Carranza Roofing and Siding

A storm (hurricane Sandy) blew several of the shingles off of our roof. I called Carranza the morning after the storm and spoke with someone to set up an appointment. Despite being overwhelmed with calls for repairs that day, the person on the phone was courteous and helpful (I was told how much the repair would likely cost) and I was informed that someone would be able to repair our roof the following day. I had called some other companies who either couldn't come out for several days, couldn't tell me over the phone approximately how much the repair would cost, were charging more than Carranza for the repair, or never returned my call. We received a call the following day informing us of when they would be coming over. The missing shingles were replaced with similar shingles in a matching color; I can't tell which shingles were replaced when looking at the roof from the yard. We also asked for an estimate on a roof replacement, which was written up and given to us before they left. From what we've seen from getting other roof replacement estimates and from the work we had done, Carranza offers some of the best prices and does quality work, so we plan to use them again. It was a pleasure to work with Carranza.

Minor Carrzanza makes a very good first impression. After we discussed the work I needed I hoped he would ma a competitive bid because I instinctively like him. His bid was competitive and he did as he said he would on time and it looks great.

I contacted Carranza Roofing & Siding after the "Sandy" storm blew a number of shingles off my roof. The company that I usually use was so backed up that they couldn't make it out for over a week and more rain was in the forecast. I searched and found Carranza on Angie's List and they were very close by. When I called I spoke with a very friendly and helpful person who arranged for the repairs to be done in two days. One of their roofers showed up exactly on time, was very personable, and quickly and skillfully replaced missing shingles with a matching color. Carranza was the lowest cost proposal of three that I received, they were also the quickest in regard to timeframe. I did quite a bit of roofing work when I was younger so I know that a quality job was done. Carranza has earned a permanent place on my "Go To" list for future work.

Kim, the installer needed to change schedules a few times due to time weather this was no problem because we didn't need to be there. Great job, cleaned up afterwards and reasonable price plus warranty!

I chose Carranza Roofing and Siding because of its great reviews here on Angie's List, but I was a bit disappointed. Things started off great. The gentleman who came to my home to do the estimate was professional, knowledgeable, and quite helpful. After that I had to do a lot of following up with this company to make sure the work was going to get done. I called once to find out if they had received the signed contract I had faxed over to them. The project manger called me back and told me he was unable to answer my questions and that I should call back at another time. The work was scheduled for a Tuesday, but was canceled due to weather. Completely understandable, however, I never received a phone call to inform me as such. Apparently neither did the company who was supplying my shingles, as their truck sat outside my home for 15 minutes. I received a call that morning from the project manager stating he "couldn't remember if he called me or not yesterday" to inform me that they weren't coming. I said that he had not. I discussed the work that was to be done to my home and he assured me that both my roofing and siding needs were going to take place and be completed on the same day. On the day of the work, the roofers showed up on time and were extremely polite. They completed the work quickly and efficiently. I waited for the men who were to perform my siding work. They never showed up. At the end of the day the project manager called to see how things went. When I told him that my siding work was still incomplete there was a long pause at the other end. He told me that he planned to come out to my home the next day and asked when I'd be available. I informed him of a time frame and he said that he would be at my home during that time to meet with me. He never came and he never called to say he wouldn't be coming. I never did hear from him that day. On Friday afternoon I called again, since I hadn't heard anything, about when my siding was going to be repaired. The siding workers showed up shortly thereafter. Again the workers were extremely polite. One apologized for them having to come out to my home again. I didn't feel like the workers were the one who should have been apologizing as I am sure the project manager's disorganization is not their fault. I will say that i found it difficult to use the rating scale for this company, as the laborers were great, the office help, not so much. For Carranza Roofing and Siding to state that they "wish we would have known" there was a problem and that I never called the office to say there was a problem is a bit ridiculous. I called the office plenty.

This was our first major home repair project and was the reason we joined Angie's List. The contractor horror stories we'd heard from friends & family made us very skittish about choosing a good one. Thanks to Angie's List we did. We found all the companies we wanted quotes from on Angie's List. The reviews for Carranza are what really stood out for me while doing my research. All the companies we contacted had A ratings but Carranza's customer reviews were especially enthusiastic. The gentleman who came out to do our quote was very nice, no pressure tactics, took his time to ensure we covered everything we wanted. Originally, we were going to replace the porch roofs & gutters but their price for that was significantly better than the other quotes we had so we decided to see what it would cost to get everything done. He brought samples of the shingles and siding with him on the appointment. The other companies had not so another visit would have been needed to choose colors. It was nice to be able to get everything wrapped up at one time. The work started on time and I have to say, we were astounded with how quickly the roofs were completed. Two days to do all that. The crews worked from 8-6 & 8-8 and took their time cleaning up the debris each day. After the roofing was done, the gutter team came the next day. Given how quickly the roofs were done, we were a bit disappointed that the gutters took 4 days to complete. In the end though, their work was top notch, just as the roofing was. When the project manager came to review their work last week, there were some minor things to correct/touch up and that was completed promptly. We could not be happier with the results! We also need to replace our crappy old windows and doors and we'll definitely be getting quotes from Carranza for that work. We strongly recommend this company.

The best part of this experience is that Carranza?s is a local company. Our new roof helped our local economy and made our home beautiful.

Although we decided to use another roofing company for our project, we were very impressed with Carranza Roofing. Mr. Minor Carranza himself performed the estimate, and he made every effort to satisfy our concerns and questions. He offered an Angie?s List discount, and seemed very interested in pleasing his customer(s). Their staff seemed very professional, and their estimate was very competitive. In fact, it was difficult not to choose Carranza for our project, but we could only choose one.

This was an incredible experience. I had done my research on Angie's List before I contacted anyone and I was struck by the wonderful comments about Carranza Roofing. All of the comments were true. Minor Carranza came to my house, looked over the entire roof and gave me a price. He was personable and very professional. I liked him immediately. His crew showed up on the date they were supposed to and set right to work. It was 96 degrees out with a lot of humidity. These men never stopped. There were two men on the ground constantly cleaning up any debris thrown from the roof. What was s o important to me was that one man would sweep the group with a magnet to pick up any nails or other debris that they might miss otherwise. This was so important to me because I have a dog and was concerned he could get hurt from this stuff. They completed the job in one day. They worked from 7 am to 7 pm and got it all done.When Minor came back to inspect the work I told him I was unhappy with the portion of the roof over my porch. He was so fantastic! He offered a solution and his guys came out and fixed it. They actually out did any expectations I had. it was beautiful when they finished!This is a company with roots in the area and a lot of pride in their work. Hats off to Carranza Roofing!!!

It went excellent. It was the first time I had used them. I would use them again. They were prompt and courteous and did a good job.

Awesome. So much has already been written about this provider, but I would like to add a comment on how they handle conflict. The repair stretched to almost a week due to weather and scheduling, and during that time a few issues did come up. The wrong siding was ordered and had to be replaced; we had questions about some damage done to our deck; and there was a minor conflict with some clean up. Minor Carranza, his project manager Sam, and the entire team was EXCELLENT. They handled all of our requests and inquiries graciously and to our complete satisfaction. It is rare to find such integrity, and I believe that to be the mark of a truly great company.

Excellent experience. An estimator contacted me early the morning after I placed a call (at night), and showed up that day to check it out. I got an estimate that day, and sent it back with a partial payment. The work was done 2 days later: took less than an hour. Fast professional work with no hassles. I would use them again!

Great Job from estimate to completion. Minor/owner/ came the day after requesting an estimate promptly as scheduled. Minor made us feel confident from the start by showing us his insurance certificate and certificates of his men's completion of factory training. Good feeling going in......Now comes the show....On the day of the job 5 men were on my roof at 7:30 to start removing the old roofs. At 9:00 the roofs had been completely removed. All landscaping was protected and all during the removal one man was on the ground continually cleaning up. I came home at 12:00 to find both roofs had the felt paper installed and shingling had begun. By 4:00 most of the shingling had been completed, all flashing, drip molding and frost barrier had been completed along with flashing 4 skylights. The men were quiet, and seemed to always be working. The job was pretty much complete by 5:30pm with the exception of some final clean up and finishing touches. During the final clean up one man was continually running a magnet on wheels around the property to insure that any nails that came off the roof were cleaned up.They left around 6:00pm with the two connected roofs complete, no nails or peices of shingles were left on the ground and the job was beautiful. We now have the best looking roofs in our 113 home community. Great job!

I have had Carranza Roofing Siding do work for me before. I had someone else install siding on my house. During a very minor wind and rain storm some of the siding came partially undone. I called the original installer and could not get anyone. ( This company was the low bidder and not rated by Angie's list ). I looked on Angies list and found Carranza. They were highly rated. I called the office and explained to the receptionist what my problem was, and it was an emergency since it was going to rain again later in the day. Minor Carranza called me back within 20 minutes and said he could be at my house in a short time. He arrived in 20 minutes and proceeded to tuck the blown back pieces in and secure them with screws. He caulked where necessary and made the repair water tight. He charged a small fee. I later contracted him to remove and replace the damaged siding with new material. The cost was $1200.00. The work was great, the installers knew what they were doing and the job went well. So that is how I was introduced to Carranza Roofing and Siding. On 3/06/2012 I called Minor Carranza to come to my house and give me an estimate on a new roof. My house was originally a small rancher. I had put on a large downstairs addition and an upstairs addition. There were three roofs, the original, the rear addition and the upstairs addition. He took measurements and said he would mail me the estimate. On 3/10/2012 the estimate came in the mail for $8135.00. I went to his office and accepted the bid, signed the contract, and left a deposit. On Thursday 3/15/2012 the work started. There were 3 people on the crew. They worked from 8 AM to dark on Thursday, Friday, and finished on Saturday. It was a fairly large job. On Thursday and Saturday Minor's project manager came to the house to see how things were going. He had also given me his cel phone number in case I needed to talk to him. The job went very smootthly. The crew was very knowledgable. At the end of Saturday the new roofs looked spectacular. For those of you who are saying I should have gotten other estimates, My answer is you get what you pay for. Minor Carranza gives you super work, a great warranty, and He or His project manager is always only a phone call away. If you want top quality work at a fair price with great support CARRANZA ROOFING AND SIDING is the place to go.

He was very knowledgeable, spent time talking to me and actually made a couple of suggestions. The price he quoted was $7225 for that service. He was on time, professional and also very informative, which I really appreciated.

They were great to work with overall! The technicians were professional, prompt, and did a good job. We have no complaints.

They got the job right in the end, but it took a few tries.

I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. It started with the lowest of 4 bids and there were many excellent suggestions. They were curtious, dependable and responsible regarding all aspects of the job.

Minor Carranza visited three times before receiving the order to discuss what would be done and how much it would cost. On one of these visits he brought a representative of the window and door manufacturer to verify all dimensions and configuration of the replacement items and explain how they would work. Minor also visited daily during the work to make sure all was going well and I was satisfied with the quality and progress. The members of Carranza's three man crew was very professional and efficient and performed excellent work, sometimes exceeding quality and workmanship that exceeded what would normally be considered good. I intend to have considerably more work done by this service provider and would not hesitate to recommend Carranza to others.

We got a couple of quotes and found that Carranza was highly regarded on Angie’s List so we went with him. They were very professional and very efficient. The price was right in line with the other quotes.

They were very professional. The owner came out and he walked up on the roof from the front. He took down his notes on his computer and send us their estimate via e-mail. Once the rains stopped they came out and did the work in a day as they said they would. In fact they did our roof and adjoining neighbour’s roof also. So they did two and I referred them to another neighbour. They are excellent. They deserve all the accolades. The total amount spent was about $2300. That is for doing our roof as well as our neighbour’s roof. They did two levels in the back of the roofs. They removed all the shingles and took it down to the wood, and replaced some wood. Our neighbour is an elderly lady so I made the deals for both the roof and they did the roof for both of us. Our roof cost us around $1000 and he gave us a discount because he did both the roofs. Hers was more expensive than ours. The price was excellent because we had a couple of other people out but we were not impressed with them. Everything they did was top rate. He even followed a couple of days later to make sure everything was okay. They came on the day they said they would. They stayed until the job was done. They did their job. Another neighbour was also impressed with them. They really impressed us particularly with that type of work. The crew leader and his men were very professional. They cleaned up and they even used a magnet to search for any metal.

All went well. On time. Worked quickly. Left everything neat and cleaned up.
