Tom, the owner of TDM has been a pleasure to deal with over the years and is a reputable operator.
I was so impressed by the job he did on our garage nearly 9 years ago, that I didn't even bother getting competing quotes on the other two projects. When I received quotes for my garage, the other two estimates included the metal support beams to support the load in the middle. TDM's did not, but I assumed it did and never questioned it. I was very pleasantly surprised during the construction when the whole crew hoisted a HUGE laminated beam that spanned entire distance removing the need for that support column. My garage was also constructed to specs such that we can add a second story above with no reinforcement needed. I didn't ask for this, but it was included in the price that was also better than the other two estimates. It was things like this that set TDM apart from the competition. He uses top materials and exceeded my expectations. I imagine he selected every piece of lumber by hand as there were no knots in the wood he used to frame the garage. Tom is a perfectionist and a 'neat freak' - I would come home from work and not see a spec of saw dust or construction debris.
