I hired this company through Thumbtack about 2 years ago, to replace old basement stairs. He said he was qualified to perform the job, and did similar projects all the time. Terrible experience: - difficult to track down and actually get him to start the job, after we came to agreement - work was terrible quality - didn't get required permits for job - work was not up to code so I ended up having to redo 50% of the job - never added newel post or bottom step - messy, just left the old stairs in my driveway and I had to dispose of myself
