The project went very well from beginning to end. Rand was timely and responsive. He listened to our thoughts on what we wanted done and worked with us and our budget to create a lovely finished basement with some unusual design features. One of the challenges we faced was the fact that ours was not a walk-out basement and we didn't want the closed-in feeling you get in some finished basements. One cure for this was to include the installation of back-lit windows to simulate the feeling of having access to the outside. The installation included a built-in fireplace and a recessed area for a flat panel TV. Everyone who sees our basement comments on the windows. They all think it is a great idea. They also love the overall ambiance. The full bath is beautiful. One other idea Rand suggested was a real wood basement door with glass panels. It is so much more attractive than a standard door. Overall we were very pleased.
