Just think about the lengthy timeshare presentations you hear about.  These people called me 6-8 times after I requested an estimate on replacing six windows.  They ask lots of intrusive questions about credit, who lives in the home, etc.  Felt like a major upsell situation to me.  Should have been a 10 minute estimate on the windows.  They wanted hours to sell their services.  In the end, they gave up rather quickly.  I feel like it was because I refused to play their game.

Response from Power Home Remodeling

"I'm sorry to hear that you felt your appointment ran long, but I hope you can understand why we take the education of our customers seriously. At Power, we only do things the right way - which means we spare no expense in regards to our product quality, warranty service and installation processes. When making a decision about the renovation of your home, it's important to us (and important to our customers) to understand how we are different from other contractors and specifically what we do to separate ourselves from the competition. This information is important in making a decision on what can be a large investment and, while it does take time, most of our customers appreciate the thoroughness. If there's anything else you'd like to discuss about your project, please feel free to contact me directly using the below information. Third project we have given PHRG. Like the other two, the install went flawlessly. Window were a perfect fit, and the finish of the job as good as it can get. I am now used to the communication process, which is way more than most vendors give.

Yeah, maybe the price could be lower, but I'm not complaining. Worth every penny.Yes you should hire them.

This is the second time I hired Power HRG for new windows.  These windows are comparably the best in the USA, quality wise and price-wise.  The window work teams are professional, polite, arrive on time, clean-up perfectly, and an overall inspection is always completed by the supervisor.  Yes, I would hire Power HRG again and refer them to family and friends.

They dropped off the supplies a few days before the work.  Only delayed 2 days due to torrential rain. They got
started about 7:30 am and worked hard through the day (4 men). They came back the next morning, 7ish, and
completed the work about 4:30.  The Inspector came out and reviewed all that was done with us, and we were
completely satisfied, (in fact elated!). It was even better than anticipated!  Everything went very smoothly.  We
would definitely hire this group again.  Everyone was very personable, attentive to our concerns and all about
giving us great service and results.
Bottom line:  we most highly recommend them!
PS:  Our early introduction to this company was with Dan Blau, their Sales Rep.  He was great, no, beyond
great!!  We though our meeting would be about an hour and a half.  However, while he was there, something
elf very unexpected occurred.  During our discussion, Dan stopped talking and interrupted himself to ask us
if we heard something, then he turned to his left and looked up, as did we, and to our surprise, there was a
large bubble protruding down from the ceiling.  Curious, we all went to observe closer when Dan said to step
back, and we're so glad he warned us..... about a second later, the bubble burst open (like a mini explosion).
At that point we jumped back as water and insulation scattered in all directions!  Dan then proceeded to help
us clean it ALL up! (He even carried out the huge, heavy bags of debris) He went way beyond the job of a sales
rep, and became a supportive friend.  We have so much respect  and appreciation for him and his company and
couldn't be more grateful for jobs very well done!!!  Thank you Power Home Remodeling!!!!

While shopping at the local BJs store, I was offered a 10% discount on home repairs. An appointment was made to have a consultant come to our house to give us an estimate on repairs. The consultant arrived on time and was very knowledgeable about roofing systems. My husband is also very knowledgeable and the consultant was able to address any questions or concerns that were presented to him. This meeting lasted four hours. Although I would not say that the consultant was a high-pressure salesman, I can say that this company strongly urges people to sign a contract the day of the estimate in order to lock in a discounted price. Since that is their modus operandi, I would strongly suggest that consumers get estimates from other contractors BEFORE calling Power Home Remodeling Group.
The job went off without a hitch. The project manager contacted us as promised and coordinated all aspects of the job. The dumpster was delivered on time. On the day of the job we went out to breakfast. When we arrived home we found a van full of roofers parked in our driveway setting up to start work. Although the job was estimated to take two days, the crew worked very hard to finish it in one day, ending around 6:00 P.M. This was a relief since rain was scheduled for that evening. The crew cleaned up the area and even moved our patio furniture back to the deck. The following morning the dumpster was removed from our property.
At one point during the installation, my husband noticed that the venting system in the attic would need baffles. He addressed this issue with the crew's foreman, who then snapped a few pictures and emailed them to the project manager. Although the baffles were not originally a part of the planned installation, there was no argument. The project manager approved the changes and the baffles were installed in our attic.
Although we may have been able to have the roof done for less money, we did like the fact that the roof had a full warranty that is transferable if and when we sell our home. I felt reassured by the fact that this is a fully-insured, well-rated, national company. The overall experience was stress-free. We didn't have to give the company a deposit and worry about them running off with our money before work was completed, which sometimes happens in the construction industry. That said, I would recommend this company to others.

I am very pleased with the work and the excellent job that Power Home Remodeling did. I had 14 windows replaced and the installers did an outstanding job. They were professional, courteous and punctual. There was no mess. Everything was clean after the job was done. Since my windows were installed I have noticed how much quieter the inside of my home is. And the best part of the whole deal is the life time warranty that the Power Home Remodeling Group offers. I would use them again and I highly recommend them.

Well I first have to say what sold me with Power was the initial sales appointment. Two gentlemen showed up and we had the best time with them and they were very informative, my daughter loved them. The price is a bit higher than normal but its there business philosophy and there ongoing community support of charitable organizations that really inspired me and the general overall feeling that the employees really like working for this company which equals out to a job done with integrity and quality. They came on time and were very organized and thorough. After job was done supervisor came and checked everything out and then the quality control guy. All were very nice. Once the quality control guy came I ended up ordering a front and back door! He was able to lower my interest and make the payments work. I love my new windows! Cant wait to finish with the doors! We have gone for the cheapest deals in the past and have only ended up with a headache later so I didn't mind paying a bit more knowing that they are there if anything goes wrong and I love the lifetime transferrable warranty. Thanks Power it was a great experience.

They were amazing - efficient, fast and detail oriented!  They cleaned up as they went and did an excellent job.  Workers were friendly, polite and responsive to my requests.  The job looks great and the windows are such an improvement!   The project manager checked in more than once to be sure all was well and reviewed the operation of my new windows with me.

Fabulous job on new, seamless gutters and downspouts.  Workers were punctual, pleasant and efficient.  Am very satisfied with the job and would call them again.
The quality assurance manager, in particular, was very helpful in answering questions and providing direction prior to the job and upon it's completion.

Roofing, Gutter Repair and Replacement
I'll start this review off by saying that if their roofers are as good as their sales people, thank you will be getting a good roof. I probably would of used them if I didn't feel like I was going to get ripped off. First contact was made with them when they were going around the neighborhood offering to give free estimates for roofing, gutters, siding, etc. Since I knew that we needed a new roof, I agreed to get the free estimate. The sales guy was very professional and so I had an appointment set up for the free estimate. The guy who came to give the estimate was great. He was right on time, very thorough, and explained everything very well. The problem came when he got to the "estimate". The first number that he gave me was $19K. He said that that would be good for a year. He then said that if I agreed to the contract that day, the price would be $17K. I said that we would need to get a couple more estimates from other roofers before we would agree. He then went into the "best price" that he could give me if we allowed them to take pictures of before and after. The price that he gave me was $16K. For some reason, probably because he was a nice guy and was there for 3 hours, I agreed to the $16K price. Well. As soon as he left I had buyer's remorse. I signed up for Angies List and my fears were proven to be true. I felt like I fell for the pitch and didnt do my due diligence. Since the estimatesas made on a Friday, I was thinking about it all weekend. As soon as Power's office opened up Monday morning, I called them and told them that I wanted to cancel the contract (since you have 3 business days to cancel). Expecting a fight, I was surprised when they made it sound so easy to cancel. They would be sending out a "documentation expert" to have me sign the cancellation forms. As you can probably guess, he ended up just being another sales guy. A very nice sales guy, but a sales guy nonetheless. After an hour of signing forms and going over why we were cancelling, the documentation expert ended up giving me their "take or leave it" price of $12K. At that point, he couldof told me that they would do it for free and I still wouldn't use them. I am sure that they do good work, but if you do decide to use them, act like you are going to cancel the contract in order to get their best price. If they want to play games with their customers, we should play games along with them. The shame of it is, I probably would of used them if they gave me that $12K from the get go.
Response from Power Home Remodeling

"Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. However, I’d like to clarify some items in your review, as it currently paints an inaccurate picture of what to expect when choosing Power for your remodeling project. It is true that we offer a discount for customers who are willing to move forward with their projects immediately. We visit hundreds of customers everyday and by offering those homeowners a steep discount for an agreement during the initial visit, we’re able to eliminate costs from the potential project. As it is more cost-effective for us to come to an agreement on the project right away, we push those savings onto our customers for their trust in our products and team. ‘Before and After’ pictures are valuable resources that can be extremely useful when advertising the quality of our products and services. When the circumstances are right, we offer the homeowner an opportunity to participate in this program in order to deliver further savings. The final quote you received was a result of the participation in this program. Lastly, we do send representatives to meet with customers after a cancellation request so that we know the reason for the cancelled project wasn’t an error on our end or something we can easily correct. Often times, we’re able to clarify a detail that may have been miscommunicated or work through a number of issues that may be holding the homeowner back from moving forward with the project. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to contact me directly. I am very pleased with the entire process, from the sale presentation to job completion. I had all of my questions answered and requests honored. The work crew was very efficient and professional. The crew chief was friendly, personable and helpful. He was also on the job site 90% of the time the crew was working. I felt that was very important. The only issue I have is the clean-up: there were a few areas where the debris was not properly removed - such as the canopy of our gazebo, the front stoop and the small deck over the garage. Otherwise, it was a pretty painless process.

We had a visit this evening from a representative named Sean. He arrived at 5:30 PM. By 6:30, he was the only person I would have considered buying a roof from. By 7:30 I thought we should consider some other quotes. BY 8:30!!!!! I wouldn't purchase a roof from him or this company if it blew off while we were talking. He knew our dinner was ready and he knew we had a 4 year old who was waiting for dinner. He had been informed by my husband that we had no intentions of making a decision this evening, several times but he pressed on quite aggressively. I finally became very angry and told him to pack up his stuff and go, that at 8:40, I needed to feed my son and get him to bed. Instead of leaving graciously and apologetically he became angry and rude. I will never seek services from this company!

"Thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback - each customer experience helps us improve our processes and, ultimately offer higher levels of customer service. First and foremost, I want you to know that I've passed along your feedback to the appropriate individuals in management so that they can address this directly with the remodeling consultant that you met with. Regardless of particulars, our customers should never walk away with the type of feeling that you did. For that, we sincerely apologize. Regarding the length of the estimate, we take the education of our customers seriously and informing them as to all the ins and outs of their project can take time. At Power, we only do things "the right way" - which means our product quality, warranty service and installation processes are second to none. When making a decision about the renovation of your home, it's important to us (and important to our customers) to understand how we are different from other contractors and specifically what we do to separate ourselves from the competition. This information is vital in making a decision on what can be a large investment and, on the whole, our customers appreciate our thoroughness. "Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While I'm sorry to hear that you had difficulty in scheduling your free estimate, I wanted to elaborate a bit more with regards to our process so that you may better understand why we have designed it as such. It is true that we request all homeowners be home at the time of the estimate. As you know, a home improvement project can be a very intimate experience - you're opening up your home to a company and are trusting them to do the right thing with, arguably, your most precious possession. We want all parties involved to be completely comfortable and aware of what to expect each step of that way so that we can ensure the best experience possible. Furthermore, when we leave a sticker price and aren’t able to deliver the estimate to both homeowners, the party that was absent isn’t aware of what is built into the quote – they just see a number with no context, which makes it difficulty to get a true understanding of the value you’re getting for your money. In regards to the phone calls you've been receiving, I located your profile within our system and flagged your account. We apologize for the inconvenience and will no longer contact you regarding our products and services. If you'd like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me directly using the information below. A group of 3 technicians arrived promptly at 8am. The whole process was explained in detail, the truck was unloaded, 9 Windows were removed, 9 new insulated Windows were installed with proper caulking and colors matched moldings already in place. They cleaned up everything, vacuumed the floors, put my air conditioning back in the window and demonstrated the functionality of my new Windows. Ricky (Marco), Mark and Nick were the technicians and they were efficient, respectful, hard-working very knowledgeable. I am 100% satisfied. My lifetime WARRANTY has been activated and I will be a repeat customer.

Overall and am pleased with the new gutters, and the fascia and soffits look great with the new covers. I was a bit surprised when a truck and crew from Cavallari Gutters showed up to do the work. I was under the impression that Power Home remodeling was going to do the work but in this case they served as the contractor and hired a sub-contractor to do the work. I'm happy with the results but I just wonder if the overall price would have been better without the middle man.
