The process was smooth and hassle free -We requested a quote for a treated lumber deck for our above ground pool.  My husband had drawn roughly what we were interested in, and when Doug came to the house he reviewed it step by step with us.  He went over which materials he would suggest and gave a range of options to choose from depending on our preference and budget, as well as explaining the process and answering all our questions.  He was very polite, knowledgeable and professional, and I would recommend him to anyone for their home remodeling needs. We did choose to wait on our project for the time being, but will certainly be calling DBC for our future remodeling needs!

After having hired DBC to redo our front steps, I had no doubt that I would hire them again to do our deck. From the moment of introduction, Doug and his crew were friendly, professional, and respectful. His discussion regarding materials and estimates for our project was thorough and honest. He and his crew worked tirelessly, even in harsh weather, on this project and had it completed faster than I thought someone could, while being very precise with measurement, placement, and structural integrity, and with concern for aesthetics. They remained non-invasive throughout the whole project, yet were friendly and engaged when approached, and offered feedback about progress, etc.
I cannot have asked for a better company and will call them first for ANY project we consider in the future.

Crew showed up each morning 8am worked until 4:30, rain and shine. Whole crew was polite and professional.
Work completed in 2 weeks. After the deck was completed crew cleaned up yard and removed all waste materials.
I requested one design change after framing completed, change took 4 hours no additional cost.

Doug and his crew showed up on time everyday and left the work site clean every day (even though the work wasn't finished.) They worked on the deck for 3 days, and then returned a few weeks later to put on the railings. The railings were delivered late (Timbertek's fault) because they were special-ordered and were behind in their shipments. Doug and his crew are very professional and pleasant. The finished deck is beautiful!

Doug Bierer and his crew were extremely professional, punctual, and wonderful to work with. He responded immediately to our inquiries, was punctual each meeting, neat with his carpentry supplies and clean-up, and was very friendly and flexible to work with. Our new porch railings look beautiful, and it only took DBC Remodeling roughly only a little over 1 work day to complete the job from start to finish. We will DEFINITELY be calling Doug for any future projects that we might have, and highly recommend him to anyone!

Doug was very knowledgeable and told me, honestly, that my best bet would be to go with a concrete company to pour a new patio rather than have him build a deck. I truly appreciated his candor and was impressed by his expertise and professionalism. I ultimately ended up taking his advice and going with a concrete company, but I plan to keep DBC in mind for future home projects (and I already recommended DBC to several friends who are considering home projects).

This was a minor basement bathroom remodeling project using the existing bath fixtures. The work consisted of new walls, ceiling and flooring. The workmen were skilled, friendly and professional. The job fully met my expectations.

They replaced old railings and ceiling on our back porch with composite wood. They worked in the rain and cold. it went very well and we are very pleased with the results.

I called Doug a few months back . I had to leave a message but he called me right back the next day and was out within the week to give me an estimate. He was one of a very few who wanted to be bothered for a small job. He was a little bit higher priced than a few others but when I saw how professional is estimate was and after checking out his website and work, I felt he was the man for the job. ,

My old rotting deck and railing were removed and replaced with all new materials. Work was done promptly and in a highly professional manner. Work site was always left neat and clean.

The Construction of our New Deck and Repair of our esisting Storage Shed Began on Monday Aug.13,2012 continued to Aug.17,2012.They Hand level the ground dug holes for supporting post 6 , pour concrete in dug out holes for support beams. Let the cement dry over night .We gave them permission to leave there construction trailer with there tools and trailer for old wood and used wood ,old porch wood, and roof shingles etc. to be left for the week of the work being done .Started Construction of Deck on Tuesday Aug. 14,2012 . Wed. Aug15, 2012 finished 2 sets of steps and laid weed free plastic under deck, also started repair of storage shed removed old shingles and old doors and all rooted wood from shed, laid the floor of Deck 3/4 done. On Aug16,2012 finished floor of deck and worked on repair of shed ,replaced 3 sides of wood sided (painted ahead on FridayAug.10,2012) assembled the 3 newly painted sides of storage shed and Painted Back( We chose a color for our shed to be painted)in which was assembled on Aug.16,17,2012 On Aug.17,2012 finished up on storage shed and completed all construction of our NEW DECK and REPAIR OF STORAGE SHED . We are very ,very Happy,Pleased, with The Excellent Work and Construction of our New Deck and Repair Of Storage Shed. He finished a porch railing and trim pieces on the porch. He put in a programmable thermostat for me, he fixed the siding by the back door, and he made a hand rail by the steps at the back door. He put in a blind in the garage to separate the garage stalls. He laid some floor boards in the attic. He redirected the water that flowed from the down spout.

1) Our roof shingles were getting old and had strange mold stains on them. We contacted Doug Bierer and he gave us an estimate that was reasonable. He presented several options of styles and we chose the architectural style. He showed up with two other workers and completed the job within 3 days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the area around the house... it was nice to not have our house looking like a messy construction site.

2) Doug replaced the old siding on the front of our house to match an extension we had put on the side.

3) We had Doug also replace our kitchen floor. He and his partner ripped up the old linoleum flooring and put down the new laminate flooring in one day. They expected to be done by 5, but ended up staying until 8:30 to get the job done. Again, he left the kitchen in clean condition. When some air bubbles appeared in the flooring, I called him and he returned within the week to fix the floor.

I was extremely impressed with his honesty, professionalism and high quality of workmanship. I've been recommending him to all of my friends!
