Emilio got back to me in minutes and every time I reached out with a question via email. Set up an appointment for estimate quickly. He explained which boards needed to be replaced. Did a nice job. Price was very fair. Very nice to work with.

Sciortino and Sons Hardwood Flooring did a great job. The boss personally came out, preformed a quote, and got to work all within less than a few days. Installation of laminate flooring fast and was very professional all the way through completion. I definitely recommend this company for future projects. Five out of five stars!

The work went well from beginning to end. Emilio contacted us right away to set up a meeting for an estimate. The estimate was a fair price, and Emilio took the time to explain everything from pricing to possible problems (which did not occur). They refinished the floors in three rooms of our house and applied a clear sealant. The floors are beautiful and the house was left in excellent order -- pretty much dust free and clean. I would hire Sciortino again, and I recommend them highly.

Sciortino and sons did a fantastic job. Job proceeded exactly on time, as promised. Owner was always in contact as needed. Finished floor looks amazing. Repairs on cracks were done. Furniture was moved (part of contract) in a careful way. Crew even used vacuum and wiped around baseboards before furniture was replaced. I recommend this company strongly and would gladly use it again!

The contractor gave me an estimate for the job and I paid him $2700 down. He started the job at the end of July 2022, but had to wait several days because he did not order enough material. When he finished the job at the end of July 2022 I paid him the balance due, After 6-8 weeks the planks came apart in several locations in the living room. I tried contacting him but it took 6 weeks of unanswered phone calls and e-mails before he responded. He finally came to the house, looked at the problem and sait it was an easy fix and he would take care of it soon as he had other work scheduled in the area and would do the repairs as soon as possible. That was the last time I saw or heard from him. I have been trying to call his office phone and mobile phone and sending e-mails but he has not answered any requests since before Thanksgiving 2022. I have hired another flooring installer an estimate is attached. It seems that Sciortino used the wrong color transions, put the basement stiars nose on wrong, did not allow for expansion at the fireplace, used no moldings at fireplace, and my have used to nuch force when installing vinyl planks as several other planks are damaged in the hallway.

"This is true and I did contact him after i saw his concern I told him I like to come out when we are in the area and I would not forget him I then was in the hospital for more than a week with pancreatitis and diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease by the time i was up and able to work he was upset and got a different contractor I call him right away and told him i cold be there in a few days and he told me hi did not want me in his home Not my fault at this point I( did know why he had a concern with his floor I did not want to hurt his feelings it was his sons wheel chair that pulled the lock and fold floor apart so the other contractor charged him 1900.00 to fix two planks and it would take 30 minutes to fix I am truly sorry this happen and still would go to fix the planks and any other concerns he has I understand why hie reacted this way even till this day I wish he would return the deposit to the other contractor an let us repair the two planks and any other concerns he has even though I am sick and cant do what I once could I want to make this right for him In the beginning of our first meeting he was kind and understanding I even gave him discounts that I don't give to many customers I wish he would think about my offer to do the repair If I had to crawl on the floor to do it I would I am so sorry it has came to this It is not how I work and have been good to all of my customers"

It went very well both times - pricing was fair, they came on schedule, were courteous, the work quality is great, and they cleaned up. Very nice and professional people. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for any other flooring needs.

Terrible. Sciortino is completely unprofessional. I contracted him to install wood floor in the kitchen, stain and apply oil based topcoat to match existing floors in the house. He subcontracted the work, the installers then put water based topcoat down which did not match the existing oil. They they put oil down on top of the water to try to fix which did not look better. I then payed the installers more to sand down and reapply topcoat to the new floors as well as the existing floors that were in the same room in an effort to make them appear seamless. This did not help. The topcoat on all the new floors appears to be peeling or not adhering in all seams, joints and ends. The existing floors do not have this issue. Sciortino only came to my home to get paid. I asked pay with a credit card and he said he could not accept credit cards because customers were stopping payment on jobs for no reason. I see why customers were doing this. I have been calling him since October 4 months to have him come out to look at the floor and fix it. I would say he is completely unresponsive except he returned my calls one time and when I said he had been evasive he blamed me and then told me he had been in the hospital so “stuff happens” as he put it. Perhaps stuff does happen however 4 months and no resolution is beyond stuff and he is completely unprofessional. There are far too many options out there to have floors done than to risk going with Sciortino.

"This is not true and we tried to help We did exactly what was requested we even applied a extra topcoat of the finish that was asked for In the start of the job we told the customer the the finish is not going to match the rest of the rooms that met the room that was being done with all of the additional coating the client was talking about sanding the rest of the rooms to make it match and I was not going to re-sand the rooms when I explained this to the husband and the wife it the one making complaints when she was not there when I explained all of this when i first met the husband and he said I don't want to do the other room since they were just done and it should match fine with 35 years doing this I know it was going to be a problem I wish people would listen"

Finding a Hardwood Flooring expert is challenging. As a potential DIY job, there are lots of options in terms of contractors. We found S & S via a few web sources. From our first phone call we were impressed. The organization was responsive and professional. They provided examples of their work and were willing to come to our new home and throughly inspect the flooring before committing to their work. They set clear expectation and met or exceeded those expectations. They did an amazing job on our 100 year old wood floors. This family owned business charges a fair price and is VERY FLEXIBLE with their payment options pending you are a reasonable client. They completed the work with high quality and on-schedule which was very important for us. They took the time to protect our home and our property while they worked in our home. They redid the floors in our 2000 square-foot home and they came out amazing. We could not be happier with the services provided, the professionalism and the results from S & S Hardwood Flooring. We were in the middle of home renovations which called for new hardwood flooring in the kitchen area. The hardwood flooring company that our contractor wanted to use was horrible so I called upon Emilio Sciortino at the last minute and he was so accommodating! We had used Emilio in the past to refinish the hardwood floors in our living room and everything turned out great! Despite the last minute notice during this recent project, Emilio and his crew got us scheduled quickly and did a wonderful job! They were also more than willing to come out to correct a few things to make it just right! If you have hardwood flooring needs I would not hesitate to contact Emilio Sciortino. We will be contacting them again for additional flooring needs in our home.

Emilio was superb... he provided several estimates based on my wife and I continuing to change our minds on what we needed done. Emilio always presented a positive and helpful attitude. he answered all the questions faster than expected. There must have been about 40 emails back and forth with him. The work was incredible. the house has 6 rooms that needed re-finishing, 2 of those had carpet installed. All floors look brand new.... REALLY impressive service.

The project was completed to my expectations and looks great! Daniel was helpful and courteous. He answered all my questions and guided me in the best solution for my needs (vinyl vs laminate). I am so happy with the results that I have hired them again for another project or ripping out carpet and installing vinyl throughout three rooms and closets. Highly recommend!
