Excellent job refinishing our hard wood floors. Hired Shawn when I saw work at a neighbor's home. Great guy and will hire him for other jobs as well. Very skilled in construction - he built a deck on neighbors house that is awesome. Great guy - Great work!

My fiancé and I recently bought a 115-year-old Victorian home. The living room and dining room had thin, old, ugly carpeting but the original hardwood remained underneath. Once we got the carpet up, we found the floors in less than ideal conditions. There was paint and varnish on them and some areas had been repaired improperly. We were hopeful they would be able to be refinished, but we weren't expecting any miracles. However, a miracle is exactly what Shawn Wheeler from Wheeler Construction performed! He sanded the floors down and got all the old paint out of the pine floors (no easy feat!) In addition to sanding, staining and polyurethaning the floors, he also installed and painted quarter round around our baseboards where there was a gap from the carpet removal. Shawn was a pleasure to work with, so much so that we already have him lined up for another flooring project elsewhere in the house! He is very professional and went above and beyond for us. We are both first-time homeowners and had a variety of non-floor related questions for him and he was an invaluable resource for us. Shawn pays attention to details and makes sure everything is done right. If you are looking to have hardwood floors refinished, do yourself a favor and hire Shawn, you will not be disappointed. I’ve got great news for you, if you’re lucky enough to be reading this. Remember the name Shawn Wheeler, because he impressed me as a very good man, very personable and someone of good character. Someone you can really trust. He’s a man of his word and somewhat of a perfectionist. He truly wants to make his customers happy and satisfied, striving to meet your expectations no matter how demanding your request might be. I am so happy to be writing this review. I have been toying with the idea of having my hardwood floors refinished for over a year and received many estimates and quotes when I happened to hit on Shawn Wheeler, who came highly recommended by other sources. His quote was by far the lowest, even despite a willingness to use more expensive materials, such as using beautiful hardwood baseboards mitered, stained and polyurethaned exactly to my specifications and desires. When my eye caught something that didn’t look quite the way I imagined it would look, Shawn had no problem with immediately redoing it to make sure I was happy and satisfied. He made no excuses nor did he try to talk me into living with it the way it was or try to explain the reason why it was done differently than what I had hoped for or expected. He just fixed it the way I wanted it. He went way above and beyond what I expected. The finished product was fantastic! He also built me a beautiful ceramic tile entranceway into my living room. I plan on using him for more projects down the road. Seizing the opportunity of having such an excellent craftsman at my disposal, I also asked him if he could do a few extra jobs requiring someone of his talents. These were some loose-end projects that I have been putting off because I knew I didn’t have the carpentry or flooring skills to do them myself and they were things I was not amenable to paying someone a lot of money to do. Shawn simply said, “Sure I can take care of that for you,” and charged me very little to do them. I was so grateful to get these little annoying projects done and out of the way. Therefore, I give Shawn Wheeler my highest recommendation for flooring and carpentry projects. I am one satisfied customer.

After years of having carpet, i decided it was time to refinish my hardwood floors. They were severely neglected and i thought they might need fully replaced but Mr.Wheeler came with his crew and they brought my old floors back to life!! They were very professional, clean and efficient and went above and beyond by hauling old furniture to the trash, they painted my registers and returns and even replaced the power outlet covers and best of all; THEY DONT SMOKE CIGARETTES which i am allergic to. Sometimes these projects can be a hassle but with the crew Shawn assembled , it was a smoothe operation. Thank you Shawn for the great job!

My neighbors house caught on fire the house fell on my house causing a significant amount of damage. I called Wheeler Construction and he honestly saved my life. He came in and remodeled absolutely everything from the rafters and electrical work drywall. Complete and totally remodeled my house from the inside out I'm so proud to be a home owner again. He was so professional and understanding very through and full of ideas. My house is brand new and I've never been happier. There is plenty of pictures on Shawn's profile to view of my house. Taking on a job like mine is a big responsibility everything had to be checked by inspectors and my insurance company I couldn't be happier. I have two kids and I feel more safe than ever to have them over it was very hard living in and out of hotels during the process but as day by day went by and I watched the progress I felt better and better each day about moving back into my new home. Be careful. The owner is very personable and has a desire to do more than others and work hard. The owner's quote was $1000 more than another provider but he agreed to reduce his price by $500 but later did not stick to his agreed upon revised quote. The owner's maturity and integrity became questionable after he received criticism from my listing agent (the floor needed an additional coat of poly). What sort of home improvement service provider is rude to a real estate agent? The one that runs this business who also retaliated by getting polyurethane on the newly painted walls and trim work, while also clogging one of our toilets.

We are in the middle of a complete renovation and have had our share of poor experiences with contractors so it was a complete relief to find Wheeler Construction he and his team are very personable. We were impressed with how extremely professional they were and consistently on time. Shawn takes pride in his work and went above and beyond what we ask him to do.I would definitely hire them again.

Shawn is honest , hard working, intelligent, and a perfectionist. His assistants were also hardworking and polite. We have asked him to do more work for us in the future. Our staircases are beautiful and he made sure before he left that we were completely satisfied with the job.

Shawn and Bob are both awesome. Work is perfect. My floor looks it's brand new! The floor had never been touched since 1959 when the house was built. I'm sorry I didn't know about them when I had the other floors done. They really went above and beyond. They picked up the new closet doors, installed them and hung new curtain rods. They were both courteous, respectful AND thoughtful. I can't say enough good about them.

Shawn takes a lot of pride in his work and does the job like he is taking care of his own house. He worked within my budget and my floors look amazing! He goes above and beyond…painted my registers…installed some floor trim…all things I am sure no one else would offer to do. Courteous, punctual, personable…I cannot say enough great things. Hired Shawn to refinish my stairs and my stairs were horrible prior to the refinish, he made the stairs look brand new. Very knowledgeable, precise, efficient. Shawn did such a great job on my stairs I hired him back to do my back splash in kitchen which was done in 1 day.

Very particular about his work, very passionate and trust worthy. Respects your opinion but will also be honest with you if he thinks it would not look good gives you plenty of options for everything always goes with the best materials for the job and still within budget. Treats the project as if it was his own project at home. He starts out with one job for me which is why it was hard to pick a project for us he fixed our kitchen, roof, doors, painting,sanded and stained our floors, put in a window in our spare room and we ended up hiring him for our whole house! We absolutely love his work have never been more happier. I'm actually not embarrassed to show off my home now.

The value of his work is worth what you pay. He do what he says what he's going to do, and then does more!
