Description of Work: My washer agitator stopped working. I called in the morning and Art was at my house by 10 am. He was finished in 1/2 hour and only charged me the service call even though he installed a part. He also gave me tips on buying a new washer and dryer when I decide to do so in the future.

Description of Work: Art was fantastic. I called late Friday, he came Saturday. He needed to order a control panel - which was most of the cost - and had it installed Wednesday morning. Art was reasonably priced and very thorough. He was delight as was his scheduler (wife) who called back within one hour. I have already recommended him to all of my family.

Description of Work: I did not use Art in this particular instance as he referred me to Dunbar Appliance since Art no longer sevices refrigerators. In addition to my refrigerator, I had specific problems with my clothes washer. Rather than paying two service trip fees, he suggested Dunbar. Obviously, I appreciated his thoughtfulness and professional in making this referral. | |Art has done, in the past, several repairs to my washer and dryer. He is excellent!!

+ -1 moreI called Saturday around noon. He had 2 other service calls before mine but said he could come out after that in the afternoon. Quoted $60 for service call and cost of parts if any were needed. Arrived about 2:30. Knew what to look for, what to rule out, and found the problem quickly. Had the part on hand ($20), replaced it, put everything back together, total time in my home about an hour. So in a few hours from when I called, the problem was fixed. Cost was exactly as quoted: service call plus a part plus tax. He was friendly and polite, and also friendly and patient with my curious kids (beyond the call of duty!). I hope nothing else breaks but if it ever does I would definitely use this provider again! Thanks!
Description of Work: Dryer had been making a rattling noise then stopped working altogether. He quickly found the broken part and replaced it. Dryer was working again (quietly!) in no time. Also vacuumed out lint etc. while he had it apart.

+ -1 moreExtremely well! He found the broken part immediately. He said I could replace it or he would rewire it to bypass the water shut off when the lid is opened. I choose the bypass. The washer is now better then the day I bought it. He was very professional. and knew his stuff.

+ -1 moreHe didn't have the exact part but he had some fabric he manufactured so he was able to fix it the same day he came out. He is a very nice man and he does all the work himself. He was very personable and was able to get me in for an appointment the next day. He showed up on time for the appointment and he cleaned up well after himself.
Description of Work: He repaired the dryer. There was some fabric that was coming loose from around the fitting. I have used him before in the past about 30 years ago.

Much better than going out and buying a new washer. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends/family.

+ -1 moreHe came out the same day I called, which was great. The job was finished in 20 minutes, and everything's working great. I was embarrassed because we had never really cleaned the dryer out properly, and he commented on the fact that there was so much lint and hair near the flame (gas dryer) that it's a miracle our house hasn't burned down. I'm very grateful that we had this done! He explained how to clean it out properly in the future and that we should do it every 3 months. Good to know! I would highly recommend Art to anyone and will use him again if we need to. Also, very reasonably priced!
Description of Work: Our dryer wasn't heating up at all, so he cleaned it all out and got it working properly. It only took him about 20 minutes.

+ -1 moreAlthough Art did not make a service call to my house today, his professionalism and integrity left a lasting impression and I will definitely phone him whenever I do need service or repair on my washing machine or dryer. So stay tuned for that review (though hopefully it won't be for a while!)
Description of Work: I can't (yet) provide a review of Art's skill as a dryer repair person, but I can provide something even more valuable: a review of his honesty and integrity. I phoned him because my dryer was not working properly. He told me that before he charged me to come to my house, there were a few troubleshooting things I could do on my own, including cleaning the dryer vents. A couple of YouTube videos later, my dryer was back in business. He could easily have charged me the cost of a service call and his time to do what I was able to do for myself.

We were to understand that he worked us into his schedule for the day. He is a very nice older gentleman. It really was a pleasure to have him there.

Description of Work: My washing machine was not functioning properly. (was only getting HOT water, not cold - therefore the rinse cycle would not run) Apparently it was in need of some kind of "valve" that was broken. I called on Thursday afternoon, they said they'd send someone out the next day. I mentioned that I work nightshifts, and would be home at 8am - and please call before coming so I would be sure to be awake. By 8:30am a gentleman called, and asked when I would be going to bed. (lol. kind of a funny question , but I understood). He said he could be there between 9 and 9:30am. I told him that would be great. ANd he was very punctual - arrived by 9:15am. I do not know the gentleman's name, but he was very polite and courteous. He went right to work, figured out which valve would need replaced - didn't have the EXACT valve from my washing machine, but he also said the valve that was on there was quite costly, about $80 itself, and since my washing machine is not ultra fancy, he could easily use a less expensive valve and it should work just fine. So he had a valve in his truck that cost more like $30 , and within minutes he had it replaced and working! I was impressed by how quick and efficient he was. ANd he was very very pleasant and nice - well dressed (professionally ) - I remember thinking how shiny his shoes were when he does such dusty work all day! I don't remember his name - but I was very pleased wtih his work and would definitely use this company again if I needed help in the future.

+ -1 moreWe called Art's Washer and Dryer to repair our washing machine. He answered our call promptly, showed up the next day and repaired the washing machine in less than a half an hour. He replaced a hot water valve and the machine worked perfectly again. The total bill came to $79.80. The price was very fair, he was knowledgeable and we would use him again.
Description of Work: Our Maytag washing machine hot water would not turn on . Only the cold water was available to wash clothes.

They were very helpful, honest, and reasonable. The quality of their work is excellent. It’s been a month since they came and the washer is working fine. They were here exactly when they said they will be here and they gave me a call prior to coming. They even told me what to do if I have the same problem in the future.
Description of Work: We used Arts Washer & Dryer a month ago for appliance repair. My washer had quit spinning and he just had to do some servicing. He took about 45 minutes to finish the work.

Description of Work: My washer was not agitating. Called made an appointment for the following day. Do to my schedule, had to reschedule the previously agreed upon time, EXTREMELY accomidating and understanding. Arrived promptly, even though my machine was only 2 1/2 yrs old, he explained not worth repairing. Explained why. He put my faith back in "honest" repair people!!! Highly recommend--can't say enough positive things!! Wonderful is an under statement.

+ -1 moreArts Washer and Dryer is so responsive. We called in the morning and the man came later that same day. He knew right away what was wrong. When I saw the bill, I almost fell out of my chair, it was so low. This is a very good company.
Description of Work: We had him come when our washing machine wouldn't drain the water out. It turned out to be a bad switch which he replaced.
