The project started great. The salesman walked us through the process, answered questions, and had a pitch that convinced us to go with Home Genius even though their bid was $4-6K higher than others. I was notified when materials would be delivered and the time window for completing the project. The crew worked really hard putting in very long days. Problems started on day 1, when the crew installed 90% of the rake drip edge incorrectly. The site manager said this would be corrected before shingling the next day, but I had to stop the workers and explain what needed to be done. No-one checked the attic for insulation prior to installing roof vents, they missed two spots with underlayment, did not install the underlayment or shingles as recommended by Owens Corning, and installed the shingles over the eves and rakes incorrectly. These were only the problems I caught! All the shingles along the rakes were ultimately replaced (during which one more of the improperly installed rake drip edges was discovered and replaced, but they failed to prepare flat sections of roof for the sealant used, and did not install two pipe vent boots correctly. I pointed out the problems to the site manager, who did not do anything about it. The local company owner watched the crew shingle over bare sheeting. The local company owner did agree to come back to replace the shingles along the rakes and improperly installed underlayment when I showed pictures of the bare wood. I finally had to turn to Owens Corning for a resolution to three remaining problems.

This company is a rip off they come off very nice and helpful but by the time you notice what's going on it's too late they started my project telling me they can do everything I needed to and once I already paid them so much and told them what was going on They act like they were going to fix it and they did not. They have a Mexicans who don't know what they're doing and who don't talk English. They are supposed to fix my roof in my face and soffit and I did not. they told me my roof was too high Once they were almost done they use wires to hang my gutters up and they did not complete the job. They told me they left my job a mess I have you don't recommend them. I am very dissatisfied and they try to rush and put my roof on without replacing old wood, if you're not there to see, they will get over on you. Please do your research before hiring them it's a scam they don't have their own workers. They hire people who they don't know that can do the job and if they can't do the job, they're still gonna take your money and act like they did it so please watch out

From pre-installation through the completed project, Home Genius Exteriors professionals were in communication with me. My roof looks GREAT and I am so glad I had the work completed now and did not wait until spring, especially after I saw what my roof looked like underneath the shingles! The roof was completed in a day and a half and the gutters were completed in 1/2 day. Clean-up was done after each day.

A real professional job! They kept us informed throughout the process. They were very quick to answer our questions or concerns.

Had a new roof put on, flashing in several places needed fixed, and a few small sections of underlying wood were in bad shape and needed fixed. We had no drip edge on the house and poor roof ventilation. They sent a crew out who finished the entire job in one day! Just in time for the first snow fall of the season. I had neighbors who used cheaper services, but all they did was replace shingles and nothing else. I now have a warranty that should last until well after I meet my creator. This was a higher cost than other companies but you also get what you pay for. My roof size was about 26 square.

I'll begin with a good comment: the downspouts look good. However, buyer beware: the company has some questionable service practices that I think customers should know about. Their salesman Andy came by to give me a "Good for a Year" quote on downspouts. While he was there, I asked about also having the box gutters on my front porch roof addressed, as water was pooling in the front corner and causing the front wood to rot. After walking out onto the porch roof together to inspect the gutters, Andy explained that the problem was one of the interior slope, and that they would be able to slope the inside of the gutters properly and line with a GACO coating to ensure their proper drainage instead of rebuilding them from scratch. I was verbally given a very reasonable "Good for a Year" quote for both the downspout replacement and box gutter drainage solution, and asked for the quote by email. It did not show up. After two weeks, I got a text message from their project manager Justin asking if I had made a decision, and I explained that I still had not received the quote by email (it was not in my junk mail folder either). I got no response. After another week with no response, I called and spoke to Justin, and he sent me the quote. It was 600$ more expensive than I was quoted. Justin explained to me that the quote I was told was an "ASAP" quote, and the "Good for a Year" quote was more expensive. This was not conveyed to me by Andy during the consultation. In the end, Justin agreed to honor the original quote, and for that I give them credit, although it seems like a shady behavior. The work was done, and after the first rainstorm, I discovered that the box gutters still had water pooling in the front corner. I pointed this out immediately to their project manager Justin, and was informed that sloping the inside of the box gutters was not part of the contract even though Andy is the one who explained this entire process to me during our initial consultation about the water pooling in the front corner. My understanding was that fixing the internal slope was part of the process of lining with the GACO coating---apparently not, according to Justin after the fact, and doing that would cost an extra $2000+ on top of what was quoted to me! After I expressed my concern that they failed to deliver what was to be a solution to my box gutter drainage problem, they then contacted Andy to validate what had been explained to me. Despite Andy having walked out on my porch roof with me to evaluate the problem and explain the lining process (which would involve sloping the interior to get them to drain properly), their salesman Andy outright lied to them and said we never talked about it and offered a ridiculous alternative that he may have been discussing my rooftop box gutters that he had told me during the initial consultation were in excellent shape (so there would be no need for any discussion on those). I don't know enough about box gutters to make up an entire process of repairing the very poor drainage problem that was the whole reason I brought the box gutters up to Andy in the first place. So this is not simply a matter of miscommunication: their salesman outright lied when confronted with a major service problem. There was absolutely no reason I would have had the lining done if it alone wasn't going to fix the drainage problem that was the whole reason I brought it to their attention in the first place during the consultation! It just makes no sense, and I'm very bothered by the dishonesty. All in all, their timeliness was good, and their work seems to be quality. But their employees' lack of honesty and integrity really leaves a bad taste in my mouth---one of disappointment and regret for ever using them in the first place. I'll be fulfilling my part of the contract tomorrow by paying them, but unless they somehow figure out a way to make this right, they've lost a repeat customer. Proceed with caution, potential customers.

The crew arrived on time and did a great job with installing the roof, soffit fascia and gutters. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves and addressed any questions I had promptly. Dominic the representative explained the process to me thoroughly and the production team made sure the job went smooth. Justin M. completed a final walkthrough with me to make sure all work was completed. I am very satisfied with the work Home Genius did.

Very well. The crew that was contracted to do the work was prompt and efficient and Justin Mencer was right there with them communicating about and overseeing the project.

Everything went well. Faster than expected. Good product and support. There was small damage and recompense was made.

Home Genius was so easy to work with. We had our estimate and had our new roof within one week. The entire roof was completed in one day. They were prompt and professional. The quality of the work was outstanding. Also, they cleaned everything going as far as taking a magnet around to find stray nails. Walter, the project manager did a drone flyover to show us the finished project. And yes ladies, there were two ladies up on the roof with the guys. Home Genius definitely cares for the customer from start to finish.

I would like to thank the Home Genius Exteriors team of Calista, Caleb and Devan for another job well done! After having our roof replaced, we called them to replace our leaking gutters. They sent a crew out and within 2 hours we had nice new seamless gutters and downspouts. The proof is in the workmanship, because it stormed Tuesday evening after they hung them. Not a drip or overflow. Everything worked like it was supposed to. If you need a new roof or gutters, you can’t go wrong with Home Genius Exteriors. The price is reasonable and the workmanship awesome. I give them a 5 star rating

The work was completed in a reason time and with no wait period. Calista, Caleb and Devan spearheaded this project. Each explained what would take place, the materials to be used and the work standards. They did not disappoint! Everything they explained happened just as they said it would. The quality of the work was superb and the clean up afterwards was excellent. Quality control was at its best. I highly recommend Home Genius Exteriors.

I am very pleased with my new windows. I used Home Genius Exteriors to do my roof, gutter protection, and now Windows. This is an absolute amazing company, my salesman brendan was very helpful, Devan the Project Manager helped make sure everything went smoothly. Walter and Mike also from production were very friendly and professional. And Shawn, the window installer was polite,knowlagable, and efficient. And even cleaned up on his way out. Next on the agenda is to get a new door taken care of. Highly recommend HGE

The sales process I believe could have been explained better, but the install crews were amazing, and the production aspect was flawless. Devan the project manager helped iron out a hiccup in the sales process, and made working with home genius a pleasure. Highly recommend this company bask for Devan to be your project manager and he will walk you through everything.

The company was fast, efficient,and responsive. Devan the Project Manager answered my call on the weekend and was there on Monday to remedy the situation.

Roofing materials delivered,dumpster,permits and work crew. The project manager Walter kept me well informed and saw to every detail. The crew's thorough cleanup of my property was especially appreciated. I went from leaking roof to great looking new roof in less than 1 week. Well done. I would highly recommend and would use again.

Company initially agreed to come out and provide estimate. I made them aware during the initial call that I have underlying health conditions that prevent me from allowing anyone in our home during Covid. I specifically stated that all that is required is the estimate with documentation of services provided as I have other estimates and familiar with the products to be used. They agreed to those terms. They called back the day before the visit and said it doesn't suit there needs because they couldn't come in the home to provide the 90 minutes presentation.

From the very first conversation, they were professional and responsive. Explained everything in great detail and answered all questions. I wasn't sure if we'd be able to get the job started during the middle of winter, but surprisingly got on the schedule and work started within 2 weeks of confirmation. It's been about 3 weeks since they finished, and the only thing that needed extra attention was a gutter needing caulking (it was leaking on a rainy day after installation). They sent the gutter crew out within 3 days of me calling, and they sealed up the leaky gutter. Very happy with their work.
