Called and left a message on Friday, September 13th, 2013. Received a phone call on Monday, September 16th, 2013. Discussed what needed to be done. Made an appointment for the next day at 10am. James called at 10am and said he was running a little late and was it still ok if he came and it was. After walking on roof and looking at issues. Quoted me a price and discounted price if I wanted the repair done that day. After taking inventory of what was needed, he was missing a piece of equipment to complete job. Made an appointment for the next day and still honored the discount price. James came the next day and completed the job. We are extremely pleased with work done and at a price much lower than we'd expected (based on previous repairs with other companies and not as good a work as was done this time). I would highly recommend this company and use them again in the future if necessary.

We first sat down with the company co-owner (Minor) to review options and receive a quote. It took about 5 weeks before he had all the material and then contacted us to discuss when his crew would begin work on our home. It took about 2 weeks to complete the job with a couple day gap toward the end as they acquired gutters and downspouts to match the color of our new siding. I would inspect the job each day and if I saw anything I didn't like, the foreman of the job addressed my concerns immediately. One thing that made me feel very confident in the training of Carranza's crew, is that more than once I saw an issue that was "hidden" from sight, but before I could even point the problem out, someone had already addressed what I had seen. While it was a big job, with a lot of material and men involved, the crew cleaned up as they went along, keeping the house and property as presentable as possible at all times. After all was done, the co-owner came to my home and walked around the house with me inspecting the job. Since all was as I could wish for, we shook hands and exchanged the final payment. What more could you ask for: value, professionalism, and a job well done!

The salesman provided a detailed list of products available and what I would get for my money. The work was scheduled quickly and work expertly completed in 2 days. Follow up was superb, including independent review of work and an additional call from the owner.

The representative came and explained exactly what they would do, the materials used and all guarantees/warrenties. The company delivered what it stated it would. I was very happy with the worker's work ethic. The cleanup was excellent. The only way I knew they had been there is that I had a new roof.

The crew was very professional. They completed the job in 2 days and arrived on schedule. They were careful to tent all of the foundation plantings to prevent damage while removing old roof. They cleaned-up the site to my satisfaction. I was so impressed with the quality of the work, I asked about gutter guards. I had them install their Alcoa Leaf Relief gutter-guards (additional $1600.00) which they guaranteed to work ). I will comment in the future regarding gutter-guards and how well the work. So far so good.

Carranza Roofing & Siding did a fantastic job. The owner (Minor) personally checked for adaquate roof ventilation before the job started and also personally checked the roof upon completion. Carranza used tarps to protect our bushes, communicated everything that they were doing and cleaned up nicely at the end of the day. We reported one minor issue the day after they left and a crew came back in two days to rectifiy the issue.

They did a terrific job. They were prompt and professional.

They did not respond to my initial request for an estimate for several weeks. When they did call me back they explained that there had been some staff turnover in the office and as a result some of their messages had been lost. I can understand that happening but it is unfortunate and does not leave a good impression. When I asked if they were interested in providing an estimate because we were still in need of having the work done they gave me quite a bit of run around on the phone. No one seemed to know how to go about giving me an estimate. I was passed off to at least a couple of different people. In the end, the chose not to send someone out to look at the damage that needed to be repaired, which struck me as odd and I couldn't understand why they wouldn't want to see the job before giving an estimate. They basically asked me to describe how many shingles needed to be replaced so they could figure it out over the phone. I was very uncomfortable with this as I was sure that once they arrived they would find reasons to increase the cost. Then I felt like I was pulling teeth to get them to e-mail the estimate to me. So basically they just wanted to give me a verbal estimate over the phone without ever seeing the house or job. Needless to say, I did not hire them

We were very happy with the whole process. The quote meeting was thorough but didn't take forever like the high pressure big companies. There was a pre-job inspection. The job was done very quickly after the inspection. It was complete in 2 days. We had a few spots of concern and since we weren't home when the job was completed, they sent someone back to do a final inspection and addressed our concerns.

The job was done GREAT. Minor and Barb are great to work with and the workers are respectful, quiet when starting early in the morning. The job was done quickly with updates of any finds or concerns. I've recommended Carranza Roofing to many people already and if you want the job done at an honest price with good work call Carranza Roofing.

Overall a good job, communicated well, the only area for improvement was clean up. We had to pick up some garbage and nails around the house. They did come back and clean the skylights when requested.

I did not use this company as the price was slightly higher and they use a third party vendor for the door. There is additional coordination that needs to take place. The third party vendor does the pricing, would have been good to send the sales person with the installer. I choose to work directly with a door vendor. But I understand Carranza's primary work is roofing and they perform other services and would keep them in mind for other projects.

First off, if you are looking to have a roof put on your house look NO further. These guys were great. Professional from the start. From when they first came out with samples and gave me a quote and asked for a deposit, "which they did not cash until the work began", the follow up while waiting for the work to begin, and finally when the work was completed. When they left you would have never known they were even here, other than seeing a nice new roof, they took a bunch of photos to show me the part of the roof I couldn't see, because I wasn't about to be climbing any latter.Clean up was perfect and the workers were polite. You can ask for any more then that.

All went well. Efficient, professional, quick service.

The service was very good. They said they pride themselves on neatness.. They used tarps to help remove the shingles as opposed to throwing them. However, it was a very windy day and the shingles blew everywhere but they cleaned it up.

They did a great job. They were very quick, very efficient and very thorough. However, I have a leak that not one roof has been able to track. They were able to find two of them. They were persistent, very responsive and very committed to trying to track down where this is coming from. I have had a really positive experience with them. They were super professional. They were very willing to come out and investigate. It is too cold right now to figure things out, but they have got a great commitment and great responsiveness to problem. I would recommend them.

I was informed by a neighbor who had a roof leak repaired that I had some broken/missing shingles from the last storm that came through. I called Carranza and they gave me an estimate of $165 for 1-10 shingles replaced. They were able to come out the following Friday and were right on time. The roofer went up to inspect the roof, looked around the whole thing and found 3 broken shingles. Before proceeding with the work he showed me pictures of the damaged shingles and asked if I still wanted to proceed with the fixes. He also showed me pictures after the shingles were replaced. I appriciated seeing the pictures as this was work that I couldn't visually inspect myself. Overall I thought they did a great job and were very professional. I would definitely call them again.

Generally went well. Minor was responsive, friendly and professional. His business is apparently growing and as a result he had added a supervisor to oversee the job as it progressed who did not stay on top of details as well as he should have and I had to point out several problems that he missed to Minor who had them corrected. Nearly a year later everything seems OK but the real test will be how he responds to any problems that may occur during the 10 year guarantee period. One annoying situation is the fact that due to a different slope in one part of the roof the appearance is somewhat different in that area resulting in a lack of uniformity in color. It would be helpful if this likelihood would be pointed out in advance.

Very professional, from handling my request through the phone to arriving on time and communicate with me on minor adjustment. Josh is the guy who did the work. Not only he patched shingles, he also fixed frame and metal that was damaged.

Minor Carranza, the owner, prepared the quote, reviewed the work to be done with us and followed up on the work once it commenced. I was very impressed with the professionalism of both Minor (the owner) and the crew that performed the work. All Shrubs were protected prior to the old roof being taken off and the site was left clean after each day's work. The new roof installation was completed in a few days and the crew left the property as clean as they found it when they started. I was very pleased with the job.

I contacted four companies for estimates on the job, and I had an extimate from eight years ago that our homeowners association had obtained which I used as a measuring stick for the companies. Only three of the four companies showed up and provided estimates. The first estimate came from a company that showed up in what looked to be an expensive brand new truck that was covered with company logos. The person providing the estimate was very knowledgable and provided a lot of brochures, insurance, licenses, warranty details, and a very professional estimate, but they were very expensive. The second quote came from a sole proprietor who stopped by while I was not home and provided a very brief estimate that was just one page hand written, but the pricing was much better than the first. The last estimate came from Carranza, who provided a thorough estimate with brochures, insurance, licenses, warranty details, and a detailed estimate, and the pricing was virtually the same as the second quote. Based on the information we received the decision was pretty easy. After accepting the bid from Carranza, the project was scheduled within a week. We were told that they would start at about 8:00AM and the job would be completed in one day. When the day came, the arrived about 15 minutes early, completed the work in less than one day, and completely cleaned up after themselves. The job was completed just one week before hurricane Sandy hit. Although the winds in our area weren't nearly as strong in our area as they were further east, it was still a very good test of the workmanship, and we made it through without any issues. We are very please with the work that they did.
