I thought was a fair price, and said that potentially if I wanted to, they could try fit it in before the weather got too bad. I decided to go ahead and do it. I should also mention that if they found they could not do it this season due to weather, he offered to have some guys come and fix my gutters at least, and replace the roof next season. They ended up being able to fit me in in early December. The crew of guys were punctual and professional. The whole job took 2 days. It looks great, and I am extremely satisfied with the final product. I would certainly use KC Contracting again and recommend them to anyone else.

I bought the $49 deal for a roof inspection which apparently doesn't include a written report, only a verbal report over the phone. I suppose I shouldn't have assumed that the inspection would include a written report. They came out to take a look, and after playing phone tag for a couple of weeks, John got a hold of me and basically told me I need a new roof and should plan on replacing it sooner than later. He gave me a ballpark figure for how much it would cost. I asked him if he could give me something more concrete than a ballpark figure, and he told me he'd email a proposal to me within a week. That was three weeks ago, and I haven't heard anything. So, honestly, I'm not sure what I paid $49 for. I've had other companies come out for free and tell me I need to replace my roof, plus they gave me a written proposal for the new roof. Disappointing.

His crew arrived right on time on a Monday morning. They were very courteous and very professional. They came again on Tuesday (right on time) and finished the job. They cleaned up very well and did a great job on my roof. I am glad that I got John's company to do the work.

I paid $49.00 for an evaluation and the provider has never contacted me.

Following the purchase of the $49 inspection, I was quickly contacted by John Kindler, the owner, who discussed the positives and negatives of the existing roof. He informed me that the roof would probably be fine for up to two years but was starting to show its age. I asked for a quote on a new roof and he provided one that day. After considering it and seeing that this was a very good price, I agreed to take advantage of his services this year and get a new roof. John e-mailed me the formal quote and I ok'd it. It did take about two months before he called to schedule the work (not a problem since this was not an emergency repair) but on the date agreed, his crew arrived on time and efficiently stripped the roof, prepared it and completed the job that same day. They arrived about 7 a.m. and had the place cleaned up and job done by 3 p.m. I was quite impressed.
