A nice young man came to my door and asked if I would be interested in a free estimate. I said sure - after a 3 hour long intro to the windows I was interested.  The salesman started going over the price. I kept saying since I just put in solar that I could not afford that.  When he said the 17,779. I was sold so I signed the contract.  When the engineer came to measure the doors and windows he started telling me first that I couldn't get the doors with the blinds that I so desperately needed because my doors were not standard size and they would have to remove all my custom woodwork if I chose those- at my cost to replace by the way!!! I was thoroughly disappointed, I really wanted those doors.  Here's the kicker to now get the doors that I needed was going to cost me an additional 4, 500.00 or more, not less cause the doors would not have the blinds!!!!  I have to pay more and they are the ones that messed up and they are not the doors they sold to me.  I know people make mistakes, but this is why I am angry -they squashed the deal rather than take the loss for their mistake, they didn't even try to maintain the deal, they wanted the salesman to come back out to speak with me again, I told them if they couldn't do it for the same price that I signed contract for then I did not want them.  I would advise against EVER using them.  That was the worst dealing I have ever had with a company!  I don't write these, but as soon as the engineer left I got on the computer - I am livid that they had such disregard for their customers!!  They may have an A rating but if there was something less than an F would give it to them!
Response from Power Home Remodeling

"First and foremost, we apologize for the undue inconvenience and frustration - we never want to impart this feeling upon the homeowners we partner with on remodeling projects. In our over 24 years of business - and with over 275,000 projects installed - we have developed a process that we believe provides an excellent experience for our customers. However, every so often a mistake occurs - and when that happens, we pride ourselves on being the kind of company that works with the homeowner in good faith to try and resolve those issues. This was an instance in which our Remodeling Consultant made an unfortunate error and misjudged what would be necessary in order to complete this homeowner's desired project. Our Pre-Install Inspection Manager noticed the discrepancy between the scope of the project we were contracted to complete and what we could actually install given the realities of this customer's entryway. We regret this error and have used this internally as a learning opportunity to ensure this type of mistake doesn't happen in the future. Since the initial miscommunication, we have been in contact with this homeowner to try and reach a mutually satisfactory conclusion that would not involve raising the cost of the project. Sincerely, Ray Lodato Director of Digital Communications Power Home Remodeling"

Everything went well - the workers were very professional and efficient. The windows are really nice and the bay window is very large and gives the whole living room an open, airy feel.

The cold call was on Thursday, 4/7 and the estimate appointment was scheduled for Friday, 4/8. The only contact information given was for my husband's cell phone. I received an email on the 7th to confirm the appt. My contact information  (email or cell) had never been given to the salespeople and I am still unsure how they had it.
On 4/8, the salesperson called to confirm the appt. for later that day. He also inquired if the appt. could be moved up in time. My husband said yes. The salesperson also inquired if I would be there. When my husband explained that I wouldn't be, the salesperson explained they really needed me there as a "third party", if there were any concerns. Interesting, as my husband and I work as a team...so, my husband cancelled the estimate appt.
I received two phone calls on my cellphone from the salesperson and answered the second one. It was to re-schedule an estimate appt. When I asked where they received my contact information, the salesperson said I had given it to them a "few years ago". This is not true. I explained we were not happy with the customer service the previous day and asked for our number to be removed from their call list. The salesperson challenged me on the fact I had never given them my contact and that "they don't do business that way." Well, yes, they do.

From the first time we interacted with the powers salesman to the free estimate they have us. Our salesman was Alex Levine. He was amazing, his knowledge of powers Windows and the passion for selling them is truly amazing. Overall the whole powers company is a great company!!

If you are looking for a deal, this not the company. In fact, the salesman told me as he walked into my home. However, he sold me a good product. The roof looks amazing. The experience was great from salesperson to install.

This company is very professional and responsive. They sent an extra crew the day of installation because snow was forecast for the next day. The roof was finished in one day. They had to replace a lot of the plywood under the roof.  Did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned up. I think they are more expensive than some roofing companies but there is a lifetime warranty on the roof that is transferable when the house is sold.

I liked them because they give great customer service. For example, they noticed some siding was loose near the roof and tacked it up for me. They also came out to cover some nail pops in my ceiling, which were not part of the warranty.

I'd definitely use them again if I needed their services.

My experience with Power is limited to the two work estimate/sales appointments, both started in similar fashion where their folks knocked at our door saying 'we are doing a job in your neighborhood and see if you are interested in making an appointment', and ended more or less the same where we had to ask their sales person to leave as the conversation became an annoyance.
Both times the appointment started at 'wrong' time, 1st one was around 11am (lunch) the 2nd one was around 6:30pm (dinner). Both times they started with presentation on their company and workmanship, each lasted >30 min even though the 2nd time I made it clear that I have heard that presentation before and was not interested.  Both times the sales person showed no interest in going to the key topic of 'how much the job will cost' after the inspection but rather belabored the issues of the roof.  Both times the sales person told us 'I have never seen a roof in such poor condition in my whole career!' with a dramatic style as if the roof was going to collapse the next day, yes, same phrase and same expression.  And sorry I got really 'turned off' by such style!  The difference for these 2 appointments is, the 1st sales person left as my wife (who was cuddling our 1-year old then) got angry since it way past lunch hour and did not give us any quote since he said 'I don't think your wife is ready for this', the 2nd gent did come back to give us a quote after we asked him to leave, however the quote is 3x more than any of the 4 quotes that we received.  I do need to point out their inspection was rather detailed.
I tend to agree if you pay the premium you probably will get the service that delivers a Ferrari-like roof, but myself as a more practical guy find it very cost-ineffective to hire them knowing that I will be paying for sales commissions, advertisement, sales training, etc. etc..
You get what you pay for, I buy that, I just don't want to pay for more than what I will get.

The company was very responsive and on time for all appointments.  The materials were delivered in advance, saving unloading time.  The crew (8 men) stripped the old vinal siding from the two sides and back of the house (there was no siding on the front).  They removed a through-the-wall A/C unit and repaired the sheathing.  They wrapped the house with a green wrap that channels any water or condensation away from the sheathing and out the bottom.,  They installed a vinyl siding with built in rigid foam insulation and replaced the gable vents, dryer vent and the corner trim.  They neatly installed everything around the existing power outlets, water faucets, electric meter and solar power controllers.  They replaced about 40 feet of damaged facia above my bay window.  They capped the frames of both exterior doors so they will never need painting.  When they were done, they picked up and removed all debris, including any loose nails or screws.

Very professional company. They take extra care in cleaning up and making sure they are punctual. Prices are a bit higher than other companies, but they provide a lifetime warranty which is transferrable to the next owner should you sell your home. I recommend them highly.

My sister and I were attending the Philadelphia Flower Show and stopped by Power Home Remodeling Group's booth to ask directions to the elevator.  Well, the young salesman started out by asking if I would answer a short question about what would I like to replace in my home.  I replied windows and that started a 20 minute pressured sales pitch.  He repeatedly asked how long I lived at my home, what my phone number and cell home numbers were, who lived at my house.  He then said they were going to call me for a time to come to my house for a free no-obligation estimate.  I told him I work during the week and can't take time off at this time for meet with them.  He said they would come out at night.

The salesman then called someone on his cell phone for me to confirm the free estimate call.  The salesman at the other end immediately said he would be out this Tuesday at 7:00 PM.  I told both him and the first salesman that we both work during the week and I can't take the time to meet with them.  After several minutes of the salesman on the phone asking me my name and phone number and address, I became concerned about being pressured into doing something I really didn't want to do,  and told him I wasn't interested and handed the phone back to the first salesman.

I then told the first salesman at the booth I wasn't interested.

Yesterday, they called my home phone twice; once at 10 AM and again at 5:30 PM.  After reading several online reviews about their high pressure sales tactics, I decided to block the number for Power Home Remodeling.

I would never use this company.

Terrible experience! The representatives are extremely deceptive, pressuring and persistent. The 1st representative arrived at my home at 7pm and would not leave until 12 midnight. He pressured me into signing and hand shaking a $19,785.98 deal. Day 2 I called to cancel & was told that I couldn't complete the cancellation until I agreed to allow someone to come back to my home and sign off the cancellation with me. The 2nd representative lied and said that he don't normally come out to homes because he is the Regional Manager. When I asked for his business card, he said he don't have business cards because the company don't give him any because he never have any contact with consumers. He arrived at 4:30pm and didn't leave until after 9pm after trashing the 1st representative and agreeing with me that he was to pushy and promised me that he would speak to him because that's not the way they do business. He spent enough time to convince me that only He could increase my discount from 15% to 20% and correct the measurements because they were done incorrectly by the 1St rep. After he reassessed my needs, the total became 22, 645.45 which now also included Gutters & downspouts. Again on day 2 I called and asked to speak with my salesman and called him by name and was told he was busy on house visits and confirmed that he too is a home salesman. He lied, he was not a Regional Manager. CONSUMERS, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE DECEPTIVE TACTICS AND PERSISTENT PRESSURE THEY PUSH ON YOU TO GET YOUR BUSINESS. ALSO, READ BBB REVIEWS THE COMPLAINTS ARE REMARKABLY SIMULAR. AT THIS POINT, I WOULDN'T TRUST POWER HOME REMODELING WITH A FREE ROOF! :-(

We are more than happy with the finished product!  We had previously had problems with our old gutters and we have already had two major storms where these gutters were perfect!  With all the beautiful new trim and fascia, our home looks like it did when we moved in over 30 years ago!  The job was done on time, for the price quoted, and everyone from Power has been a pleasure to deal with!

This is our second job with Power. A few months ago we had every window in our home replaced by Power Home Remodeling. We have large over-sized windows and we kept putting the project off because it seemed a daunting task! Every person from the gentleman who came initially, to the installers, and finally the person who checked the job when completed - have been wonderful!  We have already saved on our heating  bill!

Response from Power Home Remodeling

"We never want a customer walking away from their experience with Power feeling as you do and I want to apologize for that. We're looking into the details of your project and will be addressing your concerns internally with your remodeling consultant so that this does not occur again. As far as the discrepancy in price, in our over 24 years of business and 275,000 installs, we've never been the cheapest option and have been transparent about that with our customers - but we've always delivered one of the best installation experiences in the industry, along with a lifetime warranty service guarantee. We believe that $10,000, $12,000, $14,000 are all significant amounts of money. But for the scope of the work you requested, installing a project for that price is going to leave you dissatisfied with the quality of the product and the level of service and communication received. We’ve seen this exact scenario play out hundreds of times. Due to the significant amount of the project, the homeowners are forced to keep the inferior product - often times incorrectly installed – which often times results in a very expensive learning experience. At Power, we feel it is always better to invest a little more than you thought than to not invest as much as you should have. If you'd like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to contact me directly using the information below. Yours in Service, Ray Lodato Director of Digital Communications Power Home Remodeling Group 610.874.5000 x2260"
