At first - everything seemed like a dream job. We had a pipe explode in a wall. Our entire neighborhood has issues with bad (thin) copper pipes that often have issues. We decided that in addition to the work that the insurance company was recommending / covering, we were going to remodel everything. Kress took out the walls and ceilings in multiple areas. We purchased all new appliances and cabinets. We also had the entire bottom house painted. We had carpet put into some places. We had new floors put in. Lots of work... The issue is with their electrician. First - we were told that he would fix all of the outlets in our sunroom (they are upside down for some reason). I told him when he was here, "Brian said that you would fix all of these for us." He grunted something - literally - and the job didn't get done. Years later, they are still upside down. Secondly - and more importantly - we had our microwave moved to the other side of the room to go above the oven. Instead of him updating the wiring while the walls were all bare and nothing was in the room - he just attached the power to a line that was already overtaxed. Now, when we use the microwave (which we rarely do because it's exasperating - but sometimes, it is necessary) - the power goes out on much of the house. Basement lights, our air cleaner, the sunroom lights and fan, the dining room lights, kitchen lights and so many other things. Note that all of those ratings would be A's but I cannot justify an A when I have to run out to my garage to reset the power multiple times a week. Their workers - Harry and Brock - were INCREDIBLE. Our house LOOKS amazing - still - years later, but this one - big - issue is too big for us to ignore. This job was done in 2014. We have been trying to get the electrician back here for a very long time with frequent contacts with multiple people at Kress. (We have called them more than 10 times. I have emailed them more than six times. I am told that the electrician is very busy and he will come when he has time. He apparently hasn't had time in years. We have had another electrician come in to confirm what needs to be done.) And I would hire them again - if they got another electrician who is more knowledgeable / reliable.

We had used Kress Brothers in the past for water cleanup in a flooded basement and had been quite satisfied. Unfortunately, it happened again and our first call was to Kress Brothers. The initial cleanup went fine, 2 men came and cleaned it all up in about 2 hours and were on their way.

That is when the problems started. They left equipment in place to continue to dehumidify the basement which needed to be picked up a few days later. We worked with the company to find an appropriate time to do this, and I left work to be here at a time that was convenient for him. Unfortunately, when he was supposed to come, I called and he told me he may not be on time because he had scheduled another appointment. I called back an hour later to make sure he would make it so I could go back to work, and was initially told he was out of the office. When I asked to speak to a manager or owner, the receptionist was somehow able to find him and he begrudgingly came out to collect the equipment as we had scheduled.

Then the bill came. It was higher than the first time we had used them, with far less work performed. They billed me for 7 hours of labor when there were only 2 workers here for 2 hours. I emailed both owners of the company and asked them to look into this inaccurate billing and 2 weeks later have not received a response. I have emailed them again and hope to hear back this time.

In any case, we were certainly dissatisfied with our experience this time despite having had a positive experience in the past. I was even more unhappy when I gave them an opportunity to correct the mistake and they decided to not do anything about it. I would not use them again.

EDIT TO UPDATE: After I sent the company another email to remind them to address my concerns, I received a very poorly worded email back from one of the Kress brothers that did not address many of my concerns. I was hoping to give the company the benefit of the doubt that it was just one employee, but it seems that this attitude of unprofessionalism goes to the top.

They had different people come in to work. They said they would have to work twice but they pulled off and managed to work at once. Their price was very reasonable. They did an extremely good job. They said when they would start the job and when they would finish the job and they did it. They were very professional. I am going to use them again because I had a pipe break.

I had 3 bids done for the project. They were all in the same ball park, around $14,000. Kress was able to begin the project the soonest so I went with them. I was told it would be a 3-4 week job....4 months later it was finished.The entire process was brutal. The contractor (who has since been fired from Kress) was HORRIBLE. Everything he could have messed up he managed to: ordering the wrong pieces, ordering the wrong size, not scheduling the right men in the necessary order, not ordering tile, then over ordering and charging me for it. He was NEVER available and when I attempted to call the owners of the company they were also unavailable.  
A few weeks after the project was finally complete I  noticed some staining on my floor so had them come back and look. They said it was from using hairspray but in fact it was from them not sealing the floors. They still haven't fixed it. Also, when they came to look at the floor they brought me my final bill: $28,885.00!! Yep, that's double what they quoted me for. I was NEVER told I was going over budget. Not once. They thought it was funny when I called them to discuss the charges. I have not heard back from them since.
PLEASE do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THEM!!

My water damages took place on Sept 16, 2013 and contact made with Kress Brothers on Sept 18 , 2013 and Emergency repairs were made the same date. Tony Traggiai who is the Insurance Restoration Specialist made contact with me the same date and he then came to my home to write a estimate of repair. Tony was very prompt and a true professional. Once the estimate of repairs were completed i received a call from Ralph Ussack who is the job coordinator and again he was very professional, Several days later my job was started and Justin Dugan along with Jason Green started repairs and they did a fantastic job.   Later they sent out their painter Michael Tobin and later Jamie Adams and both were again true professionals.. I had numerous conversations with Ralph Ussack the job coordinator and at all times he was a true professional and made me feel like one important customer.  Although i do not have the name of their brick layer he also came to my home for another job and again all i can say is WHOL what a great job he did. Thanks to all who worked on my home and thanks for any one i may of missed.

Everything went so well.  
Kitchen wall removed, pipe fixed, mold cleaned, wall replaced. 
All new flooring (commercial grade laminate wood) in kitchen, eating area, powder room, entry and hall.
New carpet on stairs. Stairs were painted / stained. New railing. New banister - new carpet in upstairs hall. 
Powder room - we decided to have them take out all of the walls and put up news ones. New lighting, fan, toilet, sink, cabinet.
Everything painted - 
It all went so well. 
Harry and Brock were our workers - and electricians and plumbers and painters were constantly coming and going.
We couldn't be happier with the job that was done.

the Carpenters were here on time every day , they knew their craft and performed it well . We were very satisfied with their work.
  The Painter was last , and did another terrific job . This man knew his business too .
   Kress Brothers is a very fair and professional Contractor

They completed the project and the garage looked better than it did when we purchased the house years ago.  The workers were very professional, very caring, polite and could not do enough to make me happy.  I would recommend them highly!!!!!!

The work was done reasonably well but it took an entire month for them to complete the project, which should have taken one week. Everything was subcontracted out, and it seemed like one person would come each day for 30-40 minutes and then leave. There were days when no one came at all. It also took them another two months to bill us. We had asked for rubber matting in half of the basement and the estimated cost was $2,000. We were able to buy the mats ourselves for $400 dollars and it only took a few hours to install. Overall, I would not recommend their services.

Disappointing and very frustrating overall.
Various day workers generally did a good job, but did not always arrive at the stated time.
A project that was to take approximately one month dragged on for over three months and was FINALLY finished when I threatened tio involve my attorney.

I had siding that ws damaged. I turned the claim into my insurance and this was the recommended company to use through my insurance company. They came out to complete an estimate. It seemed fair so I went with them. They ordered the materials and came out to install however they had order the wrong type of framing/fascia around my windows and doors. So I then needed to pick a different type of material and color and then they needed to reorder it. This delayed the project by a couple weeks. THey then installed, while I was travelling for work. Upon my return the job was done well but they had left some materials (many nails scattered all over my porch, down in the cracks etc). THey called to verify the job was done to my satisfaction. I expressed my disappointment on the lack of cleanliness and they had someone out within 2 hours to clean up the mess. 

I have used this company before and I was very satisfied with their service. They were very polite and prompt. I would definitely use their services again.

They were bad. My house is still not done and it is two years now since they last did the job. The contract was supposed to start in July of 2009, but they came to my house in August with no contract. The insurance company brought them in. The wallpaper guy did work for them. The painters were from Kress Brothers. They were the main contractors. A year later, they sent the next bill for $12000. The quality of their work is very lousy. On top of that, we had things taken from our house during that period by somebody. They are a bad company. They didn’t finish anything. My wallpaper came off in my kitchen in just one year. My insurance company tried their level best to get it straightened out. There is one check that is still not cashed in almost a year and the other one is sitting in the bank. We are seniors and they gave no contract. I thought our insurance company had the contract. They gouged my bathroom walls up. I thought the gentleman was good. It was terrible. They said they ordered my wallpaper. Then my daughter went to the store and found out that they had never ordered since they had a problem with it. They lied to us. They not only do restoring, but they also do houses. They inflate their bills. They are not hands-on. When you call them, they don’t come. They bill you for work that they don’t do. I could see the old paint and they had missed big spots. We had to argue with their painters. It always smelt like they had liquor when they used to leave to go buy supplies. The whole crew used to go to buy the paint instead of just one guy. They used to be gone for three hours. It has been a nightmare. My husband was very sick during that period with heart problems. My experience with them was terrible.

They were out from September 10th to October 10th to get the work done. They stripped everything down to the studs and the floorboards, removed the tub and also removed all the tile. They then installed new tile, new shower, a new tub as well as new walls and then painted it.

We were very impressed with the professionalism of this group. From the intricately detailed contract to the practice of hanging fresh plastic each day that they came to work (and of cleaning up at the end of each day), we were eased through the project with the minimum of hassle. Each crew that came focused on a specific job, whether plumbing, hanging drywall (and insulation), or stippling. We now have a good-as-new ceiling; one would never know we'd had a problem. The ceiling portion of the work was covered by our homeowners insurance. However, we had the plumber install two new faucets while he was here. He forgot to tighten a couple of fittings but returned right away to tend to what he'd missed; he did not charge extra for the added visit. Overall, we were pleased with the work done by everyone who came.

A TREE HAD FELL ON MY HOUSE LAST SEPTEMBER AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY RECOMMENDED THIS BUSINESS. WE HIRED THEM, BRAD WAS MY CONTACT. I WASN'T COMFORTABLE WITH HAVING PEOPLE IN MY HOUSE WHEN I WAS NOT HOME. THEY DID THE WORK OUTSIDE THE HOME HOWEVER, WE HAD TO WORK AROUND MY SCHEDULE FOR THE WORK INSIDE THE HOUSE. WE SCHEDULED FOR THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. HE NEVER SHOWED UP. WHEN I CALLED HIM, HE STATED THAT HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS COMING OUT THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING. WE RESCHEDULED. HE STATED THAT THE INSIDE WORK COULD BE DONE IN ONE DAY. WHEN THE WORKERS ARRIVED, THE STATED THERE WAS NO WAY THEY COULD FINISH IT ALL IN ONE DAY. THEY FINALLY DID THE WORK IN THE KITCHEN AND THE CEILING DID NOT LOOK QUITE RIGHT.. ALSO, THE ROOF WAS STILL LEAKING AFTER THEY HAD FIXED IT THE FIRST TIME. HERE IT IS MARCH AND THEY FINALLY HAVE RE-CHECKED THE ROOF. FINALLY, THEY FINISHED THE REPAIRS. THE WORKERS WERE FINE BUT THE COMMUNICATION WAS BAD AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
