I have now used them for 2 seperate projects I had windows and fascia/gutters done. They were timely and responsive throughout both jobs and explained everything thoroughly. The quality of work is very high and I have also noticed a big drop in my utility bills over the winter since doing the windows. They were not the cheapest but I feel like they were a very good value compared to all the others out there doing cheapo windows. You cannot beat their lifetime warranty either and they are big enough so that I feel comfortable that the warranty actually means something. Very Happy Overall. I would recommend to anyone looking for high quality.

I have been pleased with all my 4 contact points with this provider from the initial door to door inquiry, the first visit with the Sales Rep, the pre-install Inspector and the Installers themselves. All contacts were handled professionally and the reps arrived at the appointments punctually. On the install date, wood rot around my windown was discovered by the installers. The Quality Assurance rep showed me the trouble and indicated that the capping cannot be completed properly over the rotted wood; they will have to install different wood around some of the windows. Also, my original soffits were not installed correctly and there is no venting into my roof. The install team corrected this for me and the QA rep let me know this. They are working all day in very cold conditions; I am very impressed thus far with the quality of the work as well as the efficiency and the professionalism of all the staff I have come in contact with.

We hired Power Home Remodeling to replace most of the windows in our home.  Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the service and product, however, as many other reviewers have commented, their sales approach is pretty frustrating.  Additionally, if you?re looking for cheap ?big box home improvement store windows,? this is not the right company for you.  We would consider using Power Home Remodeling Group again.
Pros:
- Custom-sized windows are a great product and comes with comprehensive lifetime warranty (transferable once to your home?s next owner)
- Installation is very impressive and requires no painting or trim repairs
- Great communication
- Friendly and professional team
- Financing available
Cons:
- Be prepared for a 2.5-3 hour sales pitch, and even more time if you decide to hire them
- Questionable sales tactics
- Price of product and service is not for everyone
Pre-project Details:
I was approached by a nice door-to-door salesman while working on the yard one day, inquiring if we were looking to replace our home?s original windows (built in 1940).  I told him that we had just purchased the home and that we were waiting another 2-3 years in order to save some money, but we would be open to getting an estimate.  He called his office who set us up with an appointment.  The woman on the phone asked that both my wife and myself be available during the estimate, since they want all decision makers at the estimate appointment.
The day of the estimate, a nice gentleman came on time (6:30 pm), took a look at our windows from the outside and inside and pointed out some high-level details.  Awesome, so far so good!  This is going to be an easy experience and we?ll be able to eat our dinner soon? or so we thought.  Two hours later, we were still listening to this gentleman?s sales pitch, our dinner was getting cold, and my wife kept glaring at me for what I got ourselves into.  Okay, not so good anymore and I got myself in trouble with the wife.  Awesome.  The only good thing about the really, REALLY long sales pitch was the live demonstrations.  (spoiler alert!) At one point, the gentleman slammed a sample window against a nail, only to show us that not only would the glass not shatter, but it wouldn't even crack.
Then the price came and we were a bit thrown back.  However, you can tell he was trained to give the initial price and then make us feel like we?re getting a bargain by throwing in all kinds of discounts.  We decided to give Power Home Remodeling a shot and due to the high price, we agreed to start off by only replacing the upstairs windows.  All the paperwork then took another hour!  At 10:30 pm, he finally left and my wife and I just stared at each other in disbelief about what just happened.
Work Execution:
The company has one of the best communications and project planning I have ever seen from a contracting company.  We were provided with ongoing updates about our upcoming project and reminders about our appointments.  A week after the sales pitch, a project manager came to do final measurements on our windows and provided us with an overview of what to expect.  Thankfully, this only took about 30-40 minutes.
The work was started and completed on the day that was promised.  The two installers did an unbelievable job keeping our place clean and replaced the 7 upstairs windows without putting a single scratch on our window trims.  The work included installing the custom-built windows along with capping the outside.  All trash was hauled away and they left our place cleaner than it was before they started.
Quality Assurance Follow-up:
A week later, a quality assurance representative came to check up on all the work? or so we thought.  This lead to yet another 1.5 hour sales pitch in trying to convince us to replace all the downstairs windows by giving us an even better price and financing rate for the entire project (upstairs and downstairs windows).  My wife was furious and let the gentleman know that we felt like we were being played.  He was very professional and explained that Power Home Remodeling does not allow for their salesmen to give out the ?returning customer? rates.  The price to finish up the remaining windows came in over 10% lower than the initial quote to replace all the windows, so we simply could not turn down the offer.  However, we expressed our frustrations and stated that we do not want another QA meeting or sales pitch after replacing the remaining windows.
Work Execution (Round 2):
Like the first time, we had a project manager come the following week to do final measurements.  Five weeks later, another installation team came and replaced the downstairs windows.  And like the first time, the men showed up on-time, were very professional, and left our home cleaner than when they started.  We could not be more satisfied with the installation process and workmanship.  This time around, one of the QA managers stopped by during the installation to check up on the progress and ensure that I was happy with the work being done.  He also worked with the installers to ensure everything was being done correctly.  And this time, no sales pitch!
Conclusion:
This company is extremely professional and you can tell they have spent a lot of time implementing a standard process for the entire sales and project lifecycle.  The installation and windows are of great quality, however, you pay a premium for this quality.  So far, two months in, the windows appear to deliver on everything told to us during the sales process.  Our utility bills have gone down and the reduction of noise from the outside is remarkable.
We highly encourage that Power Remodeling Group revisit their sales tactics and practices.  The sales pitch absolutely needs to be cut down and shortened to less than an hour.  Additionally, the company needs to revisit their pricing strategy and consider offering best price the first time around.  Their current practices can make their customers feel mislead.  Had the sales process and practices been better, we would have given an "A" rating.
Overall, we would use Power Home Remodeling, however, we will put our foot down and tell them that
1) We want the short-short-short-short-SHORT sales presentation
2) We will only give one shot at giving their best price
We would recommend them to our family and friends, though with fair warning on what to expect.

It was an excellent experience. I didn't like the way the trim looked after they first installed it (the trim I picked out), they came back and replaced it at no additional cost. Great customer service. Kind of expensive I guess, but well worth it. Will hire again.

We looked into several different projects for windows and venting issues. Pella, Renewal by Andersen, Hynes Roofing and another contractor were much higher in price and were not as knowledgable about the products or couldn't take care of all of the projects in one price. Power Home Remodeling was AWESOME and were able to take care of all of our projects. The salesman explained that the ventilation systems that the other companies had suggested wouldn't work, which no one else seemed to care about. We financed, which allowed us to do a lot more and their prices were much lower than their competitors. We needed windows and something done to cool our house in a bad way. Power swooped in and did everything quickly and thoroughly. There were several inspections, which made us feel like this was a company that we could work with again. Another reason why we went with the company was because they offer a double life time warranty on all of their products and installation. Every other window was 10 to 15 years.  While the salesman was here, he even let me throw a lacrosse ball at the window to prove how strong it was. It took me three times, but I did hit it and the ball whizzed back and almost knocked me out. We had a problem with one of the windows and they offered to replace it. I have met at least five different people for my projects and everyone was AWESOME.. Also, they offered better financing at the end of the project.
We will do more projects with them in the future and continue to have a great relationship with the company.

Our initial sales call was ~ 2 years ago so when I requested a new quote I stated that I did not want the lengthy sales pitch.  We were given a quote after ~ 1.5 hours.  We explained that he was #2 of 5 vendors we were talking too.  Our decision came down to 2 vendors, Power Home being one.  I called and asked for the best price and PHRG gave us a price inline with the other vendor.  The lifetime warranty and that fact that it will travel to the next two owners was a huge plus.  The one day installation was also a big plus as I have 4 dogs.
They came out and completed the paper work, did not take a deposit.  Came out ~ a week later for the final measurement and 4 weeks later our windows were installed.  The crew that came out were fantastic, professional, clean, polite and all dog lovers.  They did the windows in the order I requested instead of their usual routine.  It was like watching a well choreographed dance, it was apparent they have been working together for a long time and each new his part.  They started a little after 9 am and finished, cleaned up and left by 3 pm.
The windows look great, are so easy to open and close and I can see out again.  Activating the warrantee was a breeze.  So far I am very happy with the work and product, definitely would refer PHRG.  Although that initial sales pitch was painful.

In June, the replacement and installation of twenty-seven new windows was performed first, and that work took two days. In early July, the replacement and installation of a new manual garage door was completed next. One week later, the replacement and installation of a new regular door was completed. My wife and I are very happy with the windows and the doors. Even with the weather becoming colder our house remains comfortable and warm. Thanks to nice work by PHRG. The installation work was neat, clean, and systematic. Special thanks to: the window crew of Norbert, Paul, and Mark -- you guys are the best; Matt, the roving representative, for approaching me in the first place; Jonathan, for the thorough and detailed presentation about the windows -- that was epic.

THE WORK ITSELF:
The windows look gorgeous and the door is a massive improvement over what I had before.  They have a very good quality process to make sure all windows and doors are sized correctly.  The workmen were organized, professional, timely, and talented.  They worked around my cats, and also found a way to reorganize the installation process when it started to drizzle, to make sure the house did not get wet.
The only complaint I have about the installation itself: I did find a couple pieces of glass by one of the sliding doors in the back.  They were remains of the old windows, and had been missed due to a higher patch of grass.  This was the only place I found any refuse from the installation - they even vacuumed my house for me when they were done.
A couple days after installation one of my sliding doors, one of the screen door latches stopped working.  The process to have this fixed was fairly painless, prompt, and also free under the warranty.
THE MAIN OFFICE:
I rated them an "F" in professionalism because of the office, NOT because of the workmen.  The work was done brilliantly, and the guys who did it were great.
My issue is that when I activated my warranty, I made the mistake of letting them know that I was a member of Angie's List, and they have been harassing me incessantly to write a review here for the last month.  Emails, phone calls, you name it.  Each time I get a promise they'll remove me from the list, but that doesn't stop them from doing it the next day.
By all means, they do great work!
But DO NOT LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU BELONG TO ANGIE'S LIST!  THEY WILL NOT STOP HARASSING YOU FOR A REVIEW!
IT IS NOT PROFESSIONAL TO HARASS YOUR CUSTOMERS FOR A GOOD REVIEW!

I love the quality of their work, I really do.  But I am going to find someone else for the remainder of the work that I need done, because I am NEVER going through this HARASSMENT from their office EVER AGAIN.

The window installers were prompt, professional, and completed the installation in a timely fashion. The rain gutter installers came a week later and did a very good job as well. I did find a broken solar powered lamp a couple of days later and they moved another spot light that covers rear of our home and forgot to return to the correct position.

It was great from day one! The sales representative measured all the widows that I wanted replaced and then sat down with me to schedule a time and date that fits MY schedule (other companies were not so kind about working on a Saturday- these guys love it).  He informed me that the project manager (Head Top Guy in Charge of the Crew) would contact me in a few days to schedule a look at the windows. The project manager called an HOUR later. He came and remeasured the widows to make sure that the proper measurements were taken and also informed me that I didn't have to remove my blinds. He asked about the age of the house and let me know that it was a possibility that the window might have lead around them. He gave me information about lead and informed me about how they taken even stricter handling of the material just for that reason. It was 4 days before my installation and I had to call them to reschedule due to work issues. The company had no problem with it. The new date arrived and the onsite manager called me at 7am to let me know that he was on his way and would be at my home by 8am. They were here by 7:45 and prepared to get dirty! They unloaded all of my beautiful windows and then all of their trashcans (like 12 of them). The onsite manager introduced himself and the crew to me. He informed me that they would be putting down some dropcloths to protect my carpet while they work and also the floors in every room that they had to enter. They got down to work ASAP! You heard one loud pop and the next thing I know all of the windows were out and being brought down in those trashcans they brought. The crew was quieter then my cat (who was not happy being locked away). I went to check on them around noon to see if they would like some pizza (hey you work for me and i will get you pizza) and I didn't even noticed that they already ate their lunches. The onsite manager was working with one guys putting one widow in on my second floor and another crew member came down and said that they were down on the 3rd floor. He even rescued my cat (who snuck out on my roof with him and watched him work). So kitty was sent to kitty jail and within 2 more hours they were done all of my widows. They cleaned every inch of workspace and more. They even swept my hardwood steps! The onsite manager sat down with me and went over the lead information again. He even gave me notices to place in my widows to inform of possible lead. As quietly as they came they left. Sad to say but my house was much cleaner after they left then before they left. This is the 2nd project that they have done for me. The original was 6 widows just to try them out. That was before summer on my first floor. I haven't turned on my AC all summer on my first floor. THAT should tell you how cool my first floor has been. Kitty is ticked becuase she had to find a new widow to sunbath in since NO HEAT comes through these things. Spring they will be replacing the last 8-10 widows. They already know to call me in March so my order can be completed by April. I love my widows. Yes they cost more than the average Home Depot widow but they are the highest quality ever! Ask the sales rep to smash a 2inch nail into a wooden beam using the actual widow they bring. Only these people did it and the widow didn't break. And that is how you know you have the correct widows for your home!

Two very nice-looking young men knocked on door in August, 2012. Don't usually talk to solicitors but had just settled my mother's estate and house needed a lot of work so agreed to have them send someone to quote. Was very impressed with that young man as well. Price seemed right and demonstration of product seemed authentic. Was not sorry. Work was done on time, swiftly and clean-up was great on both jobs. Had mentioned to Sales Representative that I had seen a lot of negative reviews on BBB site. He said that they do a high volume of business and use several sub-contractors. When they get negative feedback they discontinue using those particular contractors. When our work was being done, the site inspector said we had scored the best crew they had. Overall rating of company was A at the time in spite of reviews. Have never been sorry we chose Power.

Neighbors are having their roof replaced by this company, and their crew was out canvassing the neighborhood for additional sales. The first person I spoke with identified himself as a the Project Manager of my neighbors job and asked if he could send someone out for a free estimate. The Estimator came at the arranged time, and went into a lengthy spiel about the company, their work practices, the competition, their products, etc. etc. He inspected the roofing from the ground (we have a two story house), and inspected the roof decking from the attic. He then continued his spiel about the steps involved and the products they use, and how their competition uses short cuts, etc. etc. He then proceeds to outline the estimates I'm likely to receive from his competition for this job. And tells me that he can offer me a discount if I agree to the work today, but tomorrow the price goes up. Really? My roof is going to change so drastically in a day, a week, even a month that this quote is invalid after 24 hours? The "one call" discount also includes a special financing rate of 9.99% (financing done by Wells Fargo), but if I wait to agree to the work the financing rate will be 27% (again, financing by Wells Fargo). I can appreciate their "one call" discount concept, but the price should be valid for more than 24 hrs. That alone is reason enough for me NOT to use them. Also they only offer one product, asphalt shingles, they couldn't even do a copper roof on a bay window. What kind of "roofing" company can't handle all sorts of roofing? I realize there are specialists out there who only do copper, so they should be able to work with them on that. I'll have to wait until they're done my neighbors house to get a sense of the quality of work they do. It might be good, and the price may be reasonable, but the sales tactics are for the birds. Also, he would price out the job until I picked a shingle color, he said the price changed based on the color, all of the samples were the same brand, same model. Fine, if the price changes based on the color, price me out with the most expensive one, nope, he couldn't do that. What if I change my mind on color in the meantime? Advice to the sales team, shorten the pitch and make the "one call discount" valid for more than 24 hours, perhaps at least 72 hours? But really it should be more like a month, provided the scope of work doesn't change.

Up front, regarding the roofing job, let me say that the materials used were top grade - no complaints there. The installation was average - what you might expect from any roofing contractor. I've found a number of sloppy application issues in the year+ since installation (nails piercing the side of the rain drip, less than smooth seams at gully junctions, etc.), but nothing that affects the overall integrity of the roof. On cleaning up after themselves they were first-rate. I was very pleased with that part of the job.

My main complaint is with the completely deceptive sale and amateurish installation of their gutter protection system, and the less than honest treatment I received when trying to rectify the situation. The gutter system was sold to me as a solution to my having to climb up and clean out the gutters every month or two. But the gutter cover sat flat across the gutter and actually collected material, and plugged up more quickly than the gutter would fill up with debris without the guard. For a couple of months I was climbing up twice a month to clean off the guard, doubling the amount of trouble I was having before the introduction of their product. On top of the design flaw, the installation looked like someone pounded the guard into the gutter
opening with their fists, before running screws in at every possible angle, sometimes seating, and sometimes only driven halfway home. Looking down the length of the gutter, it looked like a roller coaster track. On top of that, the inital installer cracked and chipped the existing gutter (probably from the jamming that obviously took place), shortening its remaining lifespan I'm sure. Seriously, I have a 9-year old grandson who could have done a neater job.  (See pictures.)

My attempt at rectifying the situation went on for a couple of months, and I won't detail all the frustrations and deceptions encountered. There were two attempts to fix the problem, but because the system was not what PHRG said it was at sale, neither worked as promoted, nor to my satisfaction. I ultimately removed the guard myself and tossed it in the trash, where it finally seemed to be properly installed.

To sum up, it felt to me that there was a lot of lying, or perhaps I should say, intentional deception on the part of PHRG in trying to find a solution to this problem. When it was obvious that what they sold me was not what was installed, I would have settled for removal of their product and a refund of just that part of the job (I'm guessing only a few hundred bucks off a $15K invoice) and we would have parted amicably and I'd be writing a generally positive review of PHRG's roofing service now. But given the way I was treated and their refusal to consider a remedy other than ramming their inappropriate and deceptively-presented
product down my throat, I will never consider using them again for any job.

Update in response to provider response on Oct 30, 2014:
It is true that Power offered to install a new gutter protection product on my existing gutters, the same ones they had horribly chipped and cracked in their earlier installation, but there was no mention of a brand new gutter system in the offer presented to me over the phone.  I declined the offer as presented because I had previously allowed Power back 2 times to try to rectify the issue, each time with additional installation abuse (holes, nicks) to the house and guttering, before they convinced me they were unable to make their ill-designed product work.  After significant effort on my own to repair their damage as best I could, I was not anxious to head down that road again.  Plus, I had no way of knowing if their new product was any better than the original one, other than their say so, which I no longer have much confidence in.

The remedy I seek at this point is reimbursement of the cost of the gutter project, which was dishonestly presented to me at the time of sale.  With every other purchase one makes today with a reputable business, you usually have the right to a refund if it clearly doesn't live up to its sales claims.  Power's gutter protection system clearly did not.  While Power may claim to stand behind the quality of their work, they don't seem to stand behind the honesty and integrity of their sales policies and practices.  When I brought up my desire for reimbursement based on dishonest sales promotion, the conversation was over.  Power's grand declaration "to do whatever is necessary to make it right with our customers" apparently does not include all modern remedial standards of reputable business practice.
Response from Power Home Remodeling

"Our company policy is to completely stand behind the quality of our work. On occasion, mistakes can happen and when that occurs, we take it upon ourselves to do whatever is necessary to make it right with our customers. In this instance, we contacted the above member and offered to install a brand new gutter system free of charge along with customized gutter protection. The difference between Power and every other home remodeling product is that when you choose Power, you choose a partner for the long run - not just until payment is collected. From the nice young man who knocked on my door to the guys who installed my windows, everyone was very nice and professional!  The salesman spent 4 hours with me, and the presentation was AWESOME!  Bobby was so great and was so patient with me as I tried to decide which types of windows I wanted.  I kept changing my mind : )
The technology behind the windows is incredible.  They are VERY high quality and will definitely save me a lot of money on my electric bill. They warantee not only the windows, but also the work for life, and it's transferable if I ever sell my home.  I love that!
Power Home's communication process is one of a kind... better than I've experienced with any other company.  Whenever I had questions, I was able to speak to a live person who was knowlegeable, courteous and able to help me right away.
I love that the company has mandatory ongoing training requirements for all of their installers, and I like that their window installers only work on windows, their roofers only do rooves, etc.
Stan's crew did an incredible job installing my windows!!  They arrived on time and were courteous and professional.  They cleaned up everything when they were done!  I REALLY love my new windows!  They look GREAT!!
I HIGHLY recommend Power Home Remodeling Group!!

The price for the door and downstairs windows was some insane number so we opted for the door to start off, which was a storm door and a front door. It came out to be around $5,000 give or take which we sadly said yes to. After doing a ton of research that night we called them the next day to cancel the contract because we found another company that would do the same two doors and all downstairs windows for the same price.... They had another rep come by the house to try and talk us out of canceling. They dropped the price down to around $3,000 and my wife and I were both fairly shocked. We said no to their service because of the price drop, they were literally going to double their money for installing a door. I'm a firm believer in profit but 100% profit off of customers? Not cool in my opinion. I recommend going with someone else because they will rip you off.
