Very disappointed with the service here at Bobby Rahal BMW of South Hills. My salesman was Darren Smith and was one of the worst car salesmen I have ever had to deal with. First, he indicated to me and my fiancé that if we were to trade in our car, we would get the higher of the two values. So, Kelly Blue Book came up with a $4,744 instant cash offer and after they looked over the car, he said that we would only get $3,500…so there is the first promise not kept. Next, he tells me that running our credit would go out to multiple banks and we would get the best financing available. Well, lie number 2 since I bank with Chrome and my contact there indicated that my loan application did not come though the Keystone Lending Alliance so my credit had to get pulled twice! Chrome did say that they regularly do business with Bobbly Rahal and was surprised that I was having issues. In addition, he stated that my financing rate would be around 5.39% and I have excellent credit! Needless to say, Chrome got me a rate of 3.74%. The final straw came when we were only given one key and a second one was to be ordered. It’s been close to a month and did not hear anything so I called and spoke with the sales manager Tim and he indicated that the second key came in but no one called me to let me know. I would expect this type of service from Bob’s used cars that would have about 15 cars in the lot but not from a Bobby Rahal BMW dealership. I will not be back to this dealership in the future.

I have been using them probably for 6 months now. I like them because of their knowledge and familiarity with the automobile. The price is fair.

All experiences I have had at Bobby Rahal BMW over the past six years have been phenomenal. I have purchased a new car, a CPO (certified pre-owned) car and have had numerous repairs (both warranty and services/repairs I have paid for out-of-pocket). The sales experience was top notch with the salesman (Mike Kyle) that sold me and my wife our two cars. The service department seems to be very competent. I have ordered a few parts from their parts department, also. Again, I'm very satisfied with their level of knowledge and competence, as well.
There are two situations that arose at Bobby Rahal BMW that really stand out to me in terms of customer service and just excellent (read: honest) business practices. When purchasing my wife's new car from Bobby Rahal BMW in 2008, we noticed a indentation in one of the rear interior upholstered panel immediately after finishing the paperwork and being given the keys. Technically, we had already taken ownership of the car and they were in no way bound to do anything for us. However, the salesman (Mike Kyle) took one look at it and assured us he'd get it taken care of...which he did. When purchasing our second vehicle (a CPO vehicle) with the same salesman, I again noticed an interior component that was slightly damaged immediately after taking ownership. Again, Mike took one look at it and assured me he would work with the service department to get it taken care of, even though we had already taken ownership. I can't express how much this impressed me and my wife and it has created loyal customers out of us. Sure, the cars aren't cheap. But the quality of the vehicles and the level of service we continue to receive is second to none.
The most recent service I had was a water heater failure on my CPO vehicle that was promptly repaired. The work was performed quickly and I was back on the road within a couple of days.

Dealerships tend to be on the high side but they worked with me on this service. They agreed to charge me for 2 hours labor to match the price of an independent bmw mechanic that quoted 200. I would've done it myself but these sensors are very difficult/impossible to access without special tools. The quality of work was great....just do your homework before you go to make sure you're getting a good value.

I was given a loaner which I have found to be necessary when having repairs or maintenance done here. They always keep my car a day or two longer than promised.
The I-Drive seems much better. However, it was reset when the service tech could not find the cause. As a result in all my settings disappeared. The new gasket fixed the leak. The rest of the service was for routine maintenance.
Since 2010 when I purchased the car from Rahal, I have had problems with the transmission. Each time I take the vehicle in for service, I ask them to check it. It was under warranty which has now lapsed. I understand from other BMW drivers that there is a sensor in the transmission that is bad. However, their fancy computers have been unable to detect it. So after 3 years it has never been fixed.
In general, if you are not in a hurry to schedule an appointment and can do without your car for a few days, Rahal's service is as good as any other auto repair establishment. They can handle the routine maintenance, but the computer technology on these cars is problematic and difficult to diagnosis and fix. Hence, the $678 labor cost.

They provide great service. The service is always awesome. I have no complaints. They give us a car to use and are very gracious.

I really like working with them. They really go out of there way for you. It is a first class organization

They are an upscale BMW dealership. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. They provide drinks and food. The staff is polite and punctual. They do not charge for new car service and they will pick you up and drop you off when your car is being serviced.
