"March 5, 2015 Mr. [member name removed], although I normally do not respond directly to negative reviews (we’ve never had one), I have chosen to address this personally. First of all, thank you for your order and your desire to support a family-owned American company and green manufacturing. I am sorry that you are experiencing problems with your room. Seaway takes great pride in our products and workmanship, and is committed to supplying some of the industry’s highest quality remodeling products. The satisfaction of every homeowner who installs one of our products is very important to us. We have a 56 year history of producing products of the highest quality, and have very robust product warranties in place to support that. It certainly appears that your product was not installed correctly, per the photos you sent to us showing severe water infiltration into the room. This has not only caused subsequent damage, it continues to put the materials at risk for additional damage or degradation over time. This is not a product defect, but an installation problem. We warranty the product, which we manufacture and over which we have control, not the installation, which is not provided by Seaway and thus is beyond our control. Our product warranty specifies the remedies available for a product warranty claim. Because of our concern for your satisfaction and our reputation, we have consistently gone beyond the terms of our warranty to help you correct the problem. Several years ago, we sent two of our employees to repair your sunroom at no cost to you. We provided materials as promised under our warranty, but in addition provided shipping and installation, which are not covered under the warranty. The problem with the initial installation can be mitigated, but not completely corrected unless the room is disassembled and reinstalled correctly. We have had many conversations on the phone wherein I have offered to continue exceeding our warranty policies by covering additional costs specifically excluded in our warranty, specifically getting the materials to you and paying a reasonable sum to a qualified contractor to perform the work required to satisfy your complaint. I have made every attempt to treat you fairly and with the utmost respect to resolve your situation, yet you have failed to respond to me directly. We have proven our willingness to work with you far in excess of our warranty obligations as a manufacturer, and I am disappointed that you do not recognize the good faith effort we have made to satisfy you. Your complaint is with your contractor, not with Seaway. I am very concerned that you refuse to accept our extremely generous offer of remedy for your situation and insist on pursuing an argumentative position in the public domain.
