Our experience with them was okay. We ended up paying a bit more because the Deal was like for four locks. There were a few locks in the house that were different. I ended up telling him to change all the locks and it ended up more than four. They came out two days later after I bought the Deal. I think they were pretty quick and professional is the good part of it. The down part of it is that the materials that they had used were not as good of a quality as I wanted.

The serviceman arrived when expected. The old lock actually turned two different locks, depending upon which way the key was turned. It was a tedious process, but he was very professional. He replaced the cylinder. He cleaned and lubricated the insides of the lock. He made the lock work with our existing keys. We found this provider in the Angie's List monthly booklet. We received a 20% discount as members of Angie's List.

Good provider.  Showed up on time, did quality work, and charged a fair price to change out 3 locks.  Will use again.  Thank you.

If you've ever experienced that sinking feeling of being locked out of your house on a weekend morning, then you'll immediately relate to the relief we felt when Brian and John from Pop-A-Lock quickly answered our call for help. The job turned out to be more complicated than they originally thought, but they didn't rush or become annoyed. Brian and John were thoroughly professional, pleasant and trustworthy. Plus,  the rate, which included rekeying, was fair. We called three companies for bids and an expected arrival time. Pop-A-Lock was the most responsive. One company called us after Brian and John had left.

I had a home renovation project go wrong, and I couldn't get new lock hardware to go onto the door. I called Pop A Lock and someone was there to assist me in 30 minutes. Drilled holes into my door, put new lock and handle on, and made it sure it was done to my liking. All within 20 minutes!! It would of taken me hours to maybe attempt it!

Great!  They changed the locks on a new house I just bought - front and back doors.  They did the doorknobs, as well as a deadbolts.   I got extra keys too!  They offered to do all the same lock, so I would only need one key, but with a preteen who would have a key (and I'm anticipating losing it, sorry to say), I asked for two different locks.  That way, when I need to change the locks someday, due to a lost key, I won't have to change them all!    He was very understanding and did as I asked.  He was also very punctual and proffessional.  The job was very easy to schedule as well.  I would definitely use this company again!!

On Monday, May 12, 2014, Dave Seese (the owner of the Pittsburgh Pop-A-Lock) came to my home to look over the job I had in mind.  He was very knowledgeable and went over all the different options that were available to me.  I mainly wanted to be able to get into the house without having to fumble with a key all the time.  But I also wanted the house to be secure.  I had purchased two locks that I had initially wanted him to install, but he directed me to a YouTube video showing how to break into a house that had these particular locks installed.  Eye opening, to say the least!  After my numerous questions, which he very thoroughly and patiently answered, he said that he would send me an email estimate.
By Wednesday, May 14, I had the estimate.  It was expensive, but he was giving me, if not top-of-the-line, the second runner-up in lock security.  I gave a "B" on cost because, well, is anyone ever happy with what things cost?  I'm a little embarrassed to admit that one of the locks is probably worth more than the door it is on, but that is another home improvement project for another time!  I called Dave that night, and he scheduled the job for Saturday, May 17.
Right on time, they arrived to do the job.  Actually, Brian called first to let me know they were on their way.  They got right on the job, and I guess the job took about 4 hours.  The front door had to be drilled for a new installation of the dead bolt, but the other 4 installs went perfectly.  Dave rekeyed all the locks to accept the same key, and Brian spent probably another half-hour (at least) showing me how to program each keypad on each lock.
I have left Dave with the task of researching what types of lock I can have installed on my fence gates to secure the property better, but allow access by the lawn mower man.  I guess I am just trying to make the property more "smart".  Dave did tell me that some locks can be opened using your Smart Phone!  Imagine that!  I love technology, and I am really pleased with Pop-A-Lock.  I highly recommend them.

Brian was wonderful! He was professional and so helpful. We had deadbolts added to two of our doors. He explained everything to me and helped me to figure out what would be best for our needs. I would highly recommend Pop A Lock!

Service person was on time. Very informative, relieved my anxiety & nervousness by explaining what needed to be done and was very thorough & pleasant and courteous!

Locked my keys in the car at 8pm - Brian was there just about 20 minutes after I called the 24/7 dispatch service.  He called me to let me know he was on his way & called back to check when he had a little trouble finding our car.  He had the car unlocked before my husband could finish filling out the paperwork.

I called this afternoon, got a very quick callback, and Brian was at my house within a half an hour! He was so very knowledgeable, diagnosed the problem and fixed it!  Moved into our new home and found that only one front door key and one mail box were provided by previous owners .Had keys duplicated at a Hardware store. This was a complete disaster. None worked . Called POP-A-LOCK , Brian arrived within an hour. Made new keys for screen doors which none were provided. Duplicated keys for doors and mailbox. Very professional , wish all dealings with service companies went this well. Thanks  

The locksmith name is Ben and he was just awesome.  My boss left her keys in the truck.  We have a non-profit organization that she runs and we got a store and we can’t find anybody that will come and do it within the reasonable manner of time and we called him and we told him we are a non-profit store and he even reduce the price a little bit and he is very fast, very professional and he said he be there within a half hour and he was there in 20 minutes so that for somebody to come do something.  You know it’s late on people to come to do something for you.  Again, his name is Ben and I tried to go in the computer and do it and do it and I didn’t do it but I’m glad you called so I can give you that information.  There have been a gentleman comes before and he wanted a $190 and he even charge $20 just to come out there which I think was wrong and I don’t remember the name of that company.

We discovered this evening that our home had been burglarized.  After calling the police, having them come here to file a report, we realized that the burglars also took one of our spare front door keys with them. It was 8:30pm when we discovered this, so we needed to get our front door lock changed immediately.
I googled a 24 hour locksmith and Pop-a-lock came up.  I gave their dispatcher a call, we explained our situation, she took our information and said that someone would be calling us back with details and pricing information.  No less than two minutes later a Pop-a-Lock locksmith called me back and gave us a solid estimate on the price to rekey our front door. 
He showed up exactly when he said he would. He was extremely professional right from the start. He asked to see proof that I indeed owned the property. 
We then talked through the options available (we ended up getting two door locks rekeyed) and he explained the price difference. 
He got to work and within the time frame that he estimated he was done. 
The technician was very professional, and personable.  We talked off and on while he was working on the locks. 
He mentioned early on that it actually was his day off, but when he heard about our circumstances he decided to take the job this evening.  This is certainly a mark of an individual and company that values and understands their customer's needs.
All in all, we had a great experience with Pop-a-Lock and would certainly recommend them to others.

After moving to a new home, we used Pop-A-Lock to rekey our four doors with deadbolt locks.  David and Rick arrived promptly at the appointed time.  David proceeded to remove all six cylinders, even the two knob locks for which we had no key.  Meanwhile, in their mobile workshop, Rick replaced the pins in the cylinders and cut new keys, making all six locks the same, so that a single key would unlock all of them.  David replaced the cylinders and tested the keys.  Considering the number of locks, their service was quick, efficient and professional.  I would definitely use them again.
