Beautiful job

Jaime and Jose first removed the old wall to wall carpeting and padding and disposed of it.  Using great care, they moved my furniture into other parts of the house so they would have room to work.  The removal of the carpets revealed a couple issues where repair work was needed on the wood floors.  They did the necessary repairs, replacing the problem areas with new hardwood.  They sanded the floors and refinished them with a stain/polyurethane coating.  They also provided beautiful new wood baseboards where needed.  The end results were beautiful!  Jaime and Jose are hard-working, neat and clean, and respectful.  I have hired them to return and replace my old kitchen floor, which they will be doing in the near future.  I highly recommend them.

My husband and I bought an 8,000 sf historic carriage house in Haverford, PA. We are just completely finishing a million dollar renovation. We needed 4,400 sf of new and hardwood floor refinished and asked our lead carpenter for a recommendation for a floor guy. He recommended Jaime Escaleras.

Jaime gave us a fair price of $2.50 a square foot. He did everything perfectly. Some of the floors were really old, some wood had separated, Jaime worked on all of it including filling in cracks as needed. The house is a $3.3 million house and the floors are fabulous. He came each day to work on the floor. We did not care exactly when he arrived in the morning, so I can't comment on that. Jaime and one other worked tirelessly and professionally. They truly get an A+

It went great - I had heard terrible stories about how much dust would be all over my house due to the sanding aspect of the work (and not just in the rooms being completed) but this was not my experience at all. Escaleras Bros. taped everything off to prevent the dust from escaping and literally I do not have dust anywhere. The floors look great, they were great to work with and I'm so thrilled with their work, they're coming back to finish another room in my house. I highly recommend Escaleras Bros. for any hardwood flooring work.

Extremely friendly, hard working crew. Did a wonderful job refinishing what I thought was unsalvageable. They first replaced the really bad areas, and tied it in nicely, removed old nails and staples, then they sanded the whole surface including stairs. Then they laid out some sample stains on the floor for me to chose. They stained the wood then put 3 coats of polyurethane. Very detail oriented and used small tools to get into crevices. These guys are absolutely wonderful.

Showed up on time. Very professional team. Did an excellent job on all tasks and within stated time frame. I thought they provided excellent value and would hire them again. Only one glitch was they forgot to reinstall the radiator covers upon completion of job, but I called about this and they came over the next day and took care of it. Overall they did an excellent job, especially on the eat-in kitchen floor, which was very labor intensive to remove glued on linoleum and turned out "like new" wood flooring underneath!
