Prompt, courteous and well done.

Wells and Sons cleaned one flue and capped off another. They inspected the liner in the working flue, which is old, and told me that it was in good shape. I appreciated that since they easily could have tried to scare-sell me a chimney liner for $2,000 or so but they did not.

They started in December and finished in January. The best part was there was no doubt at all about what they were saying needed to be fixed, which was very cool. They were very prompt and friendly. They didn't let the cat out. They were wonderful about encouraging me to look for certain accessories on my own because they are more expensive through their contractor service which was very nice. They drew me a picture and took measurements of the kind of fireplace glass doors we needed. I wouldn't have known what I was measuring.

They did an excellent job; quickly and efficiently. 

I was very pleased with the servicemen that cleaned the chimney.  Due to the amount of debris the task was lengthy.  The lining of the chimney was delayed due to the weather.  I was kept informed promptly.  I am very pleased with Wells & Son and have recommended them.

I didn't need to be home when the work was done.

The 2 workers were polite and completed the task in 3 hrs. They were here on time and explained everything they were doing and promptly cleaned up when done. You can't even tell they were here. I will use Wells and Sons again and will recommend them to my friends.

They were on time and professional.  We had some leaking in the attic around the chimney and we do not seem to have that now but I would have to confirm that with my husband.  Overall we were satisfied.  The price was expensive. 

I got an estimate for some fireplace repairs, and I was impressed with the punctuality, knowledge, and honesty of the owner. He was extremely helpful, and gave me some excellent suggestions/referrals to very knowledgeable and helpful local pros.

Between the estimate, scheduling, and the completion of the job they were very quick and efficient. The two workers were very professional and took extra efforts to ensure the cleanliness of the work area. When I need additional chimney work I plan to contact Wells & Sons again as I was very pleased with the job.

Stove was delivered. I wanted to install it myself. I purchased the stove pipe and installed the stove. It didn't seem to get very hot for the size of the room. Wells and Sons re-installed the stove, changed the blower and the container the pellets burn in at their expense. The stove workes better, but not as good as I would have liked. Wells and Sons argued with the maker and had additional parts sent. They also paid for cosmetic improvements to the unit. I had them clean out chimney and they not only scheduled it quickly, but were very fast with absolutly no mess for us to clean up. We are very pleased with the survice Wells and Sons supplied and would highly recomend them.

Two service men were on time, clean and professional. They used a Hepa vacuum so no soot was escaping and a tarp to lay down their equiptment. They were able to show me with a small camera how they checked the inside of chimney for damage, and I had none. Since I had never had a fireplace before and was nervous I would burn the house down, they took the time to explain the best way to start a fire, best wood to use and how to clean up afterward. They even started a fire for me to show me. They told me some good tips, such as warming up the inside of the fireplace first so no smoke would enter the room. They were wonderful and I will use them again. I did have to wait a few weeks, but they were worth it.

They did a great job. They were very honest and told me that I did not need to have the chimney swept every year. They didn't recommend services I did not need.

Wells is an awesome company. They had fixed our leaking chimney before that no one else could seem to fix.

I telephoned the company for an appointment. An appointment was made and service man appeared in a timely fashion. He kept the appointment as made and performed the service quickly and efficiently. He was knowledgeable and professional in his manner. I paid for the service in full by check.

After waiting over two weeks for them to come and give me an estimate and receiving a confirmation call the day before the appointment, someone called me the day of the scheduled estimate to say that they could not come because they do not service my area. This was perplexing as I had specifically asked if they did service my area when I had set up the appointment. I had been assured that they did. I wasted two weeks waiting for an estimate that was never given. The reason provided was that they do not have a license in my area because I live on the wrong side of City Line Ave. I am sure they do good work, but I am disappointed by their un-knowledgeable office staff.

Excellent. Thoughtful and professional team. Prompt, courteous, very respectful of our home and time.I had multiple technical questions before agreeing to go forward - Dave was very comfortable addressing them, and shared with me how some of the technical calculations were done. Also very willing to use video technology if necessary (without a hidden cost to do so). It turned out not to be all that hard a job, but we did not know that going in to the project. It could have been quite involved - and I appreciated that all the costs were made clear up front.

Called in for a chimney sweep, but was told (and shown) that the previous owners had not used it enough to really warrant a cleaning at this time. Very courteous and professional.

From what I could tell, Wells & Sons did a great job with my chimney work. If you use a chimney during the winter, you know how important it is to have your chimney cleaned each year. Wells & Sons even took the time to give me some tips pertaining to how to use my chimney. They lined the entire thing as well. I thought they were great. I will be giving them my business seasonally. Chimney companies can be tricky to work with sometimes so I am really glad to have found a reliable service and more importantly, one who hires people who know what they are talking about and what they are doing.

I was really happy with Wells & Sons. I thought they did great work. They showed up when they said they would. They always communicated with me regarding what they were doing and why they were doing it. I thought they were great to deal with and I'd be inclined to encourage other members to look into them if they haven't already.

We made an appointment to have the chimney cleaned and have a cap installed. They were on time, cleaned the chimney, inspected the structure of the chimney with a camera which I observed with them. With regards to the cap however, our chimney was octagonal and therefore they didn't have the cap on the truck. We were told when the appointment was made that the installation fee for the cap would be waived since they would be coming to clean the chimney. Regardless, they came back two days later and waived the installation fee even though they had to make a second trip.
