SERVPRO OF DOYLESTOWN/CHALFONT

I have to say they were fantastic, showed up during a horrible time when so busy helping many people who were also flooded with power outages and water just rising in finished lower level family room. They were on time, fast, knew what to do and very sympathetic to our disaster. Best - they knew how to proceed and advised us how to contact the insurance company, took pictures for us and knew what was salvageable. They dried out us out with huge industrial fans, sanitized and made sure we had no mold. Highly recommend Servpro of Doylestown - our family uses them all the time now. Water is the worst and they know how to deal with it! Our insurance covered most of our work so the cost was just our deductible.

ServPro helped me out of a tight spot for a reasonable price and did so very quickly.  As the time services were provided, I was very happy with them. 

They took most of the trash and insulation out of a side window in my house.  Outside of that window is a specimen Japanese Maple tree.  Very rare, not available in the trade.  I told them they needed to be extremely careful around the tree and I even suggested other windows they could use.  They assured me it wouldn't be a problem and, true to their word, the tree looked fine when they were done. 

Here's the problem...  Spring is now here and when I went to prune the tree today, I discovered that a full third of the tree had been completely broken off AND REATTACHED WITH DRYWALL SCREWS. 

So, not only did they cause irreparable damage to an irreplaceable possession of mine that they were told to stay away from, they intentionally hide the damage from me and stayed silent. 

I haven't contacted them and don't intend to - it's not worth my time and it won't repair or replace a tree I've spent a decade nurturing.  However, it is worth my time to tell all of you the story.

Whoever did that should be ashamed of themselves.  Accidents are one thing.  Lying and covering them up is quite another.

They basically went through everything we owned, throwing away anything they deemed "damaged" (to me, I'd rather have a slightly damaged baby photo than no photos at all- they THREW AWAY ALL of my family photos), and they helped themselves to anything they felt was worth any money. After moving back in to my home, we had hundreds of boxes to unpack, and slowly compiled a list of HUNDREDS of items that were missing. Servpro takes zero responsibility for any of it. We were ripped off, big time.

I TOLD THEM NOT TO TAKE THE JOB UNLESS THEY COULD FINISH BY THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY. THEY SAID IT WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. THEY WERE SCHEDULED AT 9AM BUT SHOWED UP AT 3PM. FOUR MEN FINALLY ARRIVED. THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. THEY WEREN'T DRESSED IN ANY PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. IT TOOK THEM TWO HOURS TO GET THE PUMP WORKING. THEY REMOVED SOME WATER OUT AND LEFT. THEY CAME BACK TWO DAYS LATER. TWO MEN WORKED AND THE OTHER TWO WATCHED. ANDRE, THE OWNER, CAME WHILE THEY WERE HERE. I TOLD ANDRE THAT HE HAD PROMISED TO FINISH BY FRIDAY. HE MADE SEVERAL EXCUSES. I TOLD THEM THAT THEY WERE FIRED. HE LEFT EQUIPMENT AGAIN. THEN THEY CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY TO GET THEIR EQUIPMENT. I HIRED ANOTHER COMPANY AND THEY CAME RIGHT AWAY AND STAYED UNTIL IT WAS COMPLETED.
