I will first say that I am not a typical, hard to please customer that gives contractors a hard time. Quite the contrary actually....as a former contractor, I appreciate their perspective. However, my experience with this business was so bad that I am compelled to write this review. From the start, and through my contact with them, every employee I dealt with was unfriendly and unresponsive.
- When I originally called to reserve the equipment, I was told to call back a few days before I need it. When I expressed reservation about that because someone could rent it when I need it, the employee reluctantly took my information. He seemed annoyed.
- When I showed up to pay for the equipment, one week prior to my project, they were again unfriendly. Almost as if I was bothering them. All I was doing was paying for my equipment. I asked when the equipment would arrive, and the employee just mumbled something and pointed at the receipt. The receipt said the equipment would arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 am.
- Day of project. 8am. No equipment. I called and kindly asked if the equipment was on the way. More mumbling. Was told they'd find the driver and let me know what was going on.
- 9:30 am. No call back. So I called again, and was told the truck broke down. That is why no equipment. They'd call me back and let me know.
- 10:30 am. No call back. Project anxiety is rising. I angrily call and demand my equipment. Am told that it is being loaded and should be there shortly. I am about 5 miles away, so to me that means it'll be here in less than 15 minutes. One hour goes by.
- 11:30 am. Truck shows up with equipment. Driver gives me the honest truth. They lost my paperwork and so they hadn't planned for my delivery. Their only driver (him) was on other jobs. He has been complaining that they need more drivers on weekends, but the company isn't doing anything about it.
The equipment functioned with no issues. I got the job done but had to work until dusk both nights. By the way, the equipment sat in my driveway for a whole extra day. But I made no attempt to call them about it. :-)
