Sewer line was completely blocked by roots. My local plumber cleared it out for $700 but there was a large crack in the line where the roots came in and repair/replacement of the line was strongly recommended as the roots will soon re-enter the pipe and occlude it again. I called SLWA the next day to schedule a technician to come out, assess, and proceed, but they refused to do so. They said I would have to wait until the line completely occluded again before they would do anything. Note that I did not ask for any reimbursement of the work already done by my plumbing company. The contract clearly states that they will repair a leaking line. I emailed them about this but got no response after 2 weeks. I called them again, and ended up cancelling my policy, getting a refund for next year's policy which I had already prepaid, and asked for a refund of this year's policy, since they were not honoring its terms. They refused but did agree to refund the last 11 days of this year's policy. Please avoid this company at all costs.

Hi, My father died and I continued to pay on this account by setting up account within their website. Well, I noticed that money was removed from my bank account and call this company. I was greeted with stupidity, smugness and script reading. I was on the phone for over an hour; waiting on hold, dealing with people who can't do their job and only patronized me and harassed a grieving daughter. No one person tried to understand what I am going through and try to help me! I thought fine. I will write reviews at every site to show that this group can't handle the most basic of tasks and can only imagine the **** you would go through to get them to do anything to help you. I contacted my bank and they filed fraud charges against this company. I have filed a complaint and wrote a review with BBB- which is almost worthless and filed a complaint with the WV Attorney General. I am also writing reviews all over the internet. Knowledge is power and you must know these companies are out there to help you. The bank and Attorney General in your state is your best defense. Today, I got a call from SWA and the woman said she heard that I wanted to cancel my plan. I laughed and said, NO, I have canceled my plan and file fraud charges with the bank. So we are done here.! She said her agents were trying to get information. I said in order to get information you have to ask a question and no one asked me anything about the account or any information. The agents were only interested in doing nothing, harassing me and patronizing me. If the agents were not such idiots, then I would still be paying for this plan. I am glad they are incompetent and it saves me money.

Very poorly. Sam's Carpet's representative was Mr. DeJuan Evil (yes, that's his real name on his business card). I wanted him to show me with a black light where the pet stains were. He proceeded to pull back the carpet in the living room and point to a large spot which he said was a pet stain. I asked him if he could possibly shine a black light on the stain to show it was a pet stain. I told him I had just seen a black light for sale on-line that looked about the size of a small flashlight. He proceeded to pull a blacklight from his pant's pocket to show me he had one. I again asked him if he would please shine it on the pet stain. He refused. And said he had pulled back the carpeting and that was enough proof. I could not understand why if he had one in his pocket he could not just shine it on the stain to prove it was a pet stain. He accused me of becoming argumentative. Not true. I never raised my voice. I asked him repeatedly to please shine the light on the stain and he just simply refused. I find his conduct outrageous. All the while the manager of the apartment complex, Lauren, stood by silently. I paid the price for new carpeting in the two bedroom apartment because I was in a no-win situation. Had I not paid the approximately $800 for the new carpeting, the apartment complex would have turned my name over to a collection agency within a month and my credit rating would have suffered. Sam's Carpeting provided no conclusive proof that that stain or any other stain that may have been in the apartment was a pet stain. The black light that Mr. Evil had in his pocket and that he refused to use would have provided the proof I needed. Very poor customer service by Sam's Carpeting and Southfield Apartments.

I purchased the Service Line Warranty around two years ago when it was first offered to residents of Madison, WI.  At the time, I thought I would never have to use it... Wrong. (Typically, this neighborhood doesn't have sewer problems---or, so I thought).

However, while in the middle of doing several loads of laundry, the floor drain in our basement started to back up. Wasn't sewage but something else, watery tar-like substance.  We caught it early, and called it  in.  Patty answered the phone on the first ring as I reported my 1st "claim".   NOTE 1: Did you know that they coordinate notification with the City of Madison Sewer department?  Yeah, they do.  The City of Madison arrived in under 20 minutes to "clear the line on the street side" - but the line was clear--- after checking the line, the City Sewer and Water guys stopped by my house to provide information and a very HELPFUL brochure.   NOTE 2:  SLWofA also has a number of contractors (ready to help you) who are on call 24/7.   So, Patty help us schedule with Rooter Rooter of Madison (our preferred choice and whom we initially called).  Ryan already has called us back to check in and has scheduled his visit by 4:30 PM. One of his first questions was "do you have the Service Line Warranty of America?" YEAH!!    (It was a little after 1 pm on Sunday 29-Nov...and we have been dealing with clean up for the last 1 hour).   The good news: We caught it very early and stopped an in progress load of laundry from coming up through the floor of our basement.  Really happy how this has all worked out thus far!   Patty said she would follow-up with us mid-week to verify all is "back to normal"   ...and she did!  =)

I had been having problems with tree roots in my old sewer line.  A couple of times a year, I have a local company come to  open the sewer line.  The last time, I was informed that they thought that the sewer line was collapsed as they could not get the eel all the way through to the end of the line.  I contacted Service Line Warranties whichthe explanaton was clearly stated on their website on how to file a claim.  The promise was that I would hear from a contractor withint an hour.  It wasn't fifteen minutes, when I received a call from a gentleman asking to set up a day and time for his workers to come out and see what was wrong.  This was impressive!
They came exactly at the day and time they said they would and were in agreement that the sewer line needed to be replaced.  The only problem was that my sewer line connected with the city line twelve feet under the ground, which would make it impossible to use a backhoe to reach it.  If they had to do that, a large crane would have to be brought in to do the job which would result in me having to pay much more than was covered by my insurance plan.  He suggested that the city be contacted to put in a new sewer tap only 2 feet underground.  He got all the necessary permits and contacted the city to arrange for the work to be approved etc.  I had very little to do myself.  The insurance only covered up to $4,000, and if it had been necessary to dig down twelve feet, it would have cost me another 3 to 4 thousand over my insurance limit, which I could not afford.  The contractor said his goal was to keep me within my insurance limit and he succeeded!
Service Line warranties also kept in close contact with me.  First, to see if the contractor had called and had shown up as promised.  They also called back to see if I was satisfied with the service I received.  They were amazing all the way around- the contractor and the company itself.  I paid zero dollars, and the sewer is working perfectly!
I would recommend Service Line Warranties to anyone.  I cannot praise them enough. They are a top notch, and honest company

I woke up one morning and found water running down my sidewalk. I called the warranty provider and let them know I had an active water leak and described the location.  They let me know that a contractor would contact me within an hour, but that it might take 1-2 days to effect the repair.
Within 30 minutes, the contractor called and got my information.  They promised to send someone out promptly to assess the situation and turn off the water.  They arrived in less than an hour and began leak detection prior to turning off the water.  They then immediately began digging.  In less than 3 hours, they found the leak and before the end of the day, they had it fixed.  Their invoice was sent directly to the warranty company.
The warranty company followed up to confirm that I had been contacted, and then to confirm that the work had been completed.  I am very satisfied.

Before installing Rich the owner and I determined the best dates to install he was very concerned with convent time for me. The date came and the installers led by Joe came at the scheduled time with all the materials ready to go. The team removed the old ducting and disposed of it. Working with Rich and the team and the open space now present under our home we were able to coordinate with our plumber to come in and replace some old piping. This was an exceptional willingness on the part of R and S heating to make this time available so that the plumber had easy access and for a timely replacement the plumber was extremely appreciative of this kindness. The team then returned after a break in the installation to complete the job. The work area was cleaned and then contact was made to inform me of the completion. After that turned on the new heating system and it worked beautifully. We are so impressed with R and S heating and will eagerly recommend then to family and friends. Thank you to Rich and Janice Russo as well as their outstanding installation team lead by Joe who worked tirelessly to complete the job, as team players with the plumber and their very professional manner. Many thanks for an outstanding job!!!!! :))

We were happy with their work both times. We signed up with them year before last and renewed our contract at renewal time.

We have used them twice, once this year and once last year. Both times were on the weekend.

You call their 800 number, they call a plumber, the plumber calls you, lets you know when he will be there, shows up, does the

work and is out of there.

There was no out of pocket cost, as it was covered under the policy. I think it cost about $50.00 a year.

It is a company that covers your waterlines from inside the home to where the city limits pick up. It covers my sewerage line just in case I need a back up with my toilet. I have surge protection and hot water heater protection coverage. I had used my surge protection twice and my hot water heater went out and they sent a plumber here and he checked everything and every static. They give you so much back.

I call and they call their plumber, which now happens to be the local guy I'd call anyway. He does the work on my schedule, and they pay the bill. Love it!

Call the company's toll free number.  SLW will request your account number and a description of the problem.  Then they call the appropriate contractor and give them your information.  The contractor will call you and discuss the problem and set an appointment. This usually takes less than an hour to make all the arrangements.  The contractor will arrive and do what needs to be done at no charge to the homeowner.
