Family owned & operated, we are also the Angie's List award winner 8 years in a row for auto service and auto inspections. Have been in business since 1980. All of our technicians and staff are ASE certified, and some are also brand specific certified. We do ALL repairs except upholstery and convertible tops on all makes & models of vehicles. home and had to be at work by 2 so she recommended a tire and had it rushed from Harrisburg. She drove me home so I could get everything taken care of and then picked my daughter and I up, took us back to Kreitzer's and had us on our way. And yes...we made it to work on time. I was so impressed with all the "little" things that happened that day that I would recommend Kreitzer's Automotive Service to anyone!

I got the 60 K mile service from this shop. During the service transmission fluid was refilled.Recently I experienced issue related to acceleration. My car was going to safe / limp mode when I drove it for long distance. It was not accelerating beyond 60-62 miles /hr. I was on the fast / left lane when this happened.
I got it diagnosed with Nissan dealer. The dealer said the transmission fluid in my car is of wrong color and is not suitable. I contacted Kreitzer's and asked to compensate for diagnoses and fluid change. They refused saying they refilled approved NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2. But later when I sent the Nissan dealers diagnoses report Kreitzer's are not responding at all.
During the service my air filter clips were missing. Clips costs around $10. They just mentioned it in the invoice that clips are missing and didn't replace and said it can be done during next service. Also I asked them to rotate this tires. They said best tires are at front so they didn't replace. They were not able to fix a noise issue and just said it might be a pebble in the wheel which they will look during next service. This was their service after paying them around $530.
Overall my experience with the service and now with the issue resolution is very bad.
"Your complaint with the Better Business Bureau has cleared us of any wrongdoing as we had documentation to prove that the approved NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2 and all of the proper steps were followed during teh service of your vehicle. The RE0F10A CVT transmission that Nissan uses is known for having a high failure rate. The air cleaner clips were missing and there was a note made on your invoice about them - they were not in stock at the Nissan dealer and unavailable until 2 days later. Had you have gone to the dealer, they would have told you the same exact thing. Our employee drove a loaner car from our facility, dropped it off at your place of employment, drove your car to our facility, performed the service, drove your car back to your place of employment and picked up the loaner car all on their own time and as a service to you. We apologize that you had these issues after being at our facility but we still 100% stand by the work performed and as I have stated above, we cooperated fully with you and the BBB and we are absolved from any wrong doing."

"Thank you for your review! You actually paid $98.02, not the $75.00 you wrote down. This was for emissions, state inspection and an oil change. You also asked us to perform a tire rotation, but we didn't recommend doing that as you had an alignment issue and could really use some tires and we didn't charge for that. We gave you some prices on rectifying that. We hope you got that taken care of!"
I had a terrible noise from front passage wheel. I didn?t know what it is. When I call to Kreitzer?s
and talked to Jim, he immediately identified the problem and said: it?s caliper failure and probably brakes need to be replaced.
I got the appointment on the next day. Katie explained me in details the problem with brakes and a few options
what I have. After 1.5 hour my brakes were fixed. Katie and team I want thank you for your professionalism and the excellent service I received from you.

Jim and Katie are always friendly and reliable. Jim fully explained all details to me about my
problem (my check-engine light was on and car failed on inspection with P0420
code) and what kind options I have. I dropped my car at 1 pm. on Tuesday 08/18/2015.
They made a diagnostic, fixed the problem and car passed the inspection.
At 4:20pm I got a call that I can take my car back.
It is fast, professional and courteous service. Thank you Jim and Katie.

The other thing about this visit was that they said I would need a new water pump in the initial quote. (By the Way they call you before they do extra work and don't hit you on the back end with unapproved services.) The quote I got to replace hoses that were already being removed and to do the water pump was an additional $500.00 dollars. I called the auto parts store and they sold me the water pump, a routing belt, antifreeze and adhesive for $100. I have to wonder why it would cost an additional $400.00 dollars in labor and we did not include the routing belt in their quote. I called for a quote elsewhere and they were about $150 less but that shop also did not provide a loaner nor would they have expedited the service, nor were they cheaper on a radiator. Either way I did not have the thousand-fifty they wanted for the entire job and can only hope to later have my water pump installed.
Overall, this was a great experience, I just wished that the water pump could have been included for far less than $500. The staff is friendly, they explain everything they are doing and they value your business.

"[Member name removed], I don't know what your son told you, or if you have an ulterior motive for this review TWO YEARS AFTER THE FACT but nothing is further from the truth. I myself, the owner of the business waited on your son & spoke to you later on the phone. Your son and you were treated with the utmost respect at all times, that's the way we treat everyone. Here are the facts. You did NOT just get an inspection. You received a Perry County visual emission test for $13.00 and a Pennsylvania State inspection (listed on our sign as Pass or Fail $25.00) plus $5.00 sticker fee & tax on all. Your sons vehicle didn't pass state inspection because his windshield washers didn't work. He was given an estimate for parts & labor to repair the vehicle & was told that if he was able to do the repairs himself he could do so and he paid and left. You after talking to your son called SCREAMING saying that we were MORONS and you lived in perry county and didn't need an emission test and we charged you unjustly. I tried to inform you that if you take your vehicle to a garage in perry county for inspection, you will NOT be charged the emission test fee. If you take your vehicle to a repair shop in a different county than Perry County we MUST BY LAW verify all emission components on your vehicle and that their is indeed a fee of $13.00 plus tax. You were not happy with my answer. I informed you that you had already paid for the inspection, and when the windshield washers were repaired that your son could stop by the garage and all we had to do was verify that the washers indeed did work and we would issue him his inspection sticker at no additional cost. It would only take about ten minutes for paperwork. No one ever brought the vehicle back to us for the inspection sticker so I assume you went someplace else to get your sticker and paid the state inspection fee again. This review is NOT TRUE & ACCURATE as we do not treat anyone dis respectful. We appreciate our customers & I don't believe we have ever gotten lower than a "B" in our ratings. Jim Kreitzer"

I had been pleased with the service from other Angies List recommendations, why not try auto service. Kreitzer was listed with an A rating and located near my home in Camp Hill. I called them at 3:00pm - explained my situation and was told to bring the car in at 3:30pm - THAT'S SERVICE. I "jump started" my car again and drove to Kreitzer. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Katie, who said, you are here about your car battery, I will test the battery and let you know what's going on. The warm welcome from Katie and their dog (smile) demonstrated excellent COURTESY SERVICE. In LESS THAN 30 MINUTES (1) my battery had been tested (2) Katie reviewed with me the test report. (battery needed to be replaced) (3) told me what options I had on a replacement battery, (4) installed a new battery and (5) paid my bill - that 's what I call PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. I probably could have gotten a cheaper battery at another location, however, I know the service, product and professionalism would not have been of the same high quality. Thanks Kreitzer for turning my "bad" day into a "good one."
