About us
In 2005, we began walking dogs. We loved it so much that we never stopped! With the support of local veterinarians, our certifications in Animal Pet Fist Aid by the American Red Cross, and our affiliations with the National Association of Pet Sitters and Pet Sitters International, we have truly proven our dedication as a professional pet care provider. We understand how important it is to keep your pets happy, healthy and comfortable while you’re away. We take this responsibility very seriously and hire only mature adult animal advocates. Our pet care providers are required to go through an extensive screening process and participate in hands on orientation programs designed to emphasize safety for you pet, quality standards and home security. We feel that providing comfort and fun for your pets is the best way to spend our days. We’re proud to be able to service the Bucks and Eastern Montgomery County areas and look forward meeting you and your furry and feathery best friends soon!---Cost determined by the service required. My longtime dog walker was on vacation for a month and I needed someone to help on short notice. I spoke with Walt at Peace Valley Pet Care and he said he could help.
The next day I took off work so I could meet with Walt at my house and introduce him to my 2 rescue dogs. He said everything was great and the dog walker would start the following day. I signed a contract for M-F service.
The next day, the dog walker show up. I gave her background on each dog and took a walk with her. She left with my house with key/code and said she would be back the next day.
About 2 hours later Walt called and said they could not walk my dogs. He offered no solution and was unapologetic about the short notice. I told Walt I took two days off work to find a dog walker and he completely wasted my time. Walt said " You wasted my time and you owe me $100 for my time (driving time and 3 hours to input new customer information into their system)."
After arguing with Walt, he agreed he would return the house key and contract the same day.
Both of my dogs have never shown any aggression and do not have a bite history. This is by far the worst dog walking service I have ever used or tried to use.
Don't waste your time or your PTO days.
"Our Meet & Greets are very important to us at PVPC. We offer Meet & Greets in the evening hours as well as on weekends to help accommodate work schedules for our clients. This meeting lays the groundwork for a successful relationship and helps determine the services needed to provide the best care for your pets. Through this process we ask the pet owner to disclose any personality traits in their pet(s) that we should be aware of or any issues or concerns they have so we can discuss them in detail and ensure that we can provide the service. Being that the longtime dog walker left on such short notice, PVPC scheduled the Meet & Greet right away in order to provide excellent customer service. Upon meeting the 1st rescue dog we saw absolutely no issues with taking on the business. The 2nd rescue dog, which the owner only had for a few days, would have to be carried down the stairs as it was still skittish in the new surroundings. This dog weighed 48 pounds and concerned me that our dog-walker would be able to carry the dog, whose temperament was unknown, down the flights of stairs to take it for a walk. After our dog-walker made the visit the next day with the Owner, she immediately voiced concerns with PVPC about being able to care for the dogs properly and safely without risking injury to human or dog. Unfortunately, we had no other dog-walkers available on such short notice that could provide the service; therefore PVPC chose to cancel the contract and not take on the service. We are fortunate to have some of the best dog-walkers/pet sitters in the area. They love their visits and provide wonderful care and we have 100s of clients that will agree. We respect our dog-walker’s decision and would not try to convince any of our staff to take on an assignment not fit for them and/or a potential safety hazard for them or the pets that we love. The safety and care of both our staff and the pets we care for are our utmost concern. PVPC wishes the client and both her dogs the best of luck and hopes she has been successful in finding a suitable pet sitter.
