Power Home Remodeling Group provided us with an estimate to replace our front door, as well as all of the windows in the house. We were a bit discouraged by the high price and decided not to go with the company, despite really liking the quality of their product. However, upon further contact with the company, they were able to give us a better deal and we decided to begin work with a front door replacement. They measured the front entrance and clearly explained all of our replacement options. Because the door and side light window style we wanted would not fit exactly in the existing space, they explained all of our options for selecting a different door style or building in the walls around the door we wanted (at no additional cost). We elected to build in the walls and are very pleased with our decision. The new door, which was custom-made and installed as one unit (with side lights attached to the door frame) updates the look of our 1970s home, as well as provides much improved energy savings. Installation took place in just one day and took approximately 6 hours. The three installers were extremely professional and thorough. They took care to test the area for lead (it was negative), took pains to match our existing baseboard and chair rail when building in the wall, and carefully cleaned up after themselves. There were no hidden expenses or unexpected issues. While the door was still expensive, we know it is top of the line and comes with a lifetime warranty. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and will likely use this company again for future window replacements.

I was approached by a salesperson while shopping with my wife and baby in BJ's. They did a hard push to try to get us to schedule a free no-obligation estimate for a home remodeling job, and since we did need a roof repair because of damage from Hurricane Sandy, we agreed to speak with them.
They asked the requisite informational questions, then placed a phone call to a "scheduler" who would schedule the free estimate. The scheduler attempted to schedule the appointment, but when I answered honestly that my schedule was incredibly flexible, but my wife's was not, he said that company policy required that we both be present for the estimate. The salesperson attempted to tell me to to lie, and say that we would both be there, then informed me that she would tell me how to reschedule. STRIKE ONE. However, by that time, the scheduler had already realized that we didn't have a schedule he could accommodate, so he asked me to give the phone back to the salesperson.
After some discussion, the call ended, and the salesperson immediately placed a new call to a new scheduler, and coached me on what to say. I scheduled a time, and she quickly gave me info on the company, and left, without giving me any information on rescheduling. STRIKE TWO.
If you're just interested in getting people scheduled, and it shows, that sends a bad message to the customer, namely that you don't care about them and that they're just numbers on a quota sheet.
On the day of the estimate, as anticipated, my wife's work schedule required her to stay late, so I called Power Home Remodeling and informed them that she would be unavailable. I gave the representative several options.
1) He could meet with me alone at the scheduled time.
2) He could reschedule the appointment, but would again be meeting with only me.
3) Cancel the appointment and lose out on the opportunity to get the job.
Here's the thing about the dynamic between my wife and I: I'm the technical one, and she's the pragmatist. She doesn't care about the materials being used, the number of people you'll send to the job, the contractor insurance, permits, and other minutiae of fixing or building something. She wants to know when it can be done, how much time it will take, how much it will cost, and that it will look good when it's finished.
After several back-and-forths, it became clear that company policy is too inflexible and requires both parties to be there with no exceptions, and I told him to cancel the appointment, since an appointment with both of us would be too inconvenient for us. STRIKE THREE.
Some advice for Power Home Remodeling:
You literally failed at giving away something for free to someone who was willing to accept it.
If your policy is so inflexible that you're making US jump through hoops to accommodate YOUR schedule, you've got your priorities completely backwards. You couldn't even be flexible enough to get us an ESTIMATE!  That's your first impression to your customer, and their first indication of how the job will go. If you can't even be flexible enough to work around our schedule, why in the world would you ever assume that we'd consider hiring you?

I had lost some shingles from my roof with Super Storm Sandy.  This was the third time that I had lost shingles from my roof.  So I figured that it was time to get a new roof.  Since this was the third roof they were going to have to remove all of the layers before putting the new one on.  Power Home Remodeling happened to be advertising in the area and came to my door.  Because of my situation I made an appointment for an estimate.  I just decided to go with them because I had no way to determine if another company would be using the same materials.  So I would not be able to compare.  They showed up bright and early and did finish the job in one day.  They might be more expensive than most other companies but they do give a lifetime guarantee on the shingles and a 50 year labor warranty.  I am very happy with the job and the cleanup that was done.  The windows were just completed.  I am very happy with the results.  Also, shutters were installed for the front of the house.  It just pulls it all together.

I was on the receiving end of a creepy door-to-door salesman for Power Home Remodeling Group.
I hear a thump and a knock at the door along with the door bell ringing, but no one is at the door. I turn on the outside lights and see a guy standing about 20 feet away in my yard, in the pitch black night, looking into my window and waving at me to open the door. After checking no one was near the door and with a large friend behind me, I opened the inside door (outside is still locked) and asked if I could help this guy. He never comes back to the door, just stands in my yard. He starts cracking jokes about me cooking him dinner. I asked him again and he claimed he was down the street helping a neighbor, (didn't recognize the name) when he "noticed" my "windows were in pretty bad shape." It is PITCH BLACK outside, the house is 100 feet from the street, and we just put in new windows 6 months ago. Obviously a scam. I had to ask the guy three times what company he was with before he stopped babbling and told me. When he turned to leave, walking across my lawn, I then noticed there was no car in sight - not in the drive, not on the street, nor anywhere else. I checked with several neighbors and they had the same story to tell - the guy always stayed out in the yard, looking into the window and never came back to the door. What a creepy way to scam somebody into buying windows.

POWER HRG assigned a project manager who came to our house and rechecked all meaurements and also provided a us with a date for installation. They did perform the work on the scheduled date.
A 2-man crew showed up at the scheduled time and promptly began the work. They carefully removed the existing windows and replaced with the new ones. Some of the window frames were not perfectly leveled (structural defect with the house) therefore the crew had to put additional support to level the windows correctly which was done very well. They put additional insulation and caulkled all areas nicely.
The crew performed all clean-up prior to leaving the premises. They also removed all existing window blinds and resinstalled after the new windows were installed.
I gave a "B" for price, only because it's much higher (@ $1,250 per window) than my expectations but feel the money was spent well considering the quality of products and workmanship.

I was very impressed with the service I received. The price I felt was a little high, but the product was excellent. The crews did a great job and always cleaned up after each day.  They were on time and worked very hard each day.  Only saw them take a short lunch break and back to work again. Jennifer was very helpful and always returned my calls. Financing was easy. This company is very professional and I would highly recommend them for any job that needs to be done. I would definently use them again. The only negative I have is the meeting for the estimate was quite long. I felt like I was buying a car, but the outcome was good. The gentleman was very professional and explained everything in detail. I think their presentation could be shorter.

The crew arrived shortly after the time specified and got right to work.  They were clean, pleasant and professional.
They
handled the easy replacements first - the double hungs that were being
replaced with double hungs, and then started on the major bow window
replacement of a plate glass window.  Everything was handled
beautifully, including professional construction of the interior
surrounds needed and adding plenty of insulation to the bow's "roof".
A final kitchen double hung was replaced with a garden window.
Everything was clean and tidy before the crew left, including cleaning the new glass windows themselves.
About 1 whole day was devoted to my project and I was completely satisfied when the crew left.
I love my new Power windows and have been able to turn my thermostat down several degrees since the installation.

Initially, POWER HOME REMODELING GROUP sent a sales representative to our home. He listened to what we needed and then thoroughly examined the home areas in question. He brought sample windows and demonstrated their insulation quality. He showed us how the windows opened, closed (and locked) for air and for easy cleaning on both sides. He discussed pricing and discount offers with us but was never annoyingly pushy. He left us with information and followed up. POWER installers came out and removed an existing kitchen window and pointed out that the previous installers had not put any insulation around the window (it had always been rather drafty). POWER installed their new window - WITH insulation - quickly and efficiently. The workmen were knowledgeable and courteous. The entire process took less than three hours. They carefully removed and then put back the house siding around the new window and made sure the new window was perfectly clean after installing it. They cleaned up any debris and took the old window away. The window has a lifetime warranty - another plus!

Sales man arrived week before job. That was a little rough because his AT&T connection kept going out and he had to make several calls to IT to reconnect. He was here way longer then he should have been consequently making me late for work by the time all the paperwork was done. The actual work went fairly smooth. Workers showed up as promised, were very courteous and professional. The work was all done in one day by a large crew, which was suprising because the roof itself is rather large with a high pitch and numerous angles and smaller roof sections. As of now there are about a half dozen small items to be corrected. I would say it was a decent job as it has held up well through Sandy with no leaks or damage noted so far.

Everything went well overall.  We knew exactly what to expect. They did what they said they would do, and were on time. They were also clean. Their price was comparable with others.  They don’t seem to remember us though, since we still get sales phone calls from them. Other than that, we were happy with their services!

My wife and I purchased a home in July and during the home inspection we were informed that we would need a brand new roof. The job required a complete tear off of 3 layers of shingle, plus the removal of the old cedar wood underneath. As the estimates began coming in, we could see that we were looking at an expensive job (1800 sq ft of roofing.) After our personal and professional in home consultation, we decided to move ahead with PHRG. We had spoken with other companies and no one takes the approach that PHRG does. Although we paid quite a bit for our new roof (23k), we would not have changed a thing. The quality of product, installation, customer service, and the warranty makes every penny worth it (we are firm believers that there are always deals out there, but when it comes to something as significant as a roof, you get what you pay for and I know our roof is top of the line-call PHRG and you will understand exactly what we mean). In addition to that, the financing terms they offered us kept our payments low and affordable. PHRG was fast, efficient, and they double check everything they do. The crew arrived promptly at 7:00 am this morning and finished our roof by 5:30 pm. You can't even tell that they were here because of the immaculate clean up job they did (we even had debris fall into our attic and some of the insulation fell as well, but they cleaned all of that up without hesitation.) From the first knock at our door by PHRG, to our in home consultation with Scott (he is amazing, extremely knowledgeable and courteous), to the moment they finished their work; the entire experience was really outstanding. We are happy, at ease, and secure in the fact that we received an amazing product from and amazing company. Thank you PHRG!

Had representive going door to door in town soliciting work that you may wanted. I was looking for a replacement bay window and they had a saleman come the following day for a free estimate. I was satisfy with the detail of how and when the work would be performed and with a complete written estimate with no hidden fees. They came on the date and time promised and the men performed the work with exceptional cleaniness and professinalism. I would certainly used them again for future work.

I am pleased with their work. They were the highest bid that we got. I think the high bid was also due to the fact that they were very professional and they included everything with it. I think we got our money's worth as compared to going with a cheaper company. They did everything first class, it was all top of the line.

The Introduction-  About six weeks ago, I was at my mailbox when a young man from POWER Home Remodeling Group approached me.  He was going door to door, offering free in-home estimates for a variety of remodeling services.  I was interested in having windows replaced in my home as they were the original, single pane windows (36 years old) that came with the house.  He had a large binder explaining who the company was, the work they did, and the industry commendations they've received.  He assured me that the estimate would be free of charge, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to get a good estimate of how much it would cost when the time came. He called his scheduling person, and we set an appointment a week later for an estimator to come out.
The Sales Presentation-  A week later, our estimator/salesman Chris Brindley, showed up on time for our weekday evening appointment.  I figured we'd be looking at about fifteen minutes and an estimate and we'd be done.  Instead, Chris gave us a true education about their windows and what they would offer us in efficiency and savings.  He also went into more detail about the company, obviously to re-assure us about the integrity/work of POWER.  The best part of the presentation was when he used a BTU meter, a heat lamp, and a piece of single pane glass.  He set up the heatlamp and moved the BTU meter away until it read 100.  He then took a piece of single-pane glass and set it halfway between the lamp and the meter.  The meter now read 82.  He removed the glass and replaced it with their double-pane, argon gas filled window.  The meter dropped to 10!  I was sold after this as I could see my heating/cooling costs drop by about $100 a month.  He worked up an estimate and a monthly plan we could work with.  He really helped us through the process, answered all questions, and never applied any sales pressure at any point.  He didn't have to because the presentation was so good!  We signed the papers and scheduled the appointment for about a month later.  A week after this presentation, a POWER rep came out and measured up everything, as they windows are all custom made for proper fit.
The Installation-  My installation was scheduled to begin between 8-10am.  By 10:30, I hadn't heard or seen anyone.  I called POWER to check the status.  They called my installation crew to find out they had a truck battery issue and were another fifteen minutes from arriving.  No big deal.  The crew arrived, introduced themselves, surveyed the house, and got to work immediately.  Before I knew it, most of the windows were out and the new ones were going in.  The crew leader, Breno, kept me informed of their progress and when daylight was running out, let me know they would return in the morning to finish.  It was supposed to be a one day job, but with their late start, they were going to have to come back even though they had less than an hour's work left.  I appreciated this as there are plenty of companies out there that would have cut corners with time running out in the day.  The following morning, they finished the work, cleaned up all the work debris, explained the product warranty, and left.
The Results-  My new windows not only look fantastic, but we noticed a more even temperature through our split level home.  Also, no more morning condensation on the windows.  The house is even quieter as these insulated windows buffer some of the noise from the street.  I can't wait to see my first winter bills come in and see how much we're saving!  I would recommend POWER to anyone looking to have their windows done, and when I'm in the market for any of their other remodeling services, I will be calling them first!
