The professional expertise and advice was monumental in helping resolve our home mold remediation.

We discovered mold in our basement, on furniture and in closets after a very damp summer and fall. After tearing the house apart and cleaning as much as I could, I realized that the problem was bigger than I could handle. I found Bill Geiske through Angie's List. I specifically wanted to get an independent analysis of the scope of the problem and not somebody coming in to scare me into buying a service. I was losing sleep over the problem already! Bill was thorough, calm, and very informative. We live in a 3 bedroom ranch house with a utility basement and crawl space in addition to an attic. Bill accurately identified types of mold that he found on visual inspection (even after all my cleaning!) He took several air samples from problem areas of the house and sent them to an independent lab. His visit lasted over 3 hours and I feel that my husband and I received valuable education about our home and how to remediate and prevent mold from getting out of hand in the future. He followed with an extensive written report about a week later. Bill gave us options for DIY methods or trustworthy mold remediation services. I'm not pleased with the results of the analysis because it means that the work isn't done yet, but I am not losing sleep anymore. His services weren't cheap, but worth every penny we spent! I would highly recommend using him before just jumping to a mold remediation service if you suspect problematic mold in your home.

Excellent. Bill easily explained what he was doing and why in layman's terms. He was prompt to the project and answered all the questions and concerns we had. Bill used a certified lab for testing as well. Bill also offered and delivered recommendations for mold remediators and provided information to help us choose a dehumidifier. He explained the best way to keep the humidity low in the crawl space as well. Subsequent to the inspection Bill has also answered additional questions as we think of them. Due to the extent of the water damage I required two separate test. As a result of the excellent work by Your health Matters they were able to determine that the area had not been sufficiently cleaned and suggested that further remediation was required. I contacted Bill though his web site and he responded within a few hours. We were able to setup an appointment for the following day. Bill was on time, he explained the whole process and costs, and educated me on mold and remediation in general. He then conducted his inspection, took pictures, collected air samples, and answered all my questions. He then sent me a detailed report within 3 days including the lab report, and followed-up with an e-mail including some recommended remediation companies. I liked that Bill is an independent inspector and wasn't affiliated with any particular remediation company. My cost of service is higher than his base rate ($240) since I had extra air samples taken. I'd highly recommend Bill if you want a solid assessment of a mold issue.

Nobody likes to hear that they have a mold issue, especially one not covered by the homeowners insurance. But Bill's process and lab results were clear and compelling - something needed to be done. While Your Health Matters doesn't perform remediation, Bill gave me detailed instructions for DIY, and recommended a number of providers to bid the job. We looked elsewhere as well, but selected one of Bill's contacts who performed the remediation, and were glad we did. Bill at Your Health Matters gets my highest recommendation.

trustworthy results. This service is not connected with a mold remediation service. Mold remediation companies who do "free" inspections only want to sell you their remediation services. I would not trust their test results. Reporting to you that they found mold benefits them. Your Health Matters is professional and trustworthy. VERY happy with this service.
