Since 1981, E&E Chimney Sweeps has served southeastern Pennsylvania and central New Jersey with complete hearth and chimney services. We’re proud of our reputation for quality workmanship, highly trained technicians and a level of personal service you expect to receive from a family owned and operated business. We were happy to help you decide on the product that would work best for you. Regarding the plumber, it is true that our contacts here in Pennsylvania are not licensed to work in New Jersey. We are working on connecting with a reliable company who we can recommend for these installations. However, at this point, for our New Jersey customers, we would prefer that our customers contact a licensed plumber trusted by their friends and family rather than refer someone we do not know. He swept the chimney, which I can only assume he did well. I cannot see up the flue, so I have no way of knowing. There was no mess and he took less than 30 minutes. He gave me some good information about my fireplace and factors that contribute to creosote build up. Overall, I was pleased with the work, but not with their punctuality. The CSR on the phone was cordial but did not apologize when I called about him being late. That would have helped their ratings.

We continually strive to maintain the high standards that our customers have come to expect and it is very disappointing to us as a family company when we fall short of our own expectations, nevermind that of the customer. That being said, we do apologize that the time frame of your appointment was not properly conveyed when you scheduled your appointment. You were the first appointment, which in Warrington would have been between 9:00 and 10:00. Our technicians still arrived 10 minutes late and for that we are sorry. Traditionally, this time of year tends to be our busiest and yes, our customers do sometimes wait up to 6 weeks for an appointment. However, this year has been especially difficult. Since the beginning of December, one of our main technicians/installers has been out with an injury unrelated to work. This has resulted in the hectic shuffling of appointments and some controlled chaos. Again, thank you for your review and have a Happy and Healthy New Year."

It took about 2 weeks to get the chase cover fabricated to fit the chimney. An installation date was set and they arrived on time to remove the old chase cover and install the new one. And it looks great!
Special note: During the interval between the estimate and the installation, the fireplace developed a leak that I am sure was due to disturbing the 26 year rust build up on the existing termination cap, which was removed to get a measurement. I placed a call to Karen at E and E, and in less than 2 hours, they had someone out to tarp the fireplace! I truly appreciated that quick response.

We telephoned the number we have recorded and when we got no response, we sent the crew to your home anyway. At 10:59 am, our technicians knocked on your door, and upon not receiving a response, left a card saying that they were there and to call the office to reschedule. If you would still like to reschedule, we would be happy to do that for you."

appt about 2 weeks prior over the phone and was given a four hour window. As I work nearby I asked if they could call me 30-45 mins prior to arrival so I could get home from work and let them in.
Today Xavier called 30-45 mins before he arrived as arranged and upon his arrival was very courteous and professional. He checked out the chimney inside and out, cleaned it and gave me some advice on an old ash tray at the back of the fireplace.
No mess or dirt left afterwards and I'd happily recommend E and E and will use them again in the future.

"Wow, we're sorry, but we have no record of you being on our schedule for December 12th. We did not find you on our schedule for December 15th. You must have us confused with someone else. (Besides we have never had a $10 coupon). That being said, December is a very busy time of year as it is in the middle of the heating season. On a daily basis, we receive many emergency calls. When a customer has no heat or hot water, that call takes priority. There is no way to anticipate how many emergencies we are going to have on any given day. Consequently, during that time of year our technicians work well into the dinner hours and sometimes beyond. If we say we are going to be at a home, we will be at a home even if it is 7:00 PM. The only reason we would not show up for an appointment is if a customer cancels. Finally, the technicians at E & E Chimney Sweeps have all of the major industry certifications. E & E has the best reputation, not only in the area, but throughout the state."
Harris Comfort the HVAC company who was to install the boiler recommended E & E Chimney sweeps.
I called E&E they set an appointment, which they were on time for, performed a thorough inspection of the flues and emailed me a proposal the next day.
In approx. three weeks they had the fabnrication done and installed it all and cleaned the flues to my very complete satisfaction.
A very professional company from taking the initial call, through the sales process to final completion.
