DeckPro Surface Solutions is a family owned business that started in 1996. We continually refine our methods to ensure we are using best practices in terms of safety and quality. We specialize in deck construction, deck repair, deck maintenance (washing and staining), wood restoration, as well as the cleaning of concrete surfaces. In addition to being licensed and insured, we hire and train our employees to become part of a company culture focused on the customer experience. We typically request a 50% deposit to schedule a project, then email an invoice for the balance upon project completion. We accept payment by credit card, check, and/or cash. We place high importance on communicating effectively and developing relationships with our customers, incorporating feedback into our work and our company policies.

As you know from our private conversations, and the good faith effort to rectify the problem, we take quality control seriously and the issue here is not an exception. In addition to visiting the job site on more than one occasion to see what could be done, we sent a refund check and terminated the employment of the individual who created the problem with your siding. DeckPro has accepted responsibility for this rare problem, issued a refund check, and apologized that you have not had the same excellent experience as thousands of our other customers."

Just to address the issue of responsiveness raised in this review, DeckPro was first contacted midday on August 18 and rendered services on the morning of August 22. I am happy to hear that the "actual work was excellent" -- this is what we expect from the team. We anticipated being there at 9:00am but circumstances had it that we arrived at 9:45. Of course we apologized for the inconvenience, but in fairness, this does not warrant a "D" grade, especially since we were accommodating a very short timetable and narrow window of time options so that the customer could be home while we worked."

Immediately after your concerns were expressed, we returned to address each issue you raised. In addition to placing the furniture back on your deck (we couldn't do that when the deck was still wet with stain), we took responsibility for the overspray issue and agreed to pay for your car wash. The, as part of our company policy to guarantee customer satisfaction, we called on August 2 to arrange a walk-through, but unfortunately [member name removed] was unavailable due to health issues. Despite our responsiveness and consistent attempts to address your concerns, I was surprised to find your review posted on Angie's List on August 5. As I told [member name removed] on the phone a few minutes ago, we will be returning on Friday morning to do the walk-through and address your concerns point by point.
