Contacted Katy regarding noise coming from the rear of my 2010 Chrysler Town & Country that I feared was a transmission. Since the van has 270k miles I didn’t want to spend a lot on it, but as it has been extremely reliable and is in good shape I wanted to give it a shot. Katy began looking for a used transmission immediately and they got me in right away. Once the diagnostic was done, Katy was possibly more excited than I was to find that it was a seizing hub and not the transmission. The heat had also caused damage to the brakes. The information Katy provided and professionalism was great.

The work was completed faster than expected and was half the price of other estimates. Katy is pleasant to deal with and explains things so it is understandable.

Terrible business person. I scheduled to bring my van in for air conditioning repair. When I brought it in to drop it off, he looked me up in the computer and noticed I had not been there in 4 years. I said we hadn't had problems with. He asked about oil changes and state inspections. I told him we had a service plan with the dealership and get free inspections. After that he decides he doesn't like to work on air conditioning and says he respectfully decline to work on my car. It's okay with me this is America and there are plenty of hard working mechanics who would love to spend my money. By far one of the strangest and out of the blue business experiences that I've ever had. Word to the owner--you aren't entitled to my business. If you're upset that you didn't get it for the past 4 years maybe ask me how you can earn it or I don't know-- make the least bit of effort to establish a business relationship. He knew it was there for air conditioning when I spoke to him on the phone the previous day. The owner apparently believes I have owed him my business for the last 4 years and rather than take the opportunity to gain it now that I was there to give it to him he behaves in a completely rude unreasonable and unprofessional manner.

Kreitzer Automotive Services are knowledgeable, efficient and reasonably priced and most important honest. My husband and I have gone there for all our automotive needs for the last 6 years. Never disappointed. They take the time to thoroughly check your car and anticipate any future issues regarding your vehicle. We recommend them to everyone. They took care of our yearly inspection and we had forgotten to request that service, they anticipate your needs. Honesty and efficiency, can't beat them for that and more.

Kreitzer's Automotive is the best and only place I take my car. I went there last week to check my vehicle since the check engine light was on. This is my only vehicle and I was planning on traveling for the weekend so it was necessary it was working properly. After I called them they immediately told me to come in and were able to look at the car right away. It was a transmission issue so they needed some time to look at it to evaluate what was the issue. They even gave me a loaner vehicle free of charge so I could pick up my children on time just in case my car wasn't finished. Luckily it was a minor issue so they were able to finish by early afternoon so I was able to travel safely! Every time I've been there they have been very professional, always explain exactly what they will need to do the car and provide me quotes and they never try to up sale you or add unnecessary work. This is the only place I trust for my auto care!

Finding parts for an old truck can be problematic. They were able to rebuild the carburetor and although it took a little while to find a tank they were careful to make sure it wasn't defective before installation. Truck runs fine.

Last year I took my car to Kreitzer's for the yearly inspection and they were so accommodating (fit me in the day I called) and professional that I couldn't help, but go back this year. My engine light was on and the team worked very hard and spent time to figure out what the cause was without installing something that "might" have fixed it. In addition, my car needed 4 new tires. Katy knew my daughter was at home and had to be at work by 2 so she recommended a tire and had it rushed from Harrisburg. She drove me home so I could get everything taken care of and then picked my daughter and I up, took us back to Kreitzer's and had us on our way. And yes...we made it to work on time. I was so impressed with all the "little" things that happened that day that I would recommend Kreitzer's Automotive Service to anyone!

I got the 60 K mile service from this shop. During the service transmission fluid was refilled.Recently I experienced issue related to acceleration. My car was going to safe / limp mode when I drove it for long distance. It was not accelerating beyond 60-62 miles /hr. I was on the fast / left lane when this happened. I got it diagnosed with Nissan dealer. The dealer said the transmission fluid in my car is of wrong color and is not suitable. I contacted Kreitzer's and asked to compensate for diagnoses and fluid change. They refused saying they refilled approved NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2. But later when I sent the Nissan dealers diagnoses report Kreitzer's are not responding at all. During the service my air filter clips were missing. Clips costs around $10. They just mentioned it in the invoice that clips are missing and didn't replace and said it can be done during next service. Also I asked them to rotate this tires. They said best tires are at front so they didn't replace. They were not able to fix a noise issue and just said it might be a pebble in the wheel which they will look during next service. This was their service after paying them around $530. Overall my experience with the service and now with the issue resolution is very bad.

They are friendly. They offered a free loner car. The prices are a little bit higher than others in the area.

The Kreitzer's people (Jim and Katie) are the high level professionals and customer friendly people. I had a terrible noise from front passage wheel. I didn?t know what it is. When I call to Kreitzer?s and talked to Jim, he immediately identified the problem and said: it?s caliper failure and probably brakes need to be replaced. I got the appointment on the next day. Katie explained me in details the problem with brakes and a few options what I have. After 1.5 hour my brakes were fixed. Katie and team I want thank you for your professionalism and the excellent service I received from you.

I have gone to this company second time, because I knew they are high level professionals. Jim and Katie are always friendly and reliable. Jim fully explained all details to me about my problem (my check-engine light was on and car failed on inspection with P0420 code) and what kind options I have. I dropped my car at 1 pm. on Tuesday 08/18/2015. They made a diagnostic, fixed the problem and car passed the inspection. At 4:20pm I got a call that I can take my car back. It is fast, professional and courteous service. Thank you Jim and Katie.

My van's radiator blew the other day during work. I called several shops in Carlisle where I broke down before calling Kreitzer. Kreitzer offered two services that were one of a kind. First, they expedited my emergency. The other shops would not even look at it until several days later. Secondly, they offered a loaner car while mine was worked on keeping me from missing work and all they asked was that I filled up the car. The van was in the shop for less than 48 hours. The radiator is beautiful and I think that they even shined up the other cases. I feel like they really went the extra mile. The other thing about this visit was that they said I would need a new water pump in the initial quote. (By the Way they call you before they do extra work and don't hit you on the back end with unapproved services.) The quote I got to replace hoses that were already being removed and to do the water pump was an additional $500.00 dollars. I called the auto parts store and they sold me the water pump, a routing belt, antifreeze and adhesive for $100. I have to wonder why it would cost an additional $400.00 dollars in labor and we did not include the routing belt in their quote. I called for a quote elsewhere and they were about $150 less but that shop also did not provide a loaner nor would they have expedited the service, nor were they cheaper on a radiator. Either way I did not have the thousand-fifty they wanted for the entire job and can only hope to later have my water pump installed. Overall, this was a great experience, I just wished that the water pump could have been included for far less than $500. The staff is friendly, they explain everything they are doing and they value your business.

The people (Jim and Katie) were the most customer-friendly and genuine people I have met in a long time... THEN you see their professionalism and desire to satisfy you in a way that I would say is EXCEPTIONAL and RARE. I have already set up another appointment and followup on brakes!! The place doesn't look like much BUT the people working their are the BEST!

Awful. Rude. Also very expensive for just an inspection. They told my son what he needs to get done which is fine, but $46 without doing anything but looking at the car?

What an awesome garage! Rare find these days. I thought I had a rear main seal leak. The Kreitzer team found a leak, but it wasn't a rear main seal and it was a much cheaper fix, like 600 dollars cheaper. This is the only place I will take my cars in PA. Thank you Kreitzer team!

Awesome! Kreitzers kept my suburban for two days looking for the leak. When they realized it was residual, they returned my car at no charge. What a great shop!

Fast, professional and courteous service is the hallmark of excellent customer service and you will find all three at Kreitzer. My car battery did not hold a charge. I "jump started" my car one morning and thought I had solved the problem, however, the next morning the battery was again "dead." What should I do ? - call the car dealership - search the Yellow Pages - call AAA . No, lets try Angies List. I had been pleased with the service from other Angies List recommendations, why not try auto service. Kreitzer was listed with an A rating and located near my home in Camp Hill. I called them at 3:00pm - explained my situation and was told to bring the car in at 3:30pm - THAT'S SERVICE. I "jump started" my car again and drove to Kreitzer. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Katie, who said, you are here about your car battery, I will test the battery and let you know what's going on. The warm welcome from Katie and their dog (smile) demonstrated excellent COURTESY SERVICE. In LESS THAN 30 MINUTES (1) my battery had been tested (2) Katie reviewed with me the test report. (battery needed to be replaced) (3) told me what options I had on a replacement battery, (4) installed a new battery and (5) paid my bill - that 's what I call PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. I probably could have gotten a cheaper battery at another location, however, I know the service, product and professionalism would not have been of the same high quality. Thanks Kreitzer for turning my "bad" day into a "good one."

Based upon other reviews on Angie's List, I chose Kreitzer's Automotive Service to have my car inspected. I called mid-day and was able to get an appointment scheduled for 9am the next morning. I dropped my car off and was called back 3 hours later. Katie explained to me why the ABS light on my dashboard had come on. They didn't have the part in stock, but could order it and have it delivered to the shop before noon the next day. I declined the offer because I had to have my car back that evening. (Loaner cars are available here, but when I had scheduled my appointment they were already in use by other customers). When I picked up my vehicle, Katie took the time to explain to me in person what was causing the ABS light to be lit on my dashboard. I'm a visual learner, so she drew me a picture. I really appreciated that! She also provided me with an estimate of the repairs for the ABS light. It was a very reasonable cost and I only need to provide them with 1 days notice (so they can ensure the needed part is in stock). Overall, I had a great experience and was glad to have found this place through the other reviews here on Angie's List. I will be taking my car here for any needed services in the future. I've also been recommending them to my friends and family.

I loved getting the notification that it was time for my annual inspection! I received up front estimates for all work, and the estimates were accurate. The work was done as scheduled. Communication was excellent. Easy drop-off and pick-up. Competitive pricing. There is nothing not to like!

I had just gotten my car back from them for another problem and the low coolant light came on twice. I called and let them know and took my car in that afternoon. They checked the coolant overflow, pressure tested the radiator and found no reason for the light to come on. They topped off the coolant and called to let me know what they found. I was charged nothing and had the car back in 2 1/2 hours. They told me if the light came on again to bring it back. The light has not come on since.

I have a natural distrust of mechanics. After all I have been robbed so many times that I hesitate going to them. I would prefer to do it on my own before allowing some money grabbing mechanic to touch my vehicle. I received a warning from the local police department for not having my vehicle inspected. I told you I disliked mechanics :-) So this time I was force to see someone. I thought about going to the big name places, but decided to look on Angie's list instead. I'm glad I found Kreitzer. On the last day of the warning notice, I called and they managed to squeeze me in for the inspection, which I was fortunate because they seem to have a lot of customers. The customer service was great. They allowed me to pet down a couple cats and dogs on the property. They offered me a free vehicle loaner, which I declined and took a walk. The inspections came back as PASSED and they rotated my tires for FREE this time.. Oh my. I mean, I showed up in a suit/tie, and probably had desperate sucker written on my forward. Mentally I was prepared for them to tell me a couple things, but these people were actually honest. Imagine that?! I been told once you find a good mechanic you stick with them. So I am no longer going to change my own oil, brakes etc. My wife is no longer going to yell at me for greasing up the garage and taking 5 hrs. for a 30 minute job :-) I am going to Kreitzer.
