Painting (mainly spray) of the deck with Sherwin Williams, Deckscapes, Solid, Latex, by two men went well enough, done in less than 2 hours. But 2 coats in less than two hours didn't leave enough time for first coat to dry. Still to early to tell how well it weathers the winter (now Jan 23). In any case $900 for about 200sf of deck plus lattice work railing works out to about $450/hour. Absolutely ridiculous, total rip-off.

I was not happy with the first job done in my Family Room , and Certa Pro sent another team to get the job done right!!!
Doyan and Turan, were EXTREMELY professional, courteous, &  meticulous with their  work..  Every detail was  accurate and precise. They worked extremely hard, and throughout the day only took a 15 minute lunch break,,,,impressive!                                I will ABSOLUTELY use this Team again.      
I am absolutely THRILLED with the work they accomplished!  and will recommend these gentlemen to all my friends!

Let me preface this entire statement on the fact that we've had very bad experiences with contractors in the past. 
First, the painters were very courteous and efficient.
 We have  a fig tree that my husband practically worships, and they wrapped it very carefully.
Power washed the first day. Did not return to start painting the next day due to heavy rain.
Were slightly delayed the next day, but called and explained they would be a few minutes late.
Arrived and started to paint, no messing around, went right to work.
No sprayer, they used brushes and rollers! Said they would clean up any paint splatters when the job was completed, which they did.
Stowed everything when they were done for the day and arrived on time the 3rd day to apply the second coat.
You know, today we've  almost come to the point where poor service is expected, and when its otherwise, we are pleasantly surprised.
Wouldn't it be nice if every contractor was as good as they claim to be?
 Let me just say, that I would not hesitate to use this company again, and would recommend them to anyone.
  
 

The contract was for two coats on all surfaces. They arrived on time, worked hard, were careful and professional, covering windows and other areas around where they were painting, but after applying one coat they announced that they were finished. When we said that the contract called for two coats they said that "the sprayer applied two coats at once"..... The siding looked awful. The old paint was visible in many places. After several phone calls with the estimater the owner returned from vacation and agreed that they would return and do the second coat. They came back one week later and finished the job. The house now looks very nice. We would have rated them higher if they had done what was agreed to in the contract from the beginning. Their price was very good, much better than the other two estimates. But if we hadn't been there to see what they were doing, we would not have known for sure that they only applied one coat initially.

Overall it was an excellent experience. The gentleman that performed the free estimate was professional and paid attention to what he was doing. He came back quickly with the estimate which was close to what he initially figured it to be. He estimated for both painting and wallpaper removal, but I asked to have him separate the two, which he had no problem doing. I didn't schedule an appointment right away because I didn't have the time and was dealing with many other issues at the time. They contacted me several times if I was happy with the estimate and if I wanted to schedule an appointment in a very polite and respectful way that was not annoying as some other contractors I've worked with in the past have done. When an appointment was scheduled the crew doing the job contacted me well in advance and arrived promptly. The work took them all day as they said it would and they were all professional, nice guys. They went to work and got the job done with no delay. They worled quickly and protected the rooms and floors very well. When it was done it looked great and was ready to paint, as I opted for them just taking down the wallpaper and prepping the walls instead of painting as well. The only minor issue I had was the odor. They used oil based products which really caused a bad smell that lasted throughout the weekend even though it was supposedly "low odor". I would have liked to have known it was going to be such a headache inducing smell to prepare, but overall it was a minor detail. I would definitely recommend them and will most certainly use them again.

This is the sixth project that I've awarded to CertaPro of Doylestown.  The reasons that I've used them consistently are simple, but also rare in home improvement:  

• Responsiveness- At all times during the process from my inquiry to completion, my questions and concerns were dealt with immediately, not within days but within hours.  Communication is important when you have contractors in your home for three days.
• Raphael, the foreman, was especially good about setting expectations with my wife about job progress.
• Workmanship-  I used to attempt painting myself.  It is quite a difference having a true craftsman complete the work seamlessly.
• Value-  I would imagine many contractors might take advantage of the fact that I'm a previous customer that only is getting one estimate.  CertaPro seems to be charging me less as a loyal customer.
• Warranty- Most companies say that they have a warranty.  These guys actually offer to come back every year to inspect their work.   One year they actually completely repainted my three outside poles.

On Friday June 14, Certapro's estimator told me a 6 man crew would do the job on Monday June 17 from 8-3. He stood in my family  room and said "Great news - the 6 man crew is available Monday - they'll be in and out of here in 1 day. If it's the 3 man crew, it will take 2 days."
3 men showed up, who had very little English speaking skills which made it hard to communicate. They rushed through the job, played loud music when I very nicely asked them to turn it off, and stayed until 6:30, inconveniencing my family tremendously telling me "5 more minutes" for over 2 hours.
Martin the owner says his prices have nothing to do with the number of men! What ?!?!?!!  The biggest cost of painting that determines the price is the labor cost!
Certapro's owner is threatening me with liens unless I pay in full and refuses to negotiate. I never signed the contract, so I am consulting an attorney.
DO NOT HIRE CERTAPRO! THERE IS A REASON THEY LITTER OUR ROADWAYS WITH THEIR ADVERTISING SIGNS!

Their quote process was fine. They were very nice. They came out on time.

They do nothing but A+ work and I have no problem with them at all. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

They are very reliable and clean up after themselves. They will come back if there is any touch ups needed. Their work has always been in one day.

They were very good, professional, had a good price, and provided a good service.

From the start, they were very informative and professional, helping with colors and answering all questions. They even showed us how the front would look with multiple colors as well as with different colors. They accomodated my dates and were prompt. They cleaned up well after the job was completed. A few days later, I noticed that some of the pin holes in the stucco were not completely filled with paint. I waited a bit and called Certa Pro to have them look at it and determine if there was a fix for the issue. This was in September 2010. Unfortunately, before I could get it resolved, I was in a serious auto accident in which it took a long while to recover.
This September, 2 years later, I called them and asked them to vist with me to look over my issue from the original work. One of their managers, Judd Howard, visited very soon therafter. He looked at the wall and promptly told me they would paint the entire front again and the pin hole issue would be resolved. He made it a high priority and the crew was at my house several days later. They completed the job in two days and it looks great. No pinholes. They certainly lived up to their committment for customer satisfaction. The owner, Martin Bahner, actually emailed me to make certain that I was satisfied.The office emailed me to alert me when the crew would be there and Judd also called me to keep me up to date with weather reports. It was a very pleasant experience, particularly considering the amount of time it took me to get back to them.

The person whi gave the estimate was very professional and responsive. The painter show up on time and began work. There was a fair amount of prep work to do. They did m,ost ofit but failed to sand arounf our newly installed vanity to remove excess caulk. The also missed several spots and did not go back to touch up.

Job went extremely well, very quick to provide an estimate, timing for the work was agreed within one hour of accepting the estimate and worked started on time.Team was very courteous, always on time and completed the job ahead of schedule.Everyday they were there from 8am to at least 5pm and at the end of every day they completely tidied and cleaned the work area beforing walking us around the outside of the house to show us work completed and to make sure we were happy with the result.

It went very well.

Everything went well.  CertaPro was prompt and clean during the entire project.

Everything was just fine.  They finished quickly and did a great job.  We are pleased with the work.

I got three estimates, and Martin's was by far the most thorough. He asked several questions, provided a lot of useful information, and was very responsive to my questions. His quote was about twice that of the next lower quote, but the two year guarantee and the attention to detail up front sold me. The painter contacted me in advance to confirm the color and the timing. All of the work was done while I was at work, and the work was very well done.

Susan's crew arrived day before to powerwash and hand wash as Martin proposed. Susan stated they only powerwash. The scraping and remainder prep work would be done the following day. 15 minutes after arrival, painting began. We inquired about the scraping but was told not to worry, it will be done, it is "a work in progress." We called Martin to let him know our concerns. After 2 site visits from Martin and Susan prompted by our calls, areas of concern were identified and promises were made. There where numerous areas were the new paint did not adhere to the old peeling paint. Poor craftsmanship in applying paint (semi-gloss shows numerous patterns of brush strokes and poor paint coverage noted on several surfaces). Even after a punch list was made by Martin, these areas were poorly addressed. New roof has ladder gouges and torn shingle. The experience was horrible and we feel that we were misled by Martin and the crew just wanted to get done. We were reimbursed $200.00 for the roof.

Martin (owner) was very quick in providing quote & beat his competition. Quote was in writing via email & detailed, with price broken down room-by-room. Owner willingly provided extensive contact list with positive comments from prior customers on my request. Ryan, painting team leader, started job promptly & completed reasonably quickly. After starting job, company requested permission in advance to take a day off to complete an exterior paint job for a different customer (rain threatened), instead of simply disappearing without explanation. Company uses Sherwin Williams paints. Positive experience & recommended highly by us, would use company again.
