With both the estimate and installation the provider was ontime and professional. They called the day before to confirm appointments and showed up on time. When the job was done the basement was clean and neat. I am not sure on price since I only had them provide a quote-needed work done quickly. However, the price did seem fair compared with the equipment sold at hardware stores. I would highly recommend them.

quality work, nice guys, BUT --- be sure to get an estimate first, we did not and regret that decision.

We used Powell for our Well and Water Treatment inspection for the house we recently purchased. They were VERY thorough. He went through the entire system, explained how everything worked to us and where his concerns were. We were very grateful as we were new to well systems. He also gave us three different 'fix' options and pricing for each one, giving us the choice of how the 'issues' found could be handled. Our realtor told us they are her go-to well inspection guys.
Upon moving in, we contacted Powell to get yet another estimate as some of the work needed had changed since the inspection. We have yet to get something scheduled, and its been three months, with three attempts and messages left for them. I would definitely use them, just because of how wonderful I though they were during our home inspections, however, we need someone to contact us back to get another estimate of the new needs.

I called them back and we were able to get them scheduled within a week. The work they did was awesome. They replaced the cap to the well, the tank, installed new valves in the lines. All the work was completed within a number of hours and they walked us through each repair they did. Overall, great job as I suspected it would be. Calling them directly vs emailing seems to be the best way to communicate,

My sister told me she heard a noise coming from the pump room. I checked on Saturday and heard a leak of some kind. As it was down in the area where the well head is and nothing was getting wet I figured repairs could wait untill after the holiday. Of course as soon as I finished my shower there was no water. Always on a weekend. A holiday weekend of course. We are used to loosing water every now and again and put up with it as the taste of good well water is worth it.

I contacted Powell Services on Sunday and was surprised to get someone. She asked about the problem and if we wanted and quot;Emergency serviceand quot;. As we had stocked up on some bottled water we decided to wait till Tuesday. That they would come right out if we needed them was comforting and something I noted. She said they would call on Tuesday and let me know when the repairman would be out.

On Tuesday I got a call about 845AM. I outlined the problem and we discussed the best route to our home. About an hour later the gentleman called back and gave me an estimate. I had been doing the repairs on the well before I became handicapped so have an understanding of the various parts, times to repair, problems, etc, and felt the estimate was right on. My sister called a few minutes later to let me know and quot;The pump guy is hereand quot;. She was surprised he had already called me.

He called back sometime later and told me the repairs had been completed and final cost. It was less than the estimate. How very nice. The job was done and all is well. Highly recommended! Triple A-Plus!

As an aside
I chose Powell due to looking over theirs and several other reports. I had been in the General Contracting Business for 20 years before becoming handicapped so know labor pricing and parts. Powell is right on the money. As they offered to have someone come out on a holiday weekend I put them right in my phone book and will have them do all my well work from now on. As I said: The job was done and all is well. Highly recommended! Triple A-Plus!

All went very well. I woke up Saturday morning with no running water. I called the home warranty company, who then proceeded to try and contact 9 or 10 service providers, with no luck. By 6pm on Sat, the warranty company allowed me to try and find my own service provider. My first call was to Powell, Within 30 minutes, the on-call technician called me back and made arrangements to come out. (He would have come out that night, but the skies were threatening). Sure enough, promptly at 9am the next day Carl came out, diagnosed the problem and made the necessary repair. Powell also worked with my warranty company for payment. Two Thumbs Up!
