This is the first service we have used other than self employed cleaners. It's a great relief knowing that someone will be available if, for whatever reason, the regular person cannot come that day. Every effort is made to send the same employee. We love that. Also, we love that they bring everything they need to do the job, including the vacuum/steamer. Everyone we have dealt with has been friendly and professional - frequently attending to something extra without being asked. We do entertain occasionally and did in fact need to adjust the schedule for that - which was no problem.

The owner of the company is very vigilant about our preferences and requests. After every cleaning there is an opportunity to comment about any issue or concern. We have never needed to do that - other than to say we were pleased with the service once again.

It does cost more than the self employed cleaners we've used in the past, but they were not insured, and we provided some of the equipment and supplies which included repair bills as well as a clinic visit following an injury. We had no problem covering those costs, but we realize it could have been much worse. Insurance is a good thing.

I highly recommend this company.

For first cleaning during the evaluation the manager told us we would have the same housekeeper come out every time after the initial cleaning. From a scale to 1-10, 10 being the best they cleaned our home the first time around a 6. The second time the came out we did not have the same housekeeper as promised and she didn't know exactly what needed cleaned we had to explain to her what we had agreed upon at our first cleaning and she cleaned around a 7 on the scale from 1-10. When the housekeeper came out the second time we were not expecting her because we never received a follow-up to let us know they would be coming. We contacted the manager after the fact who stated she did email us, however she did not send the notice to the correct email address. It took the manger almost five days after contacting her that we would not expecting the second housekeeper to come out to our home and we caught off guard. I would not use this company again.

We are sorry that your regularly scheduled Cleanician moved to a different career path before your second scheduled monthly cleaning. We do everything we can to keep turnover low but unfortunately, she decided a different job was a better fit for her. We notified you of this change (and also about your upcoming appointment) by email but we mistook the letter "u" for a "w" on your contract. The email was not returned to us so we assumed you had received it. It is our policy if an email is returned to us to give the client a call. We indeed did try to reach you by phone the day after you informed your Cleanician that you would like to speak with us. As regards to our maid not knowing what to clean in your home, she did have a detailed Work Order but was unsure of what to do because at that time you gave her different instructions than what we previously had. I hired Tranquil Environments to clean my house every two weeks for five months because an illness prevented me from being able to do it myself. The few issues I had in the beginning as we got to know each other and how I like things done were handled quickly and professionally by Jessica, the General Manager. Sara was prompt, friendly and efficient. I really didn't want to give up their services, but I just couldn't justify paying someone to clean my house once I was able to do it myself again. I would definitely recommend Tranquil Environments.

The people in the company are just so lovely and pleasant to deal with but I do feel that quality of work could be a touch better. I keep going back because I like the people so much and keep hoping the quality will get better. I wouldn't mind but the price is a bit to expensive for the quality. I am going to give it 2 more cleans and see.

Perhaps they would have done a good job and perhaps the price would have proved affordable if they'd bothered to show up. The young woman I booked the walk-through with was very friendly and explained the process clearly, but no one showed up for the walk-through. I called three times from about 15 minutes after the scheduled time until an hour and a half afterward, and there was no answer, despite the voicemail message stating the hours. Someone finally called me back nearly 2 hours later, and she gave me no explanation. She sort of limply apologized a few times but made no attempt to win my business or assure me they'd make things right and that it wouldn't happen again. I expect people who are going to come to my house -- especially when we're not at home -- to be reliable. Very disappointing. I was ready to hire them.

For our part, we knew we were not a good fit. We tried on two different occasions to sever our business relationship but you would not hear of it! It is so important that we are able to clean each home as thoroughly as it needs to be. Because you skipped many cleanings and did not want to pay for any extra time, we did the absolute best we could in the time you allowed us We still tried to be as thorough possible with this limitation put on us. I assure you; we use top of the line cleaning supplies! The products that we use are not inexpensive and are not bought at any local stores. We are proud that we are a green cleaning company and so we use products that are safe for the environment, safe for our clients and safe for our Cleanicians. Because we are a green company, these products do not have the same strong smell as many harsher chemicals. We are willing to use a stronger product when requested and provided. Unfortunately, since this request was not made we were not to accommodate you. We ask many clients to post a review on Angie’s List; and yes, we do offer a free cleaning for the time and trouble they have taken out of their busy day. WE DO NOT TELL THEM WHAT TYPE OF REVIEW TO POST. It is up to each individual client to review us as they see fit."

I found TE on angie's List. My husband and I bought a used home back in June 2012. After a walk through of the home, I sat down with Lisa and made my expectations perfectly clear (well I thought they were clear) and we received a quote. I made sure I communicated I want the same tech(s) all the time. I do not want new techs everytime I schedule with them. We requested the Top to Bottom cleaning we also wanted to add in the basement. We were told a 4 person team would show up. The day of the initial cleaning - the Top to Bottom cleaning, 2 of the technicians showed up on time. The other 2 never showed. I contacted Lisa, the owner, I advised 2 of the techs never showed and I shared with her I was disssatisfied in the cleaning job. The window seals were not cleaned, the windows were not cleaned. The bathroom upstairs were cleaned but the used towels were never removed into dirty laundry. The bedrooms were cleaned but no beds were made or linens changed. This is the level of detail I communicated I wanted initially. Lisa was apologetic and said ok give us another try and we will come through. Next appointment a brand new tech shows up late. So I had to show her what I expected to be cleaned. It appeared as if this young lady was not familiar with their literature that covers what comes with a bi-weekly cleaning. This tech was slow and again did not clean to the level of detail I expect. I communicated again via the feedback sheet / email that I was not receiving the level of detail cleaning I asked for initially. Next appointment, I got a new tech. This tech performed my next 2 cleanings. She was a nice young lady, however I noticed again she was showing up with Dollar General store brand products. The house did not smell cleaned. So I asked her about products. I asked why are you not using commercial strength products. I reached out to TE / Jessica. I emailed and said look, I don't clean my house with sub standard strength products. I use bleach and cleaners that disinfect and provide aromatherapy for the house. I advised, I have no pets and no kids. When my husband and I come home the day of the cleaning, we expect to smell bleach and disinfectants (cleaning products). We received a cleaning yesterday, my husband commented, the house smelled neutral. So this appointment, we got a new tech again. She was 10 minutes late. Ok not a big deal. She was on her phone alot. She was vaccuming with the phone up to her ear. Again, none of the previous requests I made was accommodated. I had to ask for the window seals to be cleaned. She wiped them down, she did not clean them. She did not change the bed linens, remove used towels from the bathrooms etc,,, she did not sweep and mop the basement. All the things I constantly ask to receive and is more than willing to pay for. After yesterday, I will not be using TE ever again. It is very clear to me; after giving them several opportunities to and quot;get it rightand quot;, they cannot deliver the level of cleaning service and professionalism I expect. TE's prices are very fair, but it is the level of service I expect that they cannot provide.

This is based on regular, repeat service (weekly, bi-weekly and monthly). You always gave us a call the day before you wanted a cleaning. Our Cleanicians each have very full schedules with repeat clients. We were happy when we had an opening and were able to get your home cleaned for you even on a short notice! For your initial clean, we were able to pull together a team at 4:30 p.m. for the next day (as per your request). We apologize that one of the Cleanician’s called in sick. Because it was such short notice, we did not have any other techs available to take her spot. I assure you; we use top of the line cleaning supplies! Our products are not inexpensive and they are not purchased at any local stores. We are proud that we are a green cleaning company and so we use products that are safe for the environment, safe for our clients and safe for our Cleanicians. Even though we are a green company we will use any product you request and provide. Because we are a green company, these products do not have the same strong smell as many harsher chemicals. We are happy to change the bed linens on the master bed when they are left out for us (and also the other beds but an additional charge is incurred). We do not remove bath towels unless specifically asked to. We apologize for the Cleanician who was on the phone while she was cleaning. We have strict rules against any phone calls while in a client’s home other than for an emergency."

I called this company on recommendation from a very good friend (who has also fired them recently). The phone receptionist was friendly and calm whereas I needed help to clean my house because my in-laws were coming. She asked how dirty our house was and I gave it a dirty 8 out of 10 and I told her that we have dogs, dog hair, and the size of our house. She gave me a range of the maximum for my description of the job which amounted to $375-456 and said they often have 5 people show up on these one time, top to bottom, first cleaning appointments. One of three maids arrived at 9am when our appointment was scheduled to begin. All three came in to tour the house at 9:30 for a 10 minute tour of our 3,000 sq. foot house. I asked them to work on the fans and fan lights (did not/forgot in at least 2 rooms), dust the laundry shutter door (did not), and of course vacuuming everything would have been great. At 11:30, one of the 3 cleaners called the main office and told her that the job would be taking longer than expected. The ladies kept working (I thought they were working well, I was home gardening at the time and entered the house a few times... things smelled clean and there was chatting and movement). At 1:30pm, the cleaning ladies told me their office person wanted to talk to me. What I feared was true. She said that the job was going much longer than expected and that we were already up to $500! The ladies had 'cleaned' less than half of our house. They acted nice about it and said they felt sorry for the customer sometimes so they would try to vacuum out a few rooms before they left. I felt like they were playing 'good cop/bad cop'. We told them we would pay the maximum quoted to us on the phone because that's what we agreed upon (for the whole house!). We told them to go and they charged my cc for the $456. There were still cobwebs and dog hair in every room they said they had cleaned. The 3 biggest rooms, the living room, dining room and play room hadn't been touched by the cleaners. The silver lining: the two bathroom sinks looked good. My in-laws came and felt sorry for us and our bad experience but did not look down on us because they also have a dog (with dog hair).

Tranquil Environments cleans our home on a monthly basis. Besides doing an exceptional job with the cleaning, we have come to appreciate the fact that our tech treats our home and possessions as if they were her own. Every effort is made to see that we have the same person every month, which contributes greatly to the overall experience. Special requests and considerations are met when possible.

We have pets and are most impressed with the kindness and respect with which they are treated. We have never had a negative experience with this cleaning service.

We had been using a different service which was mostly expensive for three cleanings but who never applied any "elbow grease" and whose only expertise was dusting horizontal surfaces. With a long-haired dog and two cats and a busy kitchen we needed regular, thorough cleaning. Lisa and her staff has consistently provided this for us.

Ive had this service twice a month for over 4 months now. I live in a large 4,800+ square foot house with a family of four and two dogs. What a difference we noticed in the cleanness of our house from the first time it was cleaned. It is a pleasure to come home after Tranquil Environments had been there. I'm pretty picky when it comes to cleaning our house. We had used several, I mean several other companies to come clean. None of which can come close to the quality and consistency of Tranquil Environment. We sure found ourselves a winner this time.
