I would hire this company for a future job.

They arrived on time, the price was competitive, and the job was completed in a timely fashion. They were professional, courteous, and cleaned up well.

I was not there during the time of the service but I added work for a nominal fee once they were on site. The were very reasonably priced, neat, and careful. They left a neat stack of wood that we could use for our fire pits. They were easy to work with and I was pleased with the service.

The service was good. They were polite, personable, and very responsive. The owner fist came to assess what work needed to be done. He said they would follow up in a week and schedule the service. The man came to do the work but first went everything he was going to do. He went right to work and explained everything effectively. He did everything I wanted done and I was pleased with the work. The price was high but he really tidy up well and did a great job. He cleaned up the debris nicely and removed it all which I really appreciated.

After I left a message for about a $1000 worth service, I got a call back 3 days later. We set up a tentative date to stop by for an estimate, but i never heard back from them to either confirm the appointment or set up another - went with another service.

Two staff showed up as scheduled and downed the trees without damaging other surrounding trees and bushes, even a small butterfly bush that could barely be seen ... well done. My only small complaint, which may even be partly my fault was that when I spoke with Eric at first, then the 2 staff as they cut the firewood pieces, there was confusion on the size of branches I wanted to keep as firewood. After further discussion we got it straightened out what I wanted all pieces greater than 2-3 inches diameter and that logs should all be cut to 18-24". At the conclusion, I agreed to cut the longer branches of 2-5" diameter myself so as to stay within the price we agreed upon. They mounded the firewood pieces and cleaned up perfectly. I will use them again but be more specific with communication of expectations before hand.

Came when specified, excellent clean up, no damage to surrounding plantings. They are quite busy so if not an emergency must wait about 3-4 weeks.

My experience went very well. There are still doing things now and then. They were very responsive. They came out when they said they would. They were very professional, friendly. Considerate. They trimmed a whole bunch of trees, they took out a couple of trees and just overall it went very well.

It went very well; I'm very satisfied with the work. Ken was on time, efficient, knowledgable, and polite. He had all the tools he needed; he didn't disrupt zebra grass planted next to the tree. He knew where to get information that he didn't have on hand;

Called for an appointment. Immediately received a date for someone to call back. Met with Arborist the next week and discussed what work needed to be done.

Arborel did exactly what I asked them to do which was to trim the tree, remove any branches hanging near neighbors' windows and generally trim out the deadwood. We had a bad experience several years earlier when the tree was reduced to something resembling a palm tree, and I did not want this to happen again since the tree is a bird and squirrel haven. It didn't happen. I was pleased with the final result. The tree looks great.

The tree is now gone, rather 'painlessly." The owner arrived the day I called to give me a price, and the tree was gone the next day. It would have been nice had they used a leaf blower afterwards, however, as there were small tree particles left all over our roof and yard. I was not at home during the removal.

I called up for service because the info on angie's list indicated that their service area included the whole of Allegheny County. when told where our place was (Jefferson Hills), I was told that this was outside their service area

A 60' locust came down next to my house. Fortunately, it was caught by a neighboring Mulberry tree which kept the tree from smashing our greenhouse. The tree hovered precariously over the green house and I was a bit apprehensive about the situation. I called 6 tree cutters. Three of them told me they don't service my area. One said he'd stop by and take a look and never came. Another, never returned the call. Davey Tree answered my call and told me it might be possible for someone to take a look at it that day. When I arrived home Ron had left an estimate and the amount of the required deposit. I was impressed at the professionalism of the estimate and how fast they took a look at the job. The estimate looked fair so I called the office back to confirm and to arrange payment. I took the deposit out to their office since I was in the area and hoped it might expedite the work. I asked for someone to call me, to just give a general idea of when they'd do the work, and if there was anything they needed from me. I was told someone would contact me. That was on a Wednesday. Friday, Saturday, Sunday came and passed without any contact, while the tree still hung over my greenhouse. It was the weekend so I could understand how my name could get to the bottom of the pile. I figured they'd call me early the next week. It became Friday, a good 9 days after I had written out a deposit check, and I still had not received any contact at all from Davey Tree. By this time, I was becoming a good bit more apprehensive about the tree, and also a good bit angry about not having any contact with this company. Actually, angry is putting it mildly. I'm in the services and I'm on Angie's list, and I know it's not hard to return a phone call. All that I wanted was a lousy phone call. Not only did it make me question the validity of the company, but it made feel disrespected. (Actually, now that I think of it, one of the tree guys I initially contacted, called me from the hospital to tell me he wouldn't be able to do anything soon.I appreciated that.) So, I was angry. On that Friday night I wrote a note to their corporate office via their web site expressing my thoughts about their company. The following Monday evening,Voila! The tree had disappeared. So all's well that ends well. The quality of the work was as good as it gets. They did exactly what they said they would do. I really have to hand it to the crew because it was a difficult job to perform as the tree rested so dangerously over the greenhouse and branches could easily take out windows. They took out the tree without damage to anything around it and they cleaned the area. The workmanship was impeccable. I have edited to add that Ron from Davey Tree called and left an extended message with what seems to be a sincere apology for the lack of communication. I accept that apology and understand that sometimes communications within an office can be less than perfect. I'd also like to reiterate that the quality of the work was spectacular.

Arborel Tree Service did an awesome job. The workers did a terrific job and were very professional. They worked hard and steady. I would recommend them to everyone needing tree cutting and stump grinding.

We called several tree removal companies to give an estimate to remove 6 dead trees from our yard. Eric came on time as scheduled and was very nice and informative. As he looked at our situation he pretty much said he wouldn't do the job because it would have been dangerous being that there weren't any healthy trees close enough to the dead ones to be able to climb to cut down the dead ones. He sort of ball parked a price at around the $3000 mark which was the high end of the estimates we received. We ended up going with a company who was about $1000 less, and they had no issues removing the trees. Eric however was very pleasant and informative, and was happy to take a look at a tree in our front yard I had a question about. If we ever had concerns with our trees health & maintenance though, I would definitely look into using them for that.

My experience has been good. I think they are proactive for tree health and they suggest treatments and options to prevent problems in the future.

They responded very quickly and the price was reasonable. They told me they would treat it three times, each two weeks apart. The second was applied yesterday. Very happy. They said they will return in the fall to remove any deadwood.

We had 40 year old yew shrubs in front of our house that we wanted to replace with gardens. We cut down the shrubs ourselves and thought we could "pull out" the stumps. No way. Those stumps were not going to budge, not even with a chain hooked up to our SUV hitch. Davey Tree was able to get rid of the ten stumps plus a cut-down plum tree stump for such a reasonable price. The guy showed up with an impressive small piece of machinery and he VERY carefully got the stumps grinded down. I emphasize that he was careful because I had a very special hydrangea planted very close to these yew stumps and I was eager to keep it safe. He even guided the machine around our blooming spring flowers. He also set up a protective screen to keep the chips from flying and hitting the windows. Finally, he raked up each area and then cleaned up our front step from the debris. He got this all done in just about an hour. I have had Davey Tree work on our trees, etc., a number of times and they never disappoint.

Everything performed with skill and efficiency. This company is very communicative, prompt, and professional. I would definitely use them again for a tree service need. The price I paid was significantly less than another quote I got.

I oversaw all the work so as to have the limbs I wanted to be removed for sure. I never overrode their suggestions - really did not have to be there! They are thorough and work hard. They were very respectful of my wishes. Work done well.

I originally called Davey Tree for an estimate in the Fall of 2011. Eric walked around our property and explained to me what needed to be done to keep our trees healthy (we have wonderful shade trees). At the time we did not have the money to spend but when we did eleven months later, Eric honored his original quote. We had a long wait time because Davey was very busy, but I did not mind because Eric and the office were so professional and helpful. Two men worked on our trees during a January Thaw and even set aside some of our larger pruned limbs for us to use as firewood (cut them up for us too!). The men who worked on our property were cheerful and thorough.

The company was great to work with. Very punctual and professional. I was very happy with the results and would highly recommend again.

All went as expected, no problems, no complaints.
